Court upholds right of homeless couple to procreate

The New York Appellate Court ruled this week that a family court judge could not ban two homeless people from having children until they could get back their previous four children from foster care. Stephanie Pendleton and Rodney Evers are hardly poster parents. Not only do they have histories of drug abuse but three of their prior children tested positive for cocaine at birth. Yet, the family court judge overstepped her authority in prohibiting procreation according to the five-judge panel. For the full story, click here
