Iraqi Higher Education Being Destroyed by Militias Without U.S. Intervention

Reports from Iraq indicate that the once respected university system is being taken over by religious factions, which are killing professors and kidnapping students. While the U.S. is reportedly working with the Mahdi Army and its leader Moqtada al-Sadr (who has killed countless U.S. soldiers and was once sought by the U.S. for murder), these same forces are turning universities into their own controlled domains.
