I am a believer in doing what’s right. Prosecutor Worthy has done the right, for Detroit and its residents.

The sad part about previous comments,is that you take us all for idiots, just because of our geographical location. We desire great leadership, all people have been fooled at one point in time. This just happened to be our second time. We believed that he would be an intricate component in our GREAT CITY’S revival. Detroit, doesn’t deserve the constant ridicule from the nose-bleeds. Show us someone who honestly want to roll up their sleeves and fight a fair fight for us (residents of Detroit) and we will give them a chance.

He has let us down, we are hurting by this. We can’t stand for you always pointing fingers at us when in truth you need DETROIT.

Kilpatrick seems like a plain and simple thug. The sad thing is, I bet the trash of Detroit elect him again. I blame the liberals. Civil rights may have been violated in 1940, but by God the streets were safe at night. Now you have the criminals running the show. If Kilpatrick gets charged (big if) it will be a slap on the wrist, and the next election it will be back to business (pronounced biziness) as usual. Can’t you just here the Detroiters now “You don’t be tellin us no nuthin!” Detroit is a lost cause.

It’s only going to get worse. Kwame will get a slap on the hand and things will be business as usual. The gangsta mayor will be back in business. He likes that perception you know. It’s no wonder, The urban, outlaw, disrespectful to all attitude has been advertised and propigated by the government and corporations as natural and good in order to make millions on the behavior. Cheat on your wife, it’s the cool thing to do. You can get a pastor to rationalize it on television. Just a bump in the road. Breaking the law has become an honest mistake, unfortunate fall from grace but, temporary when all the other gangstas chime in publically, ” oh come now, this happens to the best of people”. So, because it happens often, we become desensitised to it and say he is still a good person when he really isn’t. Now a days, you can assume the roll of ( good person ) and still get away with murder. When I see Kwame on TV, I mute the sound. I may have to see hime from time to time but, I don’t have to go through the nausea of listening to his lies.

I think the mayor an Ms. Beatty should be prosecuted for perjury. His credibility as a mayor is shot, his actions criminal. Enough with shaming and disgracing my city. I say these things without prejudice, as I am an African American Detroiter that works hard to pay her taxes!

Detroit is one of the world’s great cities, now in a more convenient smaller size! But seriously, our mayor is not different from his peers in the political elite nationwide. The top-down presumption of electoral stupidity enables such displays of entitlement. In holding our leaders accountable the Detroit Free Press showed what a great city this is. Lets hope the national media can live up to this standard in the coming national election. (I’m not holding my breath.)

When will people ever come to realize that character counts when you’re voting someone in office? At a time when Detroit desperately needs to pull itself out of the deep hole it dug for itself, the good mayor continues to suck up resources and attention better spent elsewhere.

Let him step down and put this behind us. And then let’s get someone else in there who doesn’t flaunt his personal character flaws.
