Poor judgment seems to be the central theme of every governmental agency this pernicious administration has reigned. We learned of the politicization of long-standing agnostic relationships during the US Attorney scandal - the Corporatization of the US Miliatry - the indifference towards Disaster Preparedness - this list is virtually endless.

The key though is that this poor judgment is only symptom of the insidious decay. Many of the public servants are the same but the leadership has been systematically replaced with ideologues. Take advantage of a high debt driven subordinated employee force and voila - tyranny.

There are conspiracy theories and their are conspiracy theories. The Revolutionary War was a conspiracy theory too. However its pretty clear that there has been considerable breach of public trust in the form of the creepy re-definition of public service and the removal of civics from our educational system. A concerted effort to dumb down the population, as it were, and it would have worked, accept for the greed and apparent insanity.

We have a tax system that removes that transposes the power of the citizen to the power of a demographic. Move to a consumption tax - 3 largely predatory businesses, including the IRS become relics. Citizens can have more voice by simply not spending - and even though we're largely a needy bunch - we could do it. So to that end - skirmishes with Scientology, Ruby Ridge, Uni-bombers and the omni-present Al Quaeda, the resurgence of the Taliban and those darn parking lots full of Lou Dobb's nemeses will keep us plenty distracted and pray for those tough talking old men and women in Washington to keep us safe. Phooey !!!
