King of Morocco Pardons Man Sentenced to Three Years for Fake Facebook Page

Fouad Mourtada has been pardoned by the King of Morocco after being given an absurd three year sentence for creating a false facebook page making fun of the brother of King Mohammed VI.

The engineering student was sentenced for “the use of false information and usurping the identity of the prince”. While it is a relief that he was released from jail, the question still remains how the legal system could produce such an excessive sentence for such a silly act.
