I have some sympathy for the cops here. After all that firearm shootin’, and pig sqealin’ and pot bangin’, how could anyone see or hear Ms. Teen South Carolina’s commencement speech. For those who missed it before, it’s on Youtube:

““I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh,….”

Nothing is more irritating at a Graduation Ceremony than not being able to see the person whose graduation you are attending or even hearing his name pronounced because 20 people around you are standing up and screaming to let everybody know they are there to “support” the person who was just on the stage. People bring bull horns, bring car horns, bring sound alarms, clap in unison, scream at the top of their lungs, and do everything they can to prove to everybody “they are there and they care”.
