It doesn't matter much to me that Snow lied over and over again to all of us while he was Press Secretary, because that was his job. It does bother me how much he changed his position on Bush after he got the job and that he continued to lie after he left the job. At least hat neo-con, Zionist, Jew, Fleisher who always brown-nosed Bush or McLennan who started speaking the truth after he left the job.

I don't think that dying as a hypocrite and liar is worse than living as a hypocrite and a liar. And for those people that will say that it's not good to speak of the dead in that way, I'm sure they'll have good things to say about Bush and Chaney too.

Seeing these statements about Tony Snow coming from the Westboro BAPTIST Church, further comforts me as to the disposition of Tony's soul, as clearly, if THESE guys didn't like him, Jesus and him are likely to get along just fine.

In fact, my esteem for Tony Snow just increased fourfold, given during his tenure here he was able to draw the wrath of these noggin-nuggets.

:D

Way to go Tony.

The Westboro Baptist Church will be picketing Tony Snow's funeral at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

This was taken directly from this "Christian" churches website.

Tony Snow (Press Secretary for 6 "B"
George W. Bush) is dead, YES! He had a platform, he was given some small talent by his creator.

He was an unfaithful steward, and is now residing in hell.

Each opportunity he had to faithfully Report what the servants at WBC had to tell this country/world, Tony Snow besmerched and vilified the words of God and the people of God.

Now, who was it that was lecturing me that Churches aren't teaching Hate again?

Tony Snow definately was a breath of fresh air from Scott Mclellan. When Scotty was Press Secretary he put out the persona that the White House didn't like the American people, and just didn't care. Scotty had a really bully persona when he talked down to the press, and the people. When Tony came on it felt like the White House at least respected us enough again to put someone out there with a little wit, and some experience under their collar.

Now we get Dana Purina.

Its hard being talked down to by a "Security Mom" looking White House Press Secretary who doesn't know what the Cuban Missle Crisis was.

One of the things you, as a newbie, wouldn’t know about me, as a ‘player’ on the blog, is that my ancestors came here on the Mayflower and fought in the Revolutionary War.

:|

On the contrary, I've learned quite a bit about you over the past several days, Patty.

For example, I've learned that when you declare you are "done" with someone, and will "no longer read" their posts, that what you realy mean is you intend on doing nothing but reading their posts, and talking to them.

I know this, because 2 days ago, you said this;

---

Patty C
1, July 10, 2008 at 10:46 pm

I am not going to read your, nor any newbies’ series of posts

..and this;

Patty C
1, July 11, 2008 at 1:04 am
And I would like you to leave! I’ve had enough of your non-sense

:|

..and this;

Patty C
1, July 11, 2008 at 12:32 am

Enough with you, already!

I also know that you like to try and dress down visitors to this blog, by using condescending terms, like "newbie" while heralding some unverifiable supposed accomplishments, as if to try and shore up your crumbling position.

I know this, because you said this that same night;

Patty C
1, July 11, 2008 at 1:33 am

I and my team work with medical professionals, saving lives, all day -can you say the same?

...and now, here today;

Patty C
1, July 12, 2008 at 6:38 pm

is that my ancestors came here on the Mayflower and fought in the Revolutionary War.

..and this;

Patty C
1, July 12, 2008 at 6:38 pm

One was the first Governor of ‘Massachusetts’ ie one of the original 13 colonies

:|

I also know that you do this, in a vain attempt to dress down new bloggers, like suggesting that because your great great grandaddy was a stowaway on the Mayflower that somehow makes your commitment to our country, greater than someone elses.

Or because you theoretically work in the medical profession, that somehow makes you superior.

So what I have learned about you is pretty evident.

A. You like to attack new bloggers and use condescending terms like "newbie", presenting yourself as the de-facto blog monitor, but when they retort, you get angry, and cry about it.

B. You are unable to formulate coherent arguments when you do attack someone out of the blue, and attempt to shore them up by painting yourself as Dolly Madison and Eva Nightingale rolled into one, due to proclaimed professions and ancestry that no one here could possibly verify, "even" if it mattered, which it clearly does not.

C. When you say you're going to stop talking to someone, you apparently really mean that you won't stop talking to them.

So thats what I have learned about you.

Which is pretty much all I need to know.

However if you'd like, you could answer one question that's been puzzling me since your most recent unsolicited proclamation to me.

You said your ancestors fought in the revolutionary war.

:|

But you never said on which side.

A. You like to attack new bloggers and use condescending terms like “newbie”, presenting yourself as the de-facto blog monitor, but when they retort, you get angry, and cry about it.

B. You are unable to formulate coherent arguments when you do attack someone out of the blue, and attempt to shore them up by painting yourself as Dolly Madison and Eva Nightingale rolled into one, due to proclaimed professions and ancestry that no one here could possibly verify, “even” if it mattered, which it clearly does not.

C. When you say you’re going to stop talking to someone, you apparently really mean that you won’t stop talking to them.

So thats what I have learned about you.

Which is pretty much all I need to know.

However if you’d like, you could answer one question that’s been puzzling me since your most recent unsolicited proclamation to me.

You said your ancestors fought in the revolutionary war.

But you never said on which side.

As an open question to our little group, does anyone see the irony in taking advice on manners and etiquette from someone who has called me and my friends here the following: assclowns, jackass, crybaby, craven crow, circle-jerk pals, a child, skippy, slappy, and idiot. Have I missed any?

****

Yes, it's been going on for longer than anyone, here, might care to recognize - even within our own circle

It's one of the many reasons why most of my 'friends' AND, particularly, as a woman in my field, are men.

They are some of my BEST friends!

Tony always seemed like a nice guy and so did Tim Russert and while I don't doubt JT was friendly with both men, at least in passing, I had major differences with both of them, publicly - politically.

Did I have very strong negative feelings about Snow personally, his political opinions and his arrogance? Absolutely!!

However the day of his passing is just not the time to highlight such misgivings.

The mans dead. Not in an esoteric, cybersense. But dead. His family, his friends, (of whom Mr Turley was one) and even his opponents, naturally grieve at his passing, and are in "the moment" as it were of that loss

Bringing up your misgivings of him on the day of his passing, in a public venue set up to bid our farewells, is therefore contemptable, and should be beneath any here calling themselves an adult.

This is why, they call us moonbats.

I 'll concede the inadvertent lack of tact, but I was trying more for perspective. No matter what you think of this Administration you must likewise concede that no one will consider his/her tenure with this crowd a shining moment. The 19% approval rating about says it all. My lament went to his choice of such a public role on this ship of fools when he had many other options, and my belief that he likely never thought he would have to front for gang like this. Bad choices are made by us all, just not so publicly and that is the pity. On the "hater" line, I find it impossible for me to hate or love someone I do not know. Maybe you have a different experience.

Tony Snow On President Bush: ‘An Embarrassment,’ ‘Impotent,’ ‘Doesn’t Seem To Mean What He Says’»

[UPDATE: Also see what Tony Snow has to say on the issues.]

Fox News’ Tony Snow is expected to be named White House Press Secretary. Here’s some of what he’s had to say about the President:

    – Bush has “lost control of the federal budget and cannot resist the temptation to stop raiding the public fisc.” [3/17/06]

    – “George W. Bush and his colleagues have become not merely the custodians of the largest government in the history of humankind, but also exponents of its vigorous expansion.” [3/17/06]

    – “President Bush distilled the essence of his presidency in this year’s State of the Union Address: brilliant foreign policy and listless domestic policy.” [2/3/06]

    – “George Bush has become something of an embarrassment.” [11/11/05]

    – Bush “has a habit of singing from the Political Correctness hymnal.” [10/7/05]

    – “No president has looked this impotent this long when it comes to defending presidential powers and prerogatives.” [9/30/05]

    – Bush “has given the impression that [he] is more eager to please than lead, and that political opponents can get their way if they simply dig in their heels and behave like petulant trust-fund brats, demanding money and favor — now!” [9/30/05]

    – “When it comes to federal spending, George W. Bush is the boy who can’t say no. In each of his three years at the helm, the president has warned Congress to restrain its spending appetites, but so far nobody has pushed away from the table mainly because the president doesn’t seem to mean what he says.” [The Detroit News, 12/28/03]

    – “The president doesn’t seem to give a rip about spending restraint.” [The Detroit News, 12/28/03]

    – “Bush, for all his personal appeal, ultimately bolstered his detractors’ claims that he didn’t have the drive and work ethic to succeed.” [11/16/00]

    – “Little in the character of demeanor of Al Gore or George Bush makes us say to ourselves: Now, this man is truly special! Little in our present peace and prosperity impels us to say: Give us a great man!” [8/25/00]

    – “George W. Bush, meanwhile, talks of a pillowy America, full of niceness and goodwill. Bush has inherited his mother’s attractive feistiness, but he also got his father’s syntax. At one point last week, he stunned a friendly audience by barking out absurd and inappropriate words, like a soul tortured with Tourette’s.” [8/25/00]

    – “He recently tried to dazzle reporters by discussing the vagaries of Congressional Budget Office economic forecasts, but his recitation of numbers proved so bewildering that not even his aides could produce a comprehensible translation. The English Language has become a minefield for the man, whose malaprops make him the political heir not of Ronald Reagan, but Norm Crosby.” [8/25/00]

    – “On the policy side, he has become a classical dime-store Democrat. He gladly will shovel money into programs that enjoy undeserved prestige, such as Head Start. He seems to consider it mean-spirited to shut down programs that rip-off taxpayers and mislead supposed beneficiaries.” [8/25/00]

Mespo,

With all due respect, my statement, ..."You gave yourself away as a hater." could be a stretch. Only you know for sure. Your lament of the man's choices helped the thought pop into my head. With you his legacy is tarnished. Not necessarily so with others. I think yours was an assumptive statement in that regard. My apologies for generalizing your feelings so strongly and incorrectly.

"I have no idea by what stretch of logic or language you arrived at that impression..."

Please. Can you not see the less than tactful statement you made after giving your condolences?

I have no idea by what stretch of logic or language you arrived at that impression, but in mimicking your thought pattern I must conclude that you think the man was perfect and therefore are a "lover" of everything he did or said.
There are those whom I've met,

and those whom I've not,

And those whom I've seen from afar;

Yet they all have their role,

in shaping my soul,

And some even shine like a star.

--

So when one passes on,

to that place far beyond,

Where I know someday too I must go;

I am saddened inside,

and my tears cannot hide,

So I'll say fare thee well, Tony Snow.

--

I've seldom concurred,

with the words that you spoke,

but sometimes my brow I must bend;

When I see someones loss,

from that unearthly cost,

and the sadness of losing a friend.

RE: your second post

Look at your first post. You qualified your condolences. It wasn't necessary to make that criticism. You gave yourself away as a hater.

Tony Snow was a great guy, period. We will all miss him. My condolences to his family and friends.
