IT WAS NOT UNTIL LATER, TRYING TO EXPLAIN AWAY AND COME UP WITH VIABLE “EXCUSE” TO MAKE THIS GO AWAY DID HE POINT THE FINGER AT SOMEONE ELSE!! This reminds me of something that happened to in the mid seventy’s. I was 18 and was in a fiat 850 Spyder convertible (my father and I bought it for $200, because it didn;t run, and we fixed it up).

My friend and I were coming back from another friends house at about 11:00 at night. A car behind us started flashing it high beams at us, so I started going faster. Then they got right on our bumper, so I went faster (not very fast an 850 only has an 850cc engine). Eventually we pulled in to my friends house, jumped out and were going to run in to his house.

But the person in the car (normal looking car) behind us, got out between the car and the door and pointed a gun at us and yelled “STOP POLICE”. He kept the gun on us and made us lie down. He yelled at us for awhile for not stopping when he flashed his lights. Since I lived only 4 houses away he took me there, woke up my parents and told them he was suspicious of us driving that late and looking so young (I looked younger than 18), and us not stopping when he flashed his lights. He was very mad. He must have realized at some point he had nothing on us, so he gave my license to my Dad and said “I’m sure you’ll do what’s right with this”, my Dad handed my my license, and the cop left.

Sorry this is so long, but I haven’t thought of that in years, and it made me remember how scared we were with what we thought was some nut behind us. Being forced to the ground with a gun, was over the top. I lost a lot of respect for police that day.

16 years in prison as a sexual predator and former cop?

He’ll be lucky if he makes it out alive.

Although I’ve never been a fan of harsh sentencing, the 16 year sentence on one charge seems really light. If Larson’s lights weren’t on then we may be talking about murder. I think though that the authorities were trying to end this story ASAP, because on the face of it, many people were in on a cover up. It will be interesting to see if any real investigation takes place.

This is a really terrifying story. I wonder if chasing teen boys and either causing an “accident” or threatening to arrest the boys after high speed chases if they didn’t cooperate on his “exam” table is this guy’s MO. These actions remind me of the priest sex abuse cases where both the police and the church hierarchy covered up multiple cases of abuse. To use a position of authority to abuse others and/or cover up that abuse is despicable. I hope a real investigation is done and all involved brought into the light of day.

The overwhelming majority of police it this case certainly are not good people just trying to do a good job.
