I should also note that Red Bull only claims that Its Gives You Wings in an unadulterated form. The addition of the large quantity of vodka would be viewed as a substantial alteration under product liability and a breach of any implied warranty.

Could this potentially be a false advertising suit waiting to happen? After all, as a high jumper the Red Bull tag line “It gives you wings,” would be pretty tempting.

It could have been worse. He could have had too much MD 20/20 before the meet and he would have attempted the jump, but it would have been hours before he came down.
