I agree with both of you that the parents shouldn’t be chastised for the actions of an adult child, but with the Republican party, I expect them to bring this up whenever possible. They have a very short memory when Republicans are in trouble. Good luck to Congressman Boyd with your son’s issues and with having to deal with the Florida Republican party.

That is a valuable insight. The fact is that Rep. Boyd should not be held responsible for the actions of an adult son. At 30 years, he is responsible for his own conduct. I expect Boyd will have a tough time with this story given the importance of illegal immigration in Florida. However, I do not attribute blame to the parents in such a case.
