Looking at the other side, and Ex con with an AK 47.. well if an ex con can get one when it is ALREADY aginst the law, well that shows that gun control does not work.

Face it people ex cons and the ex cons to come DO NOT obey the law. If you make something illegal then only the honest people will obey.

I cant help but wonder, In the world today what parent would let their child knock on a door of someone they dont know to BEG FOR CANDY. The whole concept of trick or treat is foolish. I am 50 years old and my parents knew better when I was a kid and I would never risk my kids life for a few cents worth of candy.

Yes, and I would strongly oppose such invasion of privacy through unlawful search and seizure. Such actions as you mentioned are a Bush et al. administration’s dreams coming true as long as it would not include their residences or those of their supporters.

This must not be about gun control but definitive control of criminals, through the death penalty if required, to rid society of murderous felons who commit crimes with guns.

playjojo, I do not drink alcoholic beverages and we all know about the damage alcohol abuse does to our society. Therefore, if authorities suspect that you or others have alcohol in your or others’ home, then that should give them the right to invade privacies to confiscate it?

I don’t think so. He does’nt know a porch light on, on halloween, means come on up? That’s an ambush, pure and simple. Another reason for gun control. A felon with a gun. You gotta love it. And you know, they tried a program, where if they thought a household had weapons, they would go in and search, but people immediatly starting screaming about the rights of individuals. Everyone want’s something done, but the minute something is initiated, they have find a problem.

I strongly support the death penalty in this and other heinous murderer cases. The evidence here far exceeds the standard of beyond a reasonable doubt and this murder is about as certain as evidence can possibly establish.

In my jurisprudential opinion, certainty must be established before applying the death penalty and this case meets that rigid standard.

The robbery excuse was just a felon’s grasping for any way out of a bad situation. It is sad that this murderer had to end the life of a child just out to have some All-American fun on Halloween. I also hope that this low-life should be spending the rest of his years behind bars.

I agree, that an ex con should not have had any weapon at all on him. Even if he was worried about the robbery that happened, it was halloween, which means a lot of kids and people are going to be knocking at your door. it doesn’t take much effort to look out your window first to see who it is before you just start firing off 29 rounds out of an AK47. As for the girl running away with the 7500, that just makes the situation even more suspicious. People that do things like this, are the reason holidays start to get ruined for little kids. some parents are already scared to send their children out trick or treating at night, and I’m pretty sure this isn’t going to help at all.

And the girlfriend running with 7500 in cash from the home of her convicted drug felon boyfriend… gosh, do we need to call “Law and Order” to have them tell us they were involved in drug activity?

Probably robbed and shot before by someother drug loser. If you lie with dogs, you got no right to complain about the fleas…

Clearly murder. He intended to kill whoever was behind the door and did so without provocation, and no reasonable person would ever think it was self defense. Any judge who lets him use a self-defense instruction is retarded. Since when is a knock at the door a reasonable basis for use of deadly force?

I am just curious what an ex-con is doing with ANY weapon let alone an assult rifle.

He is an idiot and ought to rot in jail for the damage he has done to that family as well as the additional damage he does to all of the rest of us out here that LEGALLY own and value our right to keep and bear arms.
