Speaking of “pre-historic traditions,” I can now happily report that anyone who publicly reports the appearance of the Virgin Mary or any other apparition will be officially disbelieved by the Roman Catholic Church. New guidelines require the faithful, possessed of the third eye or to whom a revelation occurs, to report same to his parish priest or bishop whereupon the lucky anointed one will be besieged by an army of theologians and psychologists (who may be atheists btw)to assess the validity of their claims and whether they are non compos mentis. Should the visionary pass this test, he/she will then be brought before a group of demonologists and exorcists to be quesioned to “exclude the possibility that Satan is hiding behind the apparitions in order to deceive the faithful.”

I now predict the number of weeping statutes and miraculous appearances in the clouds will precipitously drop to negligible numbers. A special papal bull is rumored to preclude JT from publicly blogging about three feet long tablets depicting the risen Messiah years before the biblical event unless he likewise undergoes the battery of demonologists and exorcists, his compos mentis status already having been determined.

Good one, Sally. Took me 10 seconds to get it though. I would have said: They have to be buried up to the head that does the thinking, or some such. Not to make light of the situation, but I guess the same principle applies to the judges (if they have them there); that’s why they aren’t buried at all, eh?
