This one below shows a woman stripping and going “fur free” (at 3:05) This is a bit over the top! The woman is before a “session” of Congress (State of the Union-type) and current members are shown clapping as she disrobes.

I had to watch the video twice; however, only to ensure I got the facts straight before I posted here. The video also shows animals being slaughtered after the “bait” prelude of the stripper.

I am taking PETA seriously for the first time (atleast the first time since I saw the yanked superbowl add)

And just using the word “yanked” makes me think of Buddha’s dire warnings about the potential to really dwell in the gutter when discussing this very important news item.

One thinks about the irony of PETA’s prohibition on eating animals, especially domestic animals , like dogs and cats, even baby cats. The most recent stunt seems to indicate that petty, even heavy petty of some of these animals might, in some instances, be appropriate.

I even like that they got a spokesman for Ceazae Chavez to pose with them behind the life raft. Yeah, a life raft, because that’s what it is. By raising awareness they’re saving the lives of untold numbers of dogs, puppies, even a pussey or two. Maybe some cows. Maybe you if you put down that Philly Cheese Steak so you don’t get you key board greesey while you hit replay over and over and over again.

Maybe I’m just the target audience of a shrewed cynical add campaign. I know I’m the target audiance for Turley’s comedy hi-jinx.

I agree that the opportunities for wry commentary about this article are rife and also that the “Danger Will Robinson”-meter is off the chart. Or as that sage philosopher, MC Hammer, once observed, “Can’t touch ‘is…”.

I noticed this happened in Texas. There is another article on today’s slate about tainted beef in Texas as well. One wonders if JT scours Texas’ news more so than other states for these bizarre stories or if there’s something in the water there.

How can anyone take this organization seriously anymore?

I can’t say anything about this without getting myself in trouble. Discretion is the better part of valor . . . it’s just not the fun part. But I will offer PETA this advice – Larry Flynt is probably not the best guy to get marketing advice from when your goal is to be taken seriously. Oh, you’ll get attention all right, but I thought your goal was to save animals, not give erections. I could be mistaken.
