i have not heard of a single misuse of the right to protect
we need it to protect our property next and stop the theives

sounds very hypocritical to me.
i do not think another law is necessary it should be thrown out by the judge

lawyers should not be allowed to becom legislators
it should be even stronger than seperation of church and state

The wording creates a situation where apparently almost any act by the pregnant woman could be construed as legal. Many a lawyer will be able to argue that in an emotionally or hormonally “challenging” state, the mother “reasonable” to feel that lethal force was needed. On the other hand, if someone is trying to hit a pregnant woman in the stomach with a 2×4, that mother absolutely has the right to stop that person at all costs. This law is probably not necessary, due to existing laws being applicable in my above example, but to the extent that they aren’t, perhaps some skillfully-worded legislation would be in order…
