It speaks to the tax exemption as well as other, more frightening, implications of The Family! Churchill said a lot of things worth quoting, but not that line about the navy. Just another legend. Too bad.

I’m glad you mentioned, Professor, that this country is not all that far ahead of India as far as the legality of homosexuality is concerned. But the GLBT community still does not have anything approaching equal rights here, and “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” should be a supreme embarassment to us, not to mention a real hindrance to our military.

I trust you’ll let us know when India finishes considing it and the actual repeal of the ban on homosexuality comes about.
