I know a couple that at one time kept 2 snakes, good sized snakes 2-3 feet long. Well, St. Louis had one of its frequent, power outages and it was winter. Their apartment got pretty cold so they each put ‘their’ snake in its own pillow case, then each put a pillow case under their jacket and spent the night and most of the next day going from one restaurant (all night Pancake House, White Castle etc) to another in various parts of the county that hadn’t lost power and killed time over coffee and junk food until the power in their neighborhood was restored. The snakes did just fine. :-)
