Sen. Craig Pleads Guilty to Criminal Charge for Disorderly Conduct in an Airport Bathroom

Sen. Craig is not viewed as one of the legislators who routinely raises civil liberties and protections for the criminal accused. However, after pleading guilty to criminal charges in Minneapolis, he insists that he should have consulted with an attorney.

According to Roll Call, this arrest stemmed from an incident at the Minneapolis airport when police were called in to investigate complaints of lewd conduct in a men’s restroom. Craig pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly and was fined $1,000 and charged $575 in fees. He is on unsupervised probation for a year with a sentence of 10 days in the county workhouse stayed.

Craig issued the following statement:
“At the time of this incident, I complained to the police that they were misconstruing my actions,” he said. “I should have had the advice of counsel in resolving this matter. In hindsight, I should not have pled guilty. I was trying to handle this matter myself quickly and expeditiously.”

  1. Southernvoice, I have bad news for you. This guy is a conservative Republican from the Midwest. Seems he was “minconstrued” just like that Florida Republican a few weeks ago, who also was misunderstood just like the Florida Republican last year just like . . . Geez. They’re all Republicans. Go figure.

Why don’t those gay Republicans just come out of the closet and quit their gay-bashing.

When you charge the halls of Congress, just make sure you turn right when you go in.

  2. Well I would like to know what actions were misconstrued. What in the world could he have been doing in the men’s bathroom at the airport. Perhaps he didn’t know that thing on the wall with hot air was for drying his hands.

If people like the liberals out of the northeast are going to support the gay lifestyle then why in the heck don’t they proudly admit to being gay themselves.

Dear God please help us to clean out our sleasy Congress. I am willing to join other Americans if you are willing to pick up your guns and march on Washington DC and drag people out of the Capitol, the White House and the Supreme court and shoot them all.

I just can’t take it any more. Too many black thugs in sports and too many total thugs in DC. Somebody git a rope.
