Anchors Away: Philadelphia Embroiled In Another Television Anchor Scandal

1_61_111308_loridelgadoPhiladelphia has another television anchor scandal. It appears that journalists in the city prefer to cover themselves in a perpetual motion machine of media stories.

If you recall, anchor Alycia Lane at CBS affiliate KYW-TV was arrested for scuffling with New York City police officers and then fired. Her co-anchor, Larry Mendte is facing a long prison sentence for hacking into Lane’s emails as part of a feud between the two anchors.

Now, over at rvial WCAU-TV, 44-year-old anchorman, Vince DeMentri, has filed a complaint that he was fired over an affair with a colleague. However, his alleged paramour, Lori Delgado, 26, was allowed to keep her job. Delgado quit last month, saying she was afraid of DeMentri. Delgado’s lawyer has accused DeMentri of stalking her and confronting her husband.

Who needs to leave the studio with breaking news at the anchor desk itself?
