For criminal defense attorneys, regional differences can often produce localized forms of practice. The attorney for Marcel Fournier, 19, has one such case in Burlington, Vermont. Fournier was arrested for bolting antlers on the head of a dead doe to conceal game violations.
It is illegal to hunt after dark or to shot a deer without antlers. Fournier shot the deer the evening of Nov. 22 and used bolts and epoxy to attach a 10-point rack. He then pose with the deer and tried to register it as a lawful kill. However, a game warden (tipped off by an anonymous source) spotted the augmentation upon closer examination.
Fournier was sentenced to 10 days in jail and will be barred from getting a state hunting, fishing or trapping license for at least three years.
I lived in Burlington VT for a year, this particular story does not surprise.

LOL, but forget the particular law he might have broken this guy deserves the 10 days for being abysmally stupid.
I’m just glad he didn’t try to bolt something else on to disguise the animal’s sexual identity.
