Giving Thanks for Sarah Palin

Thanksgiving would not be complete without the Palin Turkey Slaughter video. As she speaks to reporters, look over her shoulder. A man proceeds to slaughter less politically connected turkeys behind her.

Of course, Palin may be able to claim to have personally uncovered health code violations. Open-air slaughtering may be permitted in Alaska, but that place looks like an invitation for a surprise inspection.

defaultI love how the turkey guy is watching eagerly as he stuffs a turkey head first in the machine. It is a powerful backdrop for Palin to recount her blessings of the year. I particularly like how Palin speaks of how brutal the campaign has been with the guy working over these birds in the background.

Enjoy and gives thanks that Palin is coming back into our political and social lives.

  2. Poor Tina Fey; with Palin failing to fade-to-black for the reasons set out above (Palin The Quitter=low horsepower), Tina can’t work out whether to feel her future is exhausting and/or exciting.

    Too be sure, Sarah Palin brings great joy to Democrats, progressives, and comedians alike. For my own amusement, I would actually like to see her on the campaign trail in 2012 running for president. Oh, the material she’d provide for The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Tina Fey and SNL used The Great Lady Maverick’s own words–nearly verbatim–in a couple of their funniest TV skits of 2008.

  9. Thanks, “empirecookie”, but I could only watch 3 minutes of the video. (I’ll have to watch the rest of it later.) Refer to Mike Spindell’s comments, especially:

    We should not estimate those who would like Sarah Palin to be President — and I’m not talking about the average person who supports her. How many of us believed that GWB would be elected?

  11. Thank you yet again, Mike S. I have to say that I learned the meaning of the phrase “compassionate conservatism” the hard way.” Also, via “the hard way”, I’ve come to realize what trouble were in, as a nation. As you rightly said and it bears repeating:

    If we aren’t careful, we might just end up with Sarah P. in the Oval Office. As a caring but complacent friend recently said, “I didn’t think that George W. Bush would ever be elected, either, so I’m little concerned about Sarah Palin.” And we do know that if elections are stolen, they’re sometimes given away by the Supreme Court. So we’d better be careful and vigilant… I think that I saw a NY Times editorial recently about one company taking over all of the voting machines, by buying out the other companies. It may already be a done deal… Anybody know?
