VOTE NOW: HOURS TO GO TO THE CLOSING OF THE ABA POLLS!

The final day is here in the galactic struggle for blog dominance. This afternoon, voting will end and, while the vote count has now been hidden by the ABA, we cannot give up our righteous battle.

To that end, we are unleashing our 40 inspirational speeches from Lottakatz:

  1. Hi Buddha,

One thing you could never be called is a “follower” even of JT.

Yes indeedy, Marc lost even if he thinks he won; and we only became “twats” after we called him out for trolling and twisting words that were clearly tongue-in-cheek!
At least we saved the kittens! Meow!

  2. CEJ,

Thanks for the link. It’s quite giggle inducing.

Awww. Marc the Kitten Killer thinks we’re a bunch of “twats”. Isn’t that just adorable.

He thinks we’d give a damn about what he thinks of us “followers” after he’s acted like a total douche.

    Narcissism can be so entertaining.

I hope Mr. Personality wins every year. Just so he can feel good about himself since he seems to need it. Hell, I might even rig it for him next year just for fun. My contribution to his psychotherapy, a kickstand for his obviously fragile ego.

I’m still just amazed anyone would care enough about an ABA award on any kind of serious level to merit acting like he does. Worse still, some people were actually paying for votes! WTF? How pathetic it that?

But then again, I’m the kind of guy who’d use an Oscar as a holder for a roll of paper towels or maybe a doorstop. A Nebula Award for a coaster. The Nobel Prize as a paperweight. Awards never have impressed me. They are nice but hardly important. Crap to fill wall and table space that have no function by ego stroking. They call that “clutter” or “useless junk” in most sensible places. The play is the thing, not the praise. I guess some people are just more self-contained than others and derive their sense of self-worth and self image from things other than external validation like awards and pats on the head from authority figures.

This is what happens when you don’t pay enough attention to your children: they seek replacements for parental approval and guidance and/or act out. If Marc needs awards to fill that hole in his soul? That says a lot more about him than it does the Prof or any of the regular posters here . . . even the pet troll.

“Both Simple Justice and LS have very restrictive moderation, they both seem like control freaks neither of whom can stand even friendly criticism, they both edit out the parts they don’t like.”

That’s dedication to the First Amendment if I’ve ever seen it!

    FFLeo:

    How’ve you been there chap?

  4. Hi FFLEO,

I think they are just jealous and take things way to seriously. As far as hat tip’s no one is more gracious than JT.

    Mespo,

You are right about the comments there versus here; and there is no comparing the sense of community here. Both Simple Justice and LS have very restrictive moderation, they both seem like control freaks neither of whom can stand even friendly criticism, they both edit out the parts they don’t like.

  5. Hi Mespo,

It is amazing, I too never thought he would get more votes; but he sunk to trolling and now he has to live with his tainted win!

  6. From CEJ’s link (thanks, you are a good detective)

It clearly means a lot more to him than it does to me.

My only beef with Turley is his lack of hat tipping. Christ, does it really take so much effort? I even HT to him when I find stories on his blog.

But… Turley’s blog is a lot like christianity. The guy who founded it might be a great guy, but his most supportive followers are a bunch of twats.

I’ve chided him on occasion about his failure to link to his source for posts, something he never does.

That last statement is false, unless I misunderstand, because Prof Turley links to all of the sources of his articles because I most often read the links before I comment
