Next time you are asked that question from a pot dealer, you may want to ask if he is speaking figuratively or literally. Police in Tucson, Arizona stopped a truck with a septic tank filled with human waste . . . and 743 pounds of pot.
This is one bust when you really do not want to be the most junior officer on the scene. Someone got the job of pulling out the pot from the waste and it sure was not going to be the ranking officer on the scene.
The driver, Leonard Salcido, 24, of Tucson, was arrested and and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana.

But the reviewer, career veteran David Margolis, downgraded that assessment to say they showed “poor judgment,” say the sources. The shift is significant: the original finding would have triggered a referral to state bar associations for potential disciplinary action—which, in Bybee’s case, could have led to an impeachment inquiry.

A long time ago, I lived in Port Canaveral, FL. Customs used to bring in the boats that they seized for drug running. These boats were overloaded with marijuana. They were so overloaded that a good amount of the stuff would get into the bilge and be subsequently pumped overboard. We paid attention to the tide and netted the floating pot. It tasted like seaweed by that time, but it still worked just fine. Best of all it was free. The customs guys never did hassle us for doing it either.
I remember the old saying “Customs guys have the best pot. Speaking from first hand experience. I must say that is/was a true statement.

Thanks for the update.
I’m not too surprised. Advice given to the CIC is just that, advice. The first one to be held accountable would be the person(s) who performed the torture. Thereafter, it should proceed all the way up the chain of command, and include the CIC.
We have one guy at the top of our military chain of command. Those giving him advice are the least accountable.
Everyone along the line has a duty to disobey an unlawful order. I know that’s a pretty big burden to put on a private, but it is not an excuse.
