Psst, Looking For Some Really Good Sh-t? Arizona Police Find Almost 800 Pounds of Pot in Septic Tank

Next time you are asked that question from a pot dealer, you may want to ask if he is speaking figuratively or literally. Police in Tucson, Arizona stopped a truck with a septic tank filled with human waste . . . and 743 pounds of pot.

This is one bust when you really do not want to be the most junior officer on the scene. Someone got the job of pulling out the pot from the waste and it sure was not going to be the ranking officer on the scene.

The driver, Leonard Salcido, 24, of Tucson, was arrested and and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana.

  1. The skunk would of had a flavour of its own. Like the bit about the junior copper, you can just imagine it. The The high racking officer shouting at the junior officer to get his but in there and get it out. Oh well sounds like the driver of the lorry is in sh!t now.

  3. lottakatz,

Here’s more info about the torture memo inquiry

“While the probe is sharply critical of the legal reasoning used to justify waterboarding and other “enhanced” interrogation techniques, NEWSWEEK has learned that a senior Justice official who did the final review of the report softened an earlier OPR finding. Previously, the report concluded that two key authors—Jay Bybee, now a federal appellate court judge, and John Yoo, now a law professor—violated their professional obligations as lawyers when they crafted a crucial 2002 memo approving the use of harsh tactics, say two Justice sources who asked for anonymity discussing an internal matter. But the reviewer, career veteran David Margolis, downgraded that assessment to say they showed “poor judgment,” say the sources. (Under department rules, poor judgment does not constitute professional misconduct.) The shift is significant: the original finding would have triggered a referral to state bar associations for potential disciplinary action—which, in Bybee’s case, could have led to an impeachment inquiry.

A Justice official declined to explain why David Margolis softened the original finding, but noted that he is a highly respected career lawyer who acted without input from Holder.”

  4. I got ready to hit the sack when my mispelling of gracious came to me. I know most here just accept the mispelling of an occasional (or was that accasional) word as a “mind fart”, but since it was part of an expression of thanks, I thought it worthwhile to correct.

  8. Harman was wiretapped by the Bush Administration and Pelosi knew about it.

“Congressional Quarterly reported on the wiretap earlier this week. Current and former administration officials confirmed for The Post that Harman could be heard discussing the possibility of asking Bush White House officials about seeking leniency for two lobbyists for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, both of whom were subsequently indicted for espionage charged under a World War I-era espionage law with conspiring to give national defense information to journalists and Israeli Embassy officials. Prosecutors are reviewing the case now and considering dropping the case.”

I guess when the Government does it it is for a benevolent purpose or is that deviant purpose as well?

  9. Amon Re,

Sorry about the confusion. I was trying to clarify your statement.

It’s not worth getting into a deep discussion about. Just know that I meant no disrespect.

    That was funny.

A long time ago, I lived in Port Canaveral, FL. Customs used to bring in the boats that they seized for drug running. These boats were overloaded with marijuana. They were so overloaded that a good amount of the stuff would get into the bilge and be subsequently pumped overboard. We paid attention to the tide and netted the floating pot. It tasted like seaweed by that time, but it still worked just fine. Best of all it was free. The customs guys never did hassle us for doing it either.

I remember the old saying “Customs guys have the best pot. Speaking from first hand experience. I must say that is/was a true statement.

  11. Ok Im going off thread big time now…first DUH…. if your gay and a mortician thankyou for telling me….but I have to tell your politically Im about as polar differentt than you in every way….your political viewpoint is the predominate in our industry than mine…..

  12. Lottakatz:

I don’t think that is off topic,o’keefe didn’t justify torture, and these guys( yoo&bybee) are walking?
I think its right on topic, although the justice dept isn’t involved with o’keefe for all I know. This shows that anything is possible

  13. lottakatz,

    Thanks for the update.

I’m not too surprised. Advice given to the CIC is just that, advice. The first one to be held accountable would be the person(s) who performed the torture. Thereafter, it should proceed all the way up the chain of command, and include the CIC.

We have one guy at the top of our military chain of command. Those giving him advice are the least accountable.

Everyone along the line has a duty to disobey an unlawful order. I know that’s a pretty big burden to put on a private, but it is not an excuse.
