The Dog Graduate

This looks like a scene out of the doggie remake of the movie “The Graduate” when Dustin Hoffman is confronted about his drifting in the pool instead of finding a job or going to graduate school.

In the prior scene, Rex is tempted by an older female canine.

He then has the following exchange with his owner:

Owner: Rex, what are you doing?
Rex: Well, I would say that I’m just drifting. Here in the pool.
Owner: Why?
Rex: Well, it’s very comfortable just to drift here.
Owner: Have you thought about graduate school?
Rex: No.
Owner: Would you mind telling me then what those four years of dog obedience school were for? What was the point of all that hard work?
Rex: You got me.

  1. I am impressed that you had the lines from the Graduate. Really impressed if they were from memory. Great movie and great picture of a dog that loves the water.

  2. pete,

In all fairness to the dog, he thought he was going to get “tutored”.

untill he remembered what the vet had removed at his last visit.
