Man With Qatar Plates Races Through Beverly Hills, Almost Hit Bystanders, Assaults Reporter, and Then Claims Diplomatic Immunity

Screen Shot 2015-09-15 at 8.29.43 PMWe have periodically discussed the use of diplomatic immunity to avoid criminal conduct in the United States. The latest such case occurred in Beverly Hills where two men raced a white Porsche 911 and a yellow Ferrari LaFerrari through the streets of the city — running stop signs and barely missing pedestrians. When the yellow car was followed to a $10 million home, the driver threatened the reporter and claimed diplomatic immunity — allegedly adding “F*** America” for good measure. He even allegedly told the reporter that he could murder him and not be held accountable.

Screen Shot 2015-09-15 at 8.30.25 PMVideo journalist Jacob Rogers followed the man as he pulled his smoking race car into a driveway. He said that the driver said “I could have you killed and get away with it.”

A new LaFerrari could cost as much as $5 million. Police are discussing the case with United States State Department and the owners of the home refuse to speak to the media. However, the license plate of the Ferrari belonged to Qatar.

  1. forgotwho….jests….it could get worse as in in your face worse. Lets say a fraud like trump gets elected. And told to do x they won’t but the apprentice will. The fifth thousand ses who run america are ‘yes’ men….and if they don’T some unsderling will. Until we the people realize it is the ses running our country…..we can’t take it back from the admin state. Worse yet is military promo where they tap from within without any civilian control. If you donlt want gay to be an element of promotion you needed to say so yesterday. Fallon he can’t stamd on his own he neesds the gay card. Pussies.

  2. “Qatar is the country “supervising” the 5 Taliban prisoners we swapped for Traitor Bowe Bergdahl.”

Not to put too fine a point on it, but BARRACK OBAMA swapped the 5 Taliban Field Generals for a

    deserter-cum-traitor.

We need to be very concerned with what someone like Trump would do in office.

We don’t need to be concerned at all with the unassailable, momentous achievements of Barrack Obama.

    Right?

On yeah. I’m real worried about what Trump would do in office.

  3. The elevated camel shepherds of various Arabic countries are not “royals.” They are lucky and have their power as a consequence of the outcome of Word War One.

The often denounced Presidents of various Arabic countries from the Assads back to Gamel Nasser have far more legitimacy than the socalled “royals.”

  4. Sounds like another spoiled royal with no manners or respect for human life acting out.

If he’s loudly proclaiming he can kill any of us with immunity, it’s time to send him home. He clearly will not respect our laws.

And I am very curious about the idea of letting fellow diplomats or their people rumble. What would he do? Call the police? The other guy would have diplomatic immunity, too.

  5. moreover how did he get the car? Dealers have to collect for title and registration….so it is registered to someone in usa who agreed to hwy laws and operation thereon. So the seller or registered owner could be liable for negligent entrustment or the like….that’ll stop their supply. If the diplomat registered (driver) then he may have waived immunity….depending on the promises made to the state registrar. Still an incomplete article….one that leaves the impression diplomats can get away with murder. Which they can’t…the smoke and mirror class wouldn’t allow it.

  6. Qatar is the country “supervising” the 5 Taliban prisoners we swapped for Traitor Bowe Bergdahl.

  7. don’t you have to be ‘diplomatic’ for such immunity? Do we have to accept terrorists as ‘diplomats’? What a loop hole. Thing is where in the constitution is diplomatic immunity? Art III clearly envisions them going to court. Moreover was he on a state or federal hwy? He may have had qatar plates but no state plate on either end? So their cars don’t even have to be registered? So anyone could impersonate another country with ‘plates’? Probably wasn’t even from qatar….could be anyone.

  8. Another Arab friend. The U.S. has a naval base in Qatar (pronounced gutter) as far as I’m concerned we should pull out and leave’em for Isis. and kick this A hole out and let go race his camel. By the way Saudi Arabia has 100,000 air conditioned tents ready for use, how about taking in a few refugees

  9. Cops deal w/ entitlement, chips on shoulders, from the entire spectrum of socioeconomic people, from homeless people[yes, some have chips on their shoulders] to Qatar trash driving Ferrari’s. I’m guessing most everyone here would abide a rough handcuffing of this entitled gent. But, from a cops standpoint, it doesn’t matter if the entitled jerk is this guy or homeless, they are all rebellious, and potentially dangerous.

This brings us to a topic I discussed here several years ago. If you grew up blue collar, ethnic, like I did, then if you had a chip on your shoulder and got outta line, well, you got your butt kicked. And, getting ones butt kicked is a GREAT way to lose that chip on your shoulder. But, if you grow up now in the middle class and upward, say on the north shore of Chicago, physically knocking the chip off a guy like this shoulder is simply not acceptable.

There will always be guys w/ chips on their shoulder from every class. What is deeply disturbing to me is the epidemic of entitlement in all socioeconomic groups. I walk a lot. One of my routes is through the U. of WI. campus. I’ve been doing this for 30 years now. Over the last 10-15 years I have noticed an exponential growth of entitlement and narcissism in the students on campus. Many of these kids think their feces doesn’t stink. They are not necessarily from wealthy homes. Many are kids of govt. employees homes, since govt. is one of the biggest employers in this nation now. They have been taught that they are “special” and no one can say “boo” to them. I often wonder what the world would be like if it were acceptable for guys like this Ferrari driver, or the frat boys w/ their noses in the air, to get their butts kicked like in the neighborhood I grew up in. Oh, I know, that wouldn’t be civilized. After all the Ferrari guy was being quite civilized, wasn’t he?

  10. Diplomatic immunity to disobey our Laws? I think someone has misinterpreted what Diplomatic Immunity is for. Of course, most of the Laws of the United States of America have been misinterpreted for beneficial gain, Take a look at our Public Employees / Agency’s of the people.

Quite right ND. The guy could become a target. It would be good if he became a target. Let’s hope he becomes a target.”
