Have You Seen This Clown?

http---prod.static9.net.au-_-media-2016-08-22-14-38-clown.ashx?w=603The world is full of male fences for stolen goods. However, some items can be a tad more difficult to fence than others. Take the massive inflatable clown from Adelaide’s Loritz Circus.

All the police have concluded (and this is a quote) is that the thief “does not suffer from coulrophobia (a fear of clowns).” The deflated clown was taken at a service station.

The police are looking for the beloved clown, but I expect detection will follow inflation.

  1. I remember when Jack-in-the-Box blew up Jack in TV ads. It was part of a modernization move. Children were traumatized. Parents wrote letters and made phone calls to Jack-in-the-Box. Peasants gathered pitchforks. You do not mess with clowns.

  2. In our town someone took a big boy, leaving only a note claiming: “Big Boy is dead”. Will this clown suffer a similar fate? Will clowns unite to pay ransom for his return?

  3. Cosmo Kramer has a neurotic fear of clowns. Since John Wayne Gacy was a clown, maybe it’s not neurotic.

    1. Uh, because no woman would be stupid enough to buy this thing and then try to resell it??? Plus, can you imagine the kind of sexual freak who would show up to buy a “Huge Inflatable Clown?” I mean those Jenna Jameson blow-up dolls are pretty creepy, but at least they are sort of humanoid, from what I hear. But this clown??? Eww! You wouldn’t even want to handle that guy’s money, not knowing where it had been.

      1. So, we now rename the “No True Scotsman” fallacy, and call it the “No True Woman” fallacy. I see myriad social problems here.
