Prominent Jordanian Writer Murdered Outside of Blasphemy Trial

nahed_hattarimage001-e1471193063971We previously discussed the ridiculous case of prominent Jordanian writer, Nahed Hattar, 56, who was charged with blasphemy for merely sharing this cartoon. The charge was a disgrace for a nation that long prided itself on being a moderate Arab nation. It is increasingly succumbing to extreme Islamic voices and the charges against this writer were a worrisome development. Now he is dead. A man dressed in traditional Islamic garb shot and killed Hattar as he walked outside of the court in Amman.

Hattar was facing charges with inciting sectarian strife and insulting Islam after posting the cartoon, entitled The God of Daesh (ISIS), depicting an ISIS militant sitting next to two women and asking God to bring him a drink.

In another example of the contempt of extreme Islamic followers for the rule of law, Hattar was shot three times in the head as he waited to face the charges.

His brothers chased down the killer and held him.

I am less than impressed by cries of outrage from government officials. The government was responsible for these absurd charges and the denial of free speech protections. They set the stage that allowed this murderer to gun down a man waiting to defend himself.

  1. Okay, yes, Jordan actually encouraged others to take the law into their own hands and kill Nahed Hattar. So what’s new here? That Jordan isn’t as “moderate” as some thought it was? That is absurd. Jordan is just like any other Islamic nation. Take your pick. If you don’t toe the Islamic party line to the max, you’re dead: at a minimum, spiritually speaking.

But at the same time, those holding this murder out in mock outrage are hypocrites. This too is nothing new. Leftists who promote Islam are always hypocrites. They couldn’t be otherwise.

So, while the leftists feign outrage, they will be voting for Hillary Clinton, who not only promises–but guarantees–that more Islamic “migrants” will be imported en masse. The end result is completely predictable: more Muslims means more Terrorism. So Clinton will be importing terrorists en masse. That’s the bottom line.

And what will the leftists say after terrorism spikes in city after city? They will argue that more and more controls on civil liberties must be put into effect for the public’s “protection.” Thus, free speech will be banned. Guns will be confiscated. Phones and computers will be tapped, tracked, and recorded. And, of course, the leftists know that as the population becomes more and more frightened and passive, as well as corrupted, that their stranglehold over the population will become even stronger.

Are we getting the picture here yet? Oh, but please keep up the “outrage” while voting for the very thing that promises MORE outrage. But the thing is, in time, it will be too late, and you won’t be permitted to express any outrage at all.

    1. Um, no. Jordan has anti-sedition and anti-blasphemy laws. We have laws against drug possession and prostitution. We’re not in the business of encouraging anyone to kill Spicoli or to kill anyone’s johns. You haven’t offered one quotation to indicate that Jordanian authorities incited murder against this man.

We get it. You haven’t even coarse-grained knowledge of the legal and political order in any Muslim country, but aren’t adverse to shooting your mouth off.

      1. Ultrasubcretin, read, understand, think, and reason and then attempt to respond to my post. You haven’t even gotten past the first two things. Read: “Nahed Hattar, 56, who was charged with blasphemy for merely sharing this cartoon.” That is not an invitation for Hatter to be murdered? What planet are you from? This is how the Islamic cult deals with blasphemy:

Quran (6:93) – “Who can be more wicked than one who invent a lie against Allah?” If the death penalty is prescribed for lesser crime, then it stands to reason that it should be imposed for the most “wicked”.

Quran (33:57) – “Lo! those who malign Allah and His messenger, Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter, and has prepared for them the doom of the disdained”

Quran (33:61) – [continues from above] “Accursed, they will be seized wherever found and slain with a (fierce) slaughter.”

I recommend that you read the original article, my original post to it, and my follow-up post at least 30 times. I believe that it will take you at least this many repetitions before just SOME of the contents begin to seep into your saponaceous consciousness. Then spend at least 3-4 days attempting to understand what was said. After you’ve done this, get back to me, and we’ll assess your progress or lack thereof.

I read your post. It was worthless bloviating and you’re operating under the illusion it was something better than that. And you continue to confound slapping someone with a criminal charge (which prosecutors do all day every day) and inciting violence against that person.

Muslim countries run the gamut from constitutional republics to pluralistic political machine states to ordinary despotisms of types you can see anywhere to sanguinary totalitarian states. The legal regimes regarding these issues varies within the taxonomy of regime types as well as between them.

          1. Hmmm, obstinate, as well as ultrasubcretineque. The two frequently go hand-in-hand. Your barren, bombastic Islamopandering merely proves that you are incapable of making even feeble progress in addressing your severely limited “capabilities.”
