Baltimore Man Accused Of Wounding 90-Year-Old Woman After She Scolded Him For Littering

Police in Baltimore are looking for this 26-year-old for attempted first-degree murder in a particularly heinous alleged crime.  Gerald Gaffney is accused of firing at a 90-year-old woman after she scolded him for throwing chicken bones on the ground. It appears that littering may not be the only offense that Gaffney is comfortable with.

If police are correct, this was a premeditated crime.  After the elderly lady told Gaffney to threw his litter in a trash can, he allegedly started to argue with her and another woman before leaving the area.  He then returned with a handgun and opened fire. Both the 90-year-old and a 56-year-old man were hit by gunfire.

Police are seeking him. He is described as 6-foot-4-inches tall and weighs 250 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.  He is also  inclined to littering.

What is interesting about this type of case is the aggravating circumstance.  Anyone willing to shoot an elderly lady for scolding him is obviously an imminent and lasting threat to society.

    1. Squeeky, obviously, this individual needs to be arrested and prosecuted for his behavior. There is no doubt about it. This isn’t about making excuses or justifications for the insane and brutal acts committed by this person. So, there. No arguments from me. He needs to be arrested. Prosecuted to the fullest extent and locked away. No excuses made for him. He needs to be off of the streets. Permanently. I just will not equate, as you seem to do, this one lunatic’s decision, to shoot up a couple of people because they argued with him over littering, with some overly broad, general description as to how all blacks act in our society. A very odd and strange jump to make. This is a unique case and uncommon crime, which is why JT even posted it. It’s as bizarre as the stories that he posts about white individuals who commit inexplicable crimes. We read those here, all of the time, yet those stories don’t, somehow, morph into attacks aimed against all whites. How all whites are degenerates. How all whites cannot coexist with others in peace. We recognize those stories for the exceptions and oddities that they are. This story falls into that category, as well. An oddity. Something easily gleaned from the pages of the Enquirer. You are far too smart for not recognizing that very simple fact.

        No. For blacks, this is NOT a unique case, nor is it an uncommon crime. Black men are about 6% of the population, and commit about 51% of the murders in the country.     He evidently was not convicted.

  4. So, what’s this mutt doing with a gun? Did he slip by a background check? Did someone buy it on the internet or at a fair and give it to him? The guy is obviously mentally unbalanced. Mental illness and/or rage is not confined to any race. The mutt should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Equally important should be the research into how this disgusting filth obtained a gun. If there is a chain of ownership and it was stolen then at the very least there should be an associated charge of negligence against the victim of the theft. Then on up from there.           Maryland has some of the strictest gun control laws in the U.S.
          And maybe Baltimore has strict laws against littering
          as well.
          Given all of this, I’d say he could not legally be in possesion of a firearm.
          There was, in his case, no “.. obligation to go around armed to the teeth”.
          You can have the strictest gun laws in the nation, you can repeal or modify the 2nd Amendment, you can pass a Constitutional Amendment making littering a federal felony.
          Not of these measures is likely to prevent an event like this.
          It’s possible that this guy doesn’t have a hell of lot of respect for the law.😏
          He may not even feel obligated to comply with the law.

      If New York City were all white, the murder rate would drop by 91 percent, the robbery rate by 81 percent, and the shootings rate by 97 percent.
      In an all­-white Chicago, murder would decline 90 percent, rape by 81 percent, and robbery by 90 percent.

  15. Depraved. An entire culture has eroded within a generation. When I grew up, “respect your elders” was a universally respected rule. And 90 year old ladies were allowed to scold you all they liked. You’d still have to carry their groceries, open doors for them, and “yes ma’am” them.

    I am so frustrated and worried about our youngest generation. I realize that such worry has been ubiquitous of one generation for the next, but there really seems to be a loss of intrinsic values and respect, essential for a society that lasts. We’ve raised rude, neurotic, self destructive emperors.
