Chipotle Worker Recognizes Customer As Man Who Allegedly Burglarized Her Home

1510490955070.jpgThis may prove the ultimate take out.  A Chipotle employee in New York was serving a man when she realized he was the same guy who broke into her apartment on May 18th with accomplices in a burglary crime.  She confronted the man who ran from the restaurant . . . after grabbing his order.

The woman was tied up with her two roommates by the burglars who were armed with a firearm.  They got away with $1,500.

The worker confronted the man (a move that is not particularly wise when the suspect was previously armed).  He was caught on surveillance and the NYPD is looking for him.

In the meantime, the worker was transferred to a different store for her protection.

The suspect in the Chipotle encounter is described as between 25 to 35 years old, African-American, and about 5-foot-6.

  1. Off topic: Lie detector tests. We have this Roy Moore guy. Let us give him a lie detector test. And the accusors. Why not?

  2. From the Fox News article:

“The suspect in the Chipotle encounter is described as between 25 to 35 years old, and about 5-foot-6. New York Police have not yet released a description of the other two suspects.”

I believe NYPD probably identified the other two suspects and do not want those two to know that fact. Given the association, it should not be long before the three alleged burglars are identified and later arrested.

    1. Wish that were true, but the NYPD does seem to have an awful lot going on. When you call them, you get a recording: press 1, if you’ve been robbed, press 2, if you’ve been assaulted . . .

  3. I’m glad the woman was not harmed in either incident.

In retrospect, it would have been better to hand the customer off to someone else, telling them to delay him. Tell him the register is slow or something. And then discretely call 911. Or walk outside, careful not to be noticed, and take down the guy’s license plate #. If this was the City then he may not have driven there, though.

That’s easy for me to say, though. I’m not experiencing the heat of the moment or shock that she must have been. It was very dangerous for her to confront a man who’d pulled a gun on her before.

Next time, stall him and call the cops. There is no need to intervene yourself unless you are defending yourself or someone else from violence.

  4. Showing a picture of the perp, and limning him “African American” and “man” tends to racially stereotype blacks, and is thus an example of White Supremacy. Calling him a “man” is sooo an example of Cissification, or whatever you call it.

He should have just been referred to as ” a person of uncertain gender and race”.

  5. The victim is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. How ’bout telling the manager you have to leave for a family emergency, discreetly following the perp till he arrives home, and then forwarding the info to the detective in charge. All she accomplished now is to name her employer for the perp to target in the future.

As for the perp: another penniless, persecuted, misunderstood, and fatherless “inner city youth,” or as HRC called, “super predator.” Actually, he did have a “father,” just not the living, breathing kind, in the form of “safety net” payments to Yowlahnzda, mother of 12 from 11 different sperm donors, plus the 3 she aborted.

Thanks, LBJ, for ridding the nation of black poverty!

I agree with you that she should have handled it differently.

However, do you know what your suggested scenario reminded me of? The Trayvon Martin case, where someone followed at a distance, on the phone with the cops, and “triggered” Trayvon Martin.

      1. Good point, with which no one can argue. In rereading my post, my idea seems not much better than hers. This kinda perp needs a wide berth. Maybe this is a better scenario:. Walk up to his table with a cloth in your hand, ask, “How you all doin’ today?,” while your face casually passes over the security camera. Then say, while pointing dead center toward the camera, “That’s funny, never noticed that before.” Immediately after the perp glances into the camera, continue with, “The manager finally installed a camera up there.” The perp looks right in to the camera, to assist with facial recognition software.

  6. What do you mean that the NYPD continues to search for the dirtbag? He was found. He’s the same guy, from the other JT article, who was seated, next to his interrogators, and repeatedly lifting one leg and farting in response to the questions being posed.

  7. With Chipotle’s history of problems pertaining to food tainted with E. Coli–a problem which sent dozens to the hospital–I sure hope that the order, grabbed by the burglar, was loaded with multiple beef tacos and burritos. The universe has a way of resolving these injustices in its own way.

    1. LOL, I was thinking the same thing! Chipotle needs to set aside some of their salmonella laced carnitas for customers such as this. An evening of explosive diarrhea would be a well deserved “desert!” HaHaHa.
