According to police, Richard Evan Kriger, 60, is still struggling with elements of legal ethics training. Kriger alleged attempted a bank holdup for $50,000. That is the amount that he owes on an ethics violation involving a trust account for his son. Before the robbery, he made an appointment to take out a $26,000 loan in unmarked bills for his nephew.
Kriger appeared in the bank wearing a fake beard, dark glasses, and a baseball cap — passing a written demand for the cash, He reportedly said that his nephew was waiting outside of the Banner Bank in Everett, Washington with a rifle. He threatened that his nephew would shoot people if he heard the alarm or if they failed to give him the money according to the HeraldNet reports. He also demanded keys to the bank manager’s vehicle and told bank employees to “Count to 500 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, 3 Mississippi etc. etc. etc. before you call police.” It didn’t work. The teller activated the silent alarm and the police descended on the bank.
Washington State bar decision suspended for two years on Dec. 15, 2014 for mismanaging the trust account and owed his son about $50,000. Notably, the bar record shows all but four months of the suspension was withheld in 2014 so Kriger could practice for the last three years. It also suggests that the offense was not treated as the most serious violation (warranting disbarment or a longer suspension).
Of course, it is never too late for such a career change. This week also saw the arrest of an 80-year-old man in Arizona for armed robbery. Robert Francis Krebs robbed the Pyramid Credit Union and would be one a relatively small number of octogenarian felons. He was arrested at a nearby motel.

Martin Luther King Day. Today is his birthday. We should discuss the people who killed him. Let us start with J. Edgar Hoover. It is interesting to Google the Cointel Program.
It is interesting that several cops and firemen who were black were pulled from the MLK protection squad by the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police also was Chief of the Fire Department. Prior to this job he worked in J. Edgar Hoover’s office (HIS office not just the bureau) for 25 years.
James Earl Ray wrote a book about the facts he knew by the time he wrote the book. It is a good thing to read and is well written. His brother wrote a book too. Several St. Louis people come out in the books. Frank Buster Wortman is one. Oliver B. Patterson is another. There are many from the mob and gov’t from St. Louis. The head of the FBI in later years was a federal appellate Judge on the 8th Circuit, last name Webster.

Your right, liberty2nd, that an article devoted to MLK would make much more sense to discuss and to honor him, but this is a Leftist blog, and Leftists could care less about MLK and what he stood for.
I have done extensive study into the assassinations of JFK, MLK, and RFK and have come to the conclusion that they are all related. When you examine these assassinations, you should not just look at the issue of who was behind the murders. You should also look at the motives–the reasons why they were targeted for termination. The two go together, of course, as all genuine investigators know.
JFK, MLK, and RFK were each murdered for essentially the same reason. They each represented powerful threats to the Military-Industrial-Complex’s plans for the Vietnam War. (The MIC is also variously known as the Deep State, the Elite Establishment, and the Invisible Government.) The MIC and its representatives in the CIA and FBI knew that JFK privately did not support the war, despite his public statements.
Many don’t this, but MLK also opposed the Vietnam War and, in fact, the mainstream media prior to MLK’s murder had taken a negative slant on MLK, since the mainstream media was (and is) an extension of the MIC. The MIC had plans to earn revenues of close to a trillion dollars, expressed in today’s dollars, from Vietnam, and someone with MLK’s influence that was opposed to their plans was a serious threat.
Regarding RFK, I’ve seen no credible evidence that he authorized any wiretaps of MLK. There are no existing sources of information that support that claim. In fact, if the claim were actually true, you can be sure that the Deep State would have release the signed authorization as part of public information disclosure so that all potential blame could be taken off their hands. But they have produced no such documentation and we only hear third hand, from unnamed individuals.
Of course, RFK acted foolishly and recklessly in seeking to run for President. He knew that the Deep State was responsible for his brother’s death, and he surely must have known that MLK was their target as well. Yet, he ran on an anti-Vietnam War platform, but failed to make a public announcement that he didn’t believe the official Warren Commission lies and intended to reopen the inquiry into his brother’s assassination. Had he gone public with his suspicions, sure, the media would have falsely branded him a conspiracy “nut,” but the act could have also made it difficult for the MIC to terminate him. Even the most jaded of the public would have become very suspicious if RFK were murdered shortly after making public statements about the MIC.
So, unwittingly, RFK played into the MIC’s hands and they were able to murder RFK in full view of many witnesses and to pin the crime on an easily hypnotized dupe. The MIC felt more safe and comfortable than ever in carrying out their murders.
The Vietnam War would continue on for 7 more years after MLK’s murder. Official US casualties were 58,220.
At least he’s consistent and apparently predictable.

Your comment about the lack of interest on the part of the Obama DOJ is absolutely correct.
There were 1,000 criminal convictions in the wake of the S&L scandals of the 1980s, and some very long prison sentences that went along with some of those convictions.
Prosecutions in the wake of the 2008-2009 meltdown were not a priority of the Obama/ Holder DOJ.
