President Donald Trump made a reference in an interview yesterday about his “highest score” on his cognitive testing. He told Reuters that former Presidents Obama, George W. Bush and Clinton failed to deal with North Korea and added “I guess they all realized they were going to have to leave it to a president that scored the highest on tests.” Trump is referring to the fact that he is the first president to agree to a cognitive test (which was a good idea and he received a perfect score). For many of us who are unfamiliar with the test, I looked into it. The test is elementary but it does have a high accuracy in detecting problems like dementia. However, for those not familiar with the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), the test details are below.
The 30-point test asks people to identify drawings of a lion and a rhinoceros or draw a simple cube. The subject may also be asked to recall a handful of words or repeat a short list of numbers. This is not an intelligence or psychological test.
Nevertheless, the Cochrane Collaboration review found that the test detected 94 percent of people with dementia.
I actually do not see why all presidents should not have basic cognitive and psychological testing with their physical exams. This test does not offer much information beyond counter-indicating such things as dementia. However, even this is much more than what was available for prior presidents.

I am SOOOOOOO happy that I live in Canada, and a proud native born Canadian ! I am very thankful that our government is stable and that our leaders aren’t ”warmongers” like Trump, Kim Jung Un and many others. I feel VERY SAFE, living here in Canada., and a big part of that is that normal citizens are not legally allowed to carry handguns, pistols, on their person, nor are any citizens legally allowed to purchase and possess Assault Rifles. To use hadguns and pistols a citizen must go to a licensed shooting range, in Ontario. Hunting Rifles must be registered with the govt,, that hunter must take courses to obtain and Hunting Licence, and are only allowed to hunt deer and moose during our hunting season in the Fall. Farmers can have shotguns or rifles, still licensed, to kill wolves and foxes that attack and kill their livestock.

Today, journalist Susan Wright at Red State described an arm of the NRA, which is not required to disclose its donors. $30 mil. was spent to support Trump, 3 times the amount that was spent for Romney. The links among Russian banker Alexander Torshin, D.C. politicians, the NRA, and Torshin’s interest to investigative bodies, are all part of Wright’s research which relies in part on McClatchy reporting.

Walmart raised its minimum wage to $11 an hour and issued bonuses up to $1,000.
Fiat Chrysler issued $2,000 bonuses and now plans to build a Ram factory near Detroit, Michigan, with production set to start in 2020.
BB&T raised its minimum wage from $12 to $15 an hour and issued $1,200 bonuses.
Southwest Airlines issued $1,000 bonuses and donated $5 million to charity.
Comcast issued $1,000 bonuses.
Fifth Third Bank raised its minimum wage to $15 an hour and issued $1,000 bonuses.
JetBlue issued $1,000 bonuses.
U.S. Bank raised its minimum wage to $15, issued $1,000 bonuses, and donated $150 million to the U.S. Bank Foundation.
Wells Fargo raised its minimum wage to $15.
At last count there are at least 162 companies who have taken these types of actions in response to the new law. But, hey, it only helped the evil rich people and corporations, right?

There are over 4,000 WalMart stores in the U.S., and about 6300 counting stores in other countries.
In that context, the closure of 63 stores is a fairly minor development.
I don’t know the details of those stores, but it’s likely that they were badly underperforming.

Assuming arguendo your statistic is somehow accurate, the proper context is missing. First, clarify what you mean by “criminal” alien. There is no such category in the DOJ database. Second, once you are able to identify what a “criminal” alien is, you need to post the per capita sex offense rate of this population; then, compare it to the per capita sex offense rate of American citizens. We both know what that statistic would reveal, don’t we? Finally, not that your word wouldn’t be trusted, but citations to authority would be necessary, of course.
