We have been discussing the identification of words as “microaggressions” on college campuses including the now suspect use of the word “mankind.” It appears that the word is moving from micro to macro aggression in Canada where a women was told by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that she should not use the word in her question to him. He is not alone in correcting such usage. Recently, a female student was given a lower grade for using “mankind” in a paper.
The woman asked the following question at a town hall:
“So, that’s why we came here today to ask you, to also look into the policies that religious charitable organizations have in our legislation so that it can also be changed because maternal love is the love that’s going to change the future of mankind.”
Trudeau immediately corrected her on the use of the word that “We like to say ‘peoplekind,’ not necessarily ‘mankind,’ because it’s more inclusive.”
Canada is moving to make the country’s national anthem gender neutral (including asking athletes at the Olympic to use the corrected language). The bill changes the second line of “O Canada” from “true patriot love, in all thy sons command” to “in all of us command.” However, even if one prefers “peoplekind” (apparently “humanity” is not sufficiently neutral), I would have thought that it was still a permissible noun and people could use mankind without a public correction or censure. Indeed, some people may have political or religious preferences for one word over another.
Trudeau however feels that people using the work mankind should be corrected publicly.
What do you think?

So the source for the SqueeKKKer’s run-on posting is FrontPage Magazine.
“The website has been described…as right-wing, far-right, Islamophobic, and anti-Islam.” -Wikipedia
Wikipedia:
“History”
“FrontPage Magazine, is a conservative journal of news and political commentary originally published under the auspices of the Center for the Study of Popular Culture,[1] later called the David Horowitz Freedom Center.
“Notable contributors have included David Horowitz (editor in chief), Paul Gottfried, John Derbyshire, Ann Coulter, Mustafa Akyol, Jamie Glazov, Robert Spencer, Bruce Thornton, Raymond Ibrahim, Kenneth Timmerman, and Stephen Miller.
“Criticism”
“In 2016, the Southern Poverty Law Center listed Horowitz and Spencer as “anti-Muslim extremists”.Spencer called the article a “hit list”.
“The website has been described by opinion pieces as right-wing, far-right, Islamophobic, and anti-Islam.”
But, hey, enjoy the drivel.
If I was the one asking the question, I would have ignored his admonition and restated the question with the word, “mankind” used again. Even if he was the President or Prime Minister of my country.
I think Mr. Trudeau’s interruption of the questioner was ill-mannered and foolish. If he chose to form his answer around the word of his choosing, then I would accept that, too. But it was completely wrong for him to (almost) demand that the questioner change the wording of her question just so his ears would not be offended.
Justin Trudeau almost makes me want to apologize for being Canadian. Almost, but not quite.
Instead, I would prefer to puke.
Whence cometh all this “peoplekind” bullsh*t??? I found part of the answer on Free Republic. If you read one article this year, this should be it:

There are other links at the Free Republic article there are worth a look.

I need a safe space.
You won’t find it on this site.
Where’s the bottom? And what’s waiting there?
Karl Marx with a whip!
I’m a Canadian.
He’s our virtue signaller in chief.
And he’s not one of our brighter bulbs.
Here in da good ole USA we have da non virtuous signaler. T rump cheats on his wife with da porno stars and assaults a bunch of others.
Trudeau had too many blows to his head from boxing in the ring ! Oh yeah !
Basically, a paternalistic man publicly censored a woman for her speech, and successfully controlled her choice of words.
Hurray for feminism in 2018! We’ve come a long way, baby!
Is “people kind” a word? Perhaps Trudeau could use a dictionary for his secular winter solstice gift this year?
Why isn’t Trudeau cross dressing in a hijab for solidarity?
LOL
LOLer!
My neighbor donned one of those V-hats, jumped in a car full of her comrades with V-hats on and drove off to the “Women’s March” and “Voices of Resistance Rally” the other day. Women sure are conflicted these days. Sometimes I wonder how God ever thought he was going to pull this man v. woman/woman v. man thing off. It’s not easy being a misogynist anymore. It’s downright dangerous. I think I’ll go incognito from here on out.
At the time of the Founding Fathers, someone wrote “all men, male and female”.
Anyway, Trudeau needs to look into the Oxford English Dictionary.
Canada (i.e. America) acting incoherently and hysterically? You ask yourselves, “How did this happen?”
Have you noticed that the American birthrate (i.e. fertility rate) is in a “death spiral”? American women don’t have babies, they have abortions and birth control.
China – 1.4 billion.
India – 1.3 billion.
Southeast Asia – 1.2 billion
American-Americans – 240 million
Countries must have growing populations to survive. Women don’t need to vote. Women need to have babies; lots of babies. Without babies/people, the vote is moot. One man, one vote democracy evolves into dictatorship. The American Founders established a restricted-vote republic. Ben Franklin, we gave you “a republic, if you can keep it.” We couldn’t. We have incoherence and hysteria throughout America (Canada). People ask, “What was the inflection point?” The 19th Amendment was adopted in 1920. It’s been communistic down-hill ever since.
Fun fact: The incoherence and hysteria of the 18th Amendment were rationally and definitively abrogated by the 21st.
Reblogged this on The Inquiring Mind and commented:
Day by day, Trudeau demonstrates why he is a shallow, posturing, self righteous, attention seeking fool unsuitable to be dogcatcher let alone Prime Minister.
Trudeau is a posturing numpty
The name “Justin Trudeau” is equally abhorrent as “mankind” because “Justin” suggests that this person is a male. Therefore, given the inherent sexist nature of his name, I suggest that he henceforth be referred to as “THX 1138.” That has a much more neutral tone, don’t you think?
It’s refreshing to hear a leader, a man at that, issuing a correction that includes women in the discussion.
He didn’t include a woman, he included a member of “personkind.” Trudeau likes to virtue signal in high definition and Dolby.
“virtue signal”
One of Nick’s favorite phrases. He’d be lost without it.
Nick aptly applies “virtue signal” in every post of his that I’ve read. Although other similar phrases might be substituted, why not use the most precise one that best captures the concept he’s conveying, which, in this instance is “virtue signal?”
Thank goodness another fan is here to defend Nick.
Nick don’t need no defendin’!

“Newspeak”
You know the end is near. It’ll probably be the final enslavement and imposition of global communism or a meteor.
Ralph and George, Thanks. That “person” is just an annoying mosquito.

I wonder how long it will be before Trudeau announces that his preferred self-definition is ‘gender neutral’ and his preferred pronoun is now “it.”
