“Matthew McConaughey” Found In Car After Breaking Into Home

1519311185953Troy Miller, 46, has a curious defense when stopped as a suspected car thief. He claimed to be actor Matthew McConaughey. The problem is two fold.  First, he looks nothing like the actor and second McConaughey is also not allowed to steal cars.

As someone who really does not like McConaughey as an actor (I am still trying to get my money back from Interstellar), I am not sure yelling “Murph” and pretending to be McConaughey is an advantage:

Miller was stopped after police came looking for a suspicious person ringing a doorbell and then walking around the house.  Actually, that does sound like McConaughey in Intersteller.

This unfolded in Georges Township, Pa. and Miller was found inside the car of the homeowner, WTAE reported.  Again, if it was a Lincoln, one could understand the effort. (though again I am not sure why McConaughery curiously falling into a pool fully dressed would make me want to buy a car, it does show the same lack of judgment exhibited by Miller).

Miller was arrested and charged with theft from a motor vehicle. He also faces charges of providing false identification to law enforcement authorities, loitering and prowling at night.

Miller was later shown on this security camera discussing his case:

  1. I can’t say that I agree with you about McConaughey, but I do agree with you that Interstellar was a disappointment. I keep waiting for another Lincoln Lawyer movie. I hope McConnell (the author) doesn’t sell those to Amazon and mess them up like he did the Bosch stories.

I wonder if at sometime in his life someone told this guy he looked like MM and he decided to see if it would work.

  2. He should have told the cop he was Rosie O’Donnell, maybe that would have worked.

    1. The Great Zambini – maybe he should have said he was Fergie and tried singing the National Anthem?

  3. A Miller’s Tale???

There once was a fellow named Troy!
And boy, oh boy, oh boy!
    He broke in a car,
    Imitating a star,
But he wasn’t the Real McCoy!
