Lewandowski Declares The Use Of His Recorded Words To Be “Fake News”

images-2Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has been dropped by his speaker’s bureau and widely denounced for his mocking of a story of a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome who was separated from her mother.  Now, after refusing to apologize, Lewandowski is denouncing the entire story (of playing his own words) to be “fake news.”

It was the Wall Street Journal that originally raised the story.

In a Fox News segment, former Clinton aide Zac Pentkana referenced the tragic story but was interrupted by Lewandowski saying “waa, waa.”

It was a heartless as it was stupid.  However, rather than simply apologize, Lewandowski dug in further. He flatly rejected the need to apologize and said that the “American people” owed an apology to people who were “killed by illegal aliens.”

He later tweeted that reports he mocked the girl’s plight was “fake news.” (He also said the policies causing children to be separated from their parents was started under Obama, a lie.)

Corey R. Lewandowski

@CLewandowski_

Lots of Fake News today. I mocked a liberal who attempted to politicize children as opposed to discussing the real issue which is fixing a broken immigration system. It’s offenseive that the MSM doesn’t want to talk about the fact these policies were started under Obama.

It was a Trumpian response but it is hard to denounce the playing of your own interview as fake news.

    1. Trump, Sessions and Nielsen have separated 2,342 immigrant children from their parents at the US-Mexico border since April of 2018 (a little over two months). In 2017 Trump, Sessions and DHS had released roughly 100,000 immigrants and their children to the civil court system pending asylum claims and deportation proceedings.

The Obama administration also released immigrant families to the civil court system. And, beginning in 2014, the Obama administration held immigrant families in family detention centers until a 2016 court decision held that the 1997 Flores consent decree had to be applied to family detention centers.

Here’s the difference: The Obama administration did not prosecute the parents of immigrant families for the misdemeanor offense of crossing the border illegally. But Trump and Session began prosecuting the parents of immigrant families for the misdemeanor offense of having crossed the border illegally in April of 2018. Since then Trump, Sessions and Nielsen have separated 2,342 immigrant children from their parents.

As such, your supposed factoid . . . Jeh Joohnson admits Obama did it . . . is too vague even to qualify as a distortion. Once the vagueness of the “it” to which you’d have believe Jeh Johnson “admits” is properly spelled out as a difference in the use of “prosecutorial discretion” between the Trump versus Obama administrations, the supposed factoid is magically revealed as just another stinking lie from Onceler.

      1. The Obama administration did not prosecute the parents of immigrant families for the misdemeanor offense of crossing the border illegally.

Because they do not disapprove of such activity. Controlling illegal immigration disrupts the Democratic Party vote farm.

  1. All I see on this site is defending the defensible with any thing Trump. The lies and the crap will catch up with them sooner or later. How many of my fellow Americans would put up with anybody that lies and gets caught day after day and still stick up for them?

      1. Are you saying that this President is NOT a proven and pathological lair?

        1. Yes and Im saying you’ve provided no evidence to the contrary only your unlettered opinions for which I have no regard. Facts, on the other hand, are always welcome.

            1. this site is always so uplifting, edifying and solidly rigorous.

  2. HEARTLESS TRUMPER SCOTT PRUITT HAS AN EMAIL ISSUE

INVESTIGATION SHOWS HE ONLY SENT ‘ONE’!

An examination of Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt’s government email accounts has uncovered only one message he wrote to anyone outside EPA during his first 10 months in office — a number that has watchdogs questioning whether he is communicating in private.

EPA says Pruitt mainly holds discussions in person or over the phone, which would explain the meager electronic trail for his external communications. But Pruitt’s critics remain suspicious — especially in light of all the steps the agency has taken to conceal his activities, from refusing to release his meeting calendars to installing a $43,000 soundproof booth in his office.

Oversight groups said it seems implausible that someone as active as Pruitt, who meets frequently with political and industry allies, would have sent only a single email to someone outside EPA. Agency records also include evidence that Pruitt has used text messages at least once to set up a meeting with an Oklahoma lawyer.

“The emails, if they exist, could show what these people want and then those emails could be compared to what the EPA does,” said Melanie Sloan, a senior adviser at the watchdog group American Oversight. “Americans should know what the EPA is doing, why it’s doing it and who’s influencing those decisions.”
American Oversight also expressed doubts that EPA has reviewed all of Pruitt’s communications, as the law requires. Government officials can legally use private email accounts, but agencies are supposed to search those accounts when fulfilling public records requests.

      1. no one checks your links or sources

It has been established no one takes you seriously on these forums save the usual nutcases

  3. What about a down syndrome child who’s parents get divorced? What about a down syndrome baby that is aborted because the parents don’t want it? The ignorant Right is ceding the moral high ground to the hypocritical Left.

  4. Well if you’re the parent of a child with down syndrome, and you commit a crime, you are separated from the child with down syndrome.

If you would like to claim that certain parents have not committed a “real” crime, then say that. Say you want open borders. But parents who commit crimes are separated from their children.

It happens every day in this country.

    1. What? No.

Committing a crime will not get your children taken away from you. Children are only taken if a presiding judge has been presented with significant and substantial evidence that leaving the child with their parents would put the child in immediate danger.

      1. Well what do you mean by “taken away?” As a citizen, you don’t even need to commit a crime. You just have to be arrested and unable to make bail. And since the Supreme Court, in its infinite wisdom, says a “speedy trial” is anything less than a year, with the prosecution permitted any number of extensions, what exactly do you think happens to children of someone arrested, but not convicted, during that time?

        1. If the parent of any child in America is arrested for a misdemeanor offense, then is that child also held in detention, transferred to HHS for further detention and eventually placed with a sponsor for either permanent detention or foster care or “whatever,” as Gen. Kelly dismissively said???

You do see the difference, Stevej. Don’t you?

BTW, crossing the border illegally is a misdemeanor offense. Trump and Sessions have prosecutorial discretion. There’s no law requiring Trump, Sessions and Nielsen to prosecute the parents of immigrant children for the misdemeanor offense of crossing the border illegally. Trump, Sessions and Nielsen are choosing to do so as a matter of “policy” in keeping with prosecutorial discretion. This travesty is being done deliberately, intentionally on purpose with malice aforethought.

          1. What difference do you see between child services taking over when a parent is incarcerated and a detention center when a parent is detained? You ever been involved in child services?

Also, I was not aware that prosecutorial discretion meant completely ignoring the law as “a matter of policy.”

            1. Does child services take custody of every last child one of whose parents was arrested for a misdemeanor offense?

I’m asking because you had previously asserted that “. . . you commit a crime, you are separated from the child . . . It happens every day in this country.”

How many moves of the goal posts can one false equivalency perform?

              1. Well come now. The equivalency in this instance would involve a single parent household, or a situation where both parents are arrested. You’ve never heard of these kinds of situations?

  5. ” It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled ” Mark Twain.

  6. Typical tRump supporter. He refuses to take responsibility for his words and actions. Sessions is doing the same thing: he denied that “child separation” meant separating children from their parents.
    Snowflakes one and all.

    Et al:

For those with free time to research the OIG report further, that I do not at this time, here are a few starting points:

    1. The FBI’s 302 report, a after action report, as a joke?, page 302 of the OIG report, something about the Piss NYP/NYFBI guys that DCFBI is doing nothing with the criminal evidence of HrottenC’s emails & their Pedo connections.

    2. Around 292-294, more detail related stuff to the Clinton’s ongoing child trafficking.

    3. p 153, something about the 600000 emails & child trafficking.

    4. Not sure what I wrote a few nights back but p. 96 is noted.

    5. I don’t recall, but p. 89, exhibit 71 was very interesting.

    6. p. 420-421

If one digs the OIG report isn’t just a whitewash it’s part of a road map to criminal indictments of some leadership in the FBI,DOJ, Mueller & company, etc……

  8. “Brazen Plot To Exonerate Clinton’ Starting To Seep Out” Daily Caller Interviews Joe DiGenova
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82_kdySxB3U

Read the comments—all sorts of people recognize this as a Coup. Joe DiGenova does a tremendous job of laying it all out. It was an Admiral to went to Candidate Trump to say FBI was spying on him. It is this Admiral that saved Trump and this is why Trump moved his campaign HQ to another.

    1. Judicial Watch has just reported that a McCain Staffer advised the IRS to audit every Tea Party org in order to drive them away from getting their 501c3 status!
In the full notes of an April 30 meeting, McCain’s high-ranking staffer Kerner recommends harassing non-profit groups until they are unable to continue operating. Kerner tells Lerner, Steve Miller, Nikole Flax, then chief of staff to IRS commissioner, and other IRS officials, “Maybe the solution is to audit so many that it is financially ruinous.” In response, Lerner responded that “it is her job to oversee it all:”

Henry Kerner asked how to get to the abuse of organizations claiming section 501 (c)(4) but designed to be primarily political. Lois Lerner said the system works, but not in real time. Henry Kerner noted that these organizations don’t disclose donors. Lois Lerner said that if they don’t meet the requirements, we can come in and revoke, but it doesn’t happen in a timely manner. Nan Marks said if the concern is that organizations engaging in this activity don’t disclose donors, then the system doesn’t work. Henry Kerner said that maybe the solution is to audit so many that it is financially ruinous. Nikole noted that we have budget constraints. Elise Bean suggested using the list of organizations that made independent expenditures. Lois Lerner said that it is her job to oversee it all, not just political campaign activity.
Currently now Henry Kerner IS employed by the Trump Administration!!!!

McCain called out the leak of this as fake way-back-then. NOW, we learn that he DID advise the IRS to audit Tea Party groups!!

Corruption? We can’t trust anybody—especially those that are on our supposed side. McCain is despicable! The Republican Party is just as despicable. The Corruption is overwhelming and ubiquitous. We have senator staff members engaging in corruption!!! Hurting their citizens!

If it wasn’t for Judicial Watch, none of this would have been exposed!!!!!

    1. Never met a criminal yet who didn’t rationalize his action as something forced by somebody else. Glad to see the trend still holds true for migrants.

  9. I question your probity, Prof. Turley with your sham articles. The sham articles on your website belay your standing as some sort of upright commentator on the gravity of legal issues in America. You are talking about Lewindowski mocking a 10 year old.

What and HOW does that compare to what is going on in IG Report?

Really, you are out of touch.

Here is a Youtube vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCNhEwEK40Y and the title of it is Congress Exposes FBI Coup Against Trump. The word here is “Coup”.

Here is another. Back in Feb 2018, these people uploaded an article titled “We People make 28 Counts of Treason” against the FBI and DOJ: https://aim4truth.org/2018/02/18/we-the-people-make-official-charges-of-28-counts-of-treason/ Read that article. What they post is horrendous.

Read the comments on YouTube and at Breitbart. People are mad as heck. They are seeing something outrageous and alarming—and you are talking about Lewindowski?

Your judgement, sense of gravitas, sense of duty and YOUR RESPONSIBILITY as an Officer of the Court to instruct, teach and motivate on Serious crimes by Government agencies is totally lacking and nonsensical.

Do you have an Virtus, Prof. Turley. It is becoming very clear to many, many of us that we are witnessing a Coup-de-etat by our government bureaucracies, FBI, DOJ, DIA, CIA, to remove President Trump!

We are witnessing a coup—And You go nonchalantly. La-de-da. Wow, Prof Turley. This is all a game to you isn’t? I’m a former Marine who took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the US—and I see an officer of the court—who holds a prestigious chair, has clout and influence—and you’re twiddling your fingers.

In times of danger, great men arise to help the Republic. You sir, are missing in action.

    1. Haha! He said “Breitbart” as if it was anything other than the punchline to a joke. Pro tip: reddit is down the hall; none of our resident wingnuts are silly enough to cite to that wackjob, paranoid-conspiracy website. It looks good on you though, Thanks for playing and drive home safely.

this is to “treason I say, TREASON!” wheelman

      1. Yea, Mark M. that is exactly what the FBI agents said in their texts—-while they gave Clinton a pass—and attacked, threw the book at Trump and his associates.

There are Two Americas now. America is a failed state. It has no society. It doesn’t train anybody in Virtue and itself has NO virtue. Hatred is the name of the game today. You belittle your fellow citizens and discount what they have to say. Joe DiGenova is speaking about Facts. And you dismiss them. There is no amity anymore. There is nothing holding America together. It is gone. How can one have a state when more than half of the population and the state itself commit all forms Treason against itself and its citizens!

You attack Breitbart. Well, I have watched NBC, CBS, ABC, New York Times, my local news. They AREN’T reporting anything!

I watched Watergate on TV as a Kid. It was 10 min of Watergate this, Watergate that. Watergate. Watergate. Watergate. What has happened with Hillary email scandal, with Trump SpyGate, is that the Press doesn’t care. Their and yours show a clear lack of Duty to Justice and Citizenship. It’s over. America is a Failed State. Liberals are setting up a Totalitarian state that enforces their ideology of utopianism, idealism, and transformation and they don’t care about the Rule of Law. No Rule of Law—all we have is an ochlocracy in America and that is exactly what this Illegal Child thing exhibited—Mob Rule of Womynish.

We are being genocided by our own Government, by our Churches, by all our own institutions of every stripe. Ethnic Dilution thru immigration of large amounts of people. Open Borders is Soft Genocide. Our own Government is conducting Genocide against its own ethnic Majority! Many Forms of Genocide: Hard and Soft https://www.academia.edu/34936383/ The Liberal Mafia has just conducted a coup against a legitimately elected President. The Democrat Party is socially engineering the demographics of this country to have a permanent voting majority of Low IQ foreigners and disenfranchising us Anglo-Saxons—and we have a country? Mob Rule for the Dissolution of this country! Wow. America is a Failed State.

        1. Wlindaywheeler:

You’ve aptly identified the trend, but it’s too early to call America a “failed state.”Given your service in the Navy, I assume you still know how to defend the country. We might have to. Get to the shooting range. I’m going today with my ever-so-evil AR-15. Let freedom loudly report.

          1. Agreed. Getting a little weary of the alarmists writing op-eds proclaiming America lost. We have problems, yes, but we will be just fine. You with that mentality have all bought into the narrative of a small but very wealthy and vocal group of progressives (call them a cabal if you like). They really aren’t fooling most of us.

Regarding the piece, these people, on both sides, truly must grow on the stupid tree. This doesn’t help anyone, and makes it very difficult for creedence to be lent where it is warranted, as it is with this particular issue.

The headline on that screen grab is a riot, too. Good luck suing Trump for a pre-existing law, Cuomo. Very sad what has happened to our major metropolitans.

            1. The real problem is the total lack of Virtue. Virtue, Manliness, Righteousness, Sophrusyne (untranslatable into English), Prudence, is a Habit. It must be taught at a young age—and habitualized. That is NOWHERE in America. Not even the Churches do that. All our institutions are converged with Political Correctness. 39% of our colleges and universities do not have a single conservative in their academic teaching positions–and certainly not in their Administrations. America is Marxist. “Racism is evil” is a Masonic/Marxist agitprop term. It is ubiquitous even amongst so-called “conservatives”. America is Marxist. Our military is PeeCee cultural.

With the convergence of Marxism throughout our culture, add to that Demographics. Demographics is destiny. It is race displacement. The Destiny of Demographics. Cultural Marxism throughout.

Van Jones was right. Trump is the Whitelash. The last gasp. The problem is the Colleges–and nothing is changing there. It is not. History is not on our side. Generalismo Franco won the Spanish Civil War—and at his death—Spain became a Leftist hellhole.

The Future of America is Venezuela. California is already Venezuela. And it is moving across this country.

              1. “The real problem is the total lack of Virtue. Virtue, Manliness, Righteousness, Sophrusyne (untranslatable into English), Prudence, is a Habit. It must be taught at a young age—and habitualized. That is NOWHERE in America.” — Whiplashwheeler

Don’t forget the Precious Bodily Fluids.

                1. Gravitas R. Lien is also Virtue that you completely miss. See, Nature abhors a vacuum. Either one has Virtue–or one has Vice. Either one is Virtuous—or one is a Reprobate. There is no middle ground. And if you understand the Greek word “Arete” where the Latin Virtus comes from, it implies Totality. One must have ALL the Virtues or you have no Arete. If there is no training in Virtue—then there is training in Vice. The existence of the Coup itself is the sign of Vice, of Reprobateness. The Press not engaging in the story and actually by their not covering it, they are concealing it is a sign of Vice.

No Republic can exist without Virtue. Law only exists on the Bed of Virtue. Virtue comes First—then Law. One must have the Character first for the Rule of Law to exist.

I can already tell you that America is a Failed State because no one, and I mean no one upheld the Natural Born Citizen clause in regards to Obama, Rubio and Cruz. Just as in Virtue, one must have all the Virtues, the whole Constitution must be followed—or none of it is. The Natural Born Citizen clause means that BOTH parents have to be American citizens. I don’t need no stinkin’ birth certificate. Obama’s father was a Commie Kenyan with a British Passport. He is NOT a Natural Born Citizen. Never was. Is the Constitution obeyed? NO! If the Constitution is not obeyed in the little–it is NOT obeyed in the Greater. America is a Failed State because the Constitution is not being upheld at all! The Republican Party’s Response of the Natural Born Citizen Clause: Cowardice, Hypocrisy and Perfidy 5th Rev.

Venezuela here we come, back from where we started from. You have NO idea on how to run a Republic.

                  1. You’ve obviously thought long and hard on these issues; your progression of argument is crystal clear.

Now maybe you should get the kids off of your lawn.

                  2. Another point to make as America is a Failed State. When America passed the 1965 Immigration Act—it decided to genocide its own ethnic majority and the behest of a very small and vocal minority of America.

Prof. Turley works at a Catholic University and he has had to hear the phrase “The Common Good”. He must also run into that any law that undermines the Common Good is not a legitimate law. That the US Government passed a law attacking itself–a law designed to break up the homogeneity of America and import people from around the world is Treason. The 1965 Immigration Act was a law of Treason and Genocide. Genocide by ethnic Dilution. The 1965 Immigration Act literally destroys the ethnic majority of this country. Did it show duty to the forbearers that built this country and future generations? No.

America is a Failed State because of the 1965 Immigration Act; its failure to uphold the Natural Born Citizen clause of the Constitution; it has just suffered a soft coup-de-etat by many, many high State functionaries to remove a President showcasing the total lack of Virtue; and its imprudent self-defeating ideas of the Enlightenment; And when Andrew Jackson gave the vote to every man; and given the vote to women.

And when it is allowed that the Frankfurt School, a school of Marxists, to set up shop at American Universities in their so-called “Institutes of Social Research”—well, it is pretty much gone. Free Speech has undermined any ability to circumvent subversion. How a state can not protect itself from subversion then becomes a joke.

                    1. Marky Mark Mark – you never answered if you actually watched the entire film of Dr. Stranglove, or just saw clips.

  10. So under this “legal” analysis regarding the “interrupting dinners”; those who sat at “white’s only” counters who weren’t white are also considered “braying wolves”?

  11. Well, maybe you should look into the issue of the Trump admin’s immigration “policy” a little closer, Professor. You don’t want to be caught on the wrong side of history.

    1. “Professor. You don’t want to be caught on the wrong side of history.”
      ****************
Oh no! Not the dreaded wrong side of history argument. So rational, so utterly devastating and so keen,y sophomoric as to be laughable. No one knows what history will say, and as if any one of us will be around to care. Refute the argument about Trump merely vindicating laws Obama refused to enforce or join the rest of the baying wolves interrupting people’s Mexican dinners on K Street.

      1. Guess you missed the part about looking into the Trump admin’s immigration “policy.” Spoiler alert: It’s lacking. And Melania’s jacket doesn’t change it. Turley should consider the real issues: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/21/opinion/trump-immigration-reform.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=opinion-c-col-left-region&region=opinion-c-col-left-region&WT.nav=opinion-c-col-left-region
I’d ask you to do the same, but I know your mind is closed.

        1. hollywood – I don’t think an opinion piece by the NYT is something I would take to the bank. It certainly is not “facts”.

          1. So take it to the bank. Mr. Stephens is a bona fide conservative, you dolt.

            1. hollywood – there are no bona fide conservatives anymore working for left-wing newspapers. And no conservative would ever work for the NYT. That would be a cino. Conservative in name only.

              1. Ross Douthat is a bona fide conservative and Megan McArdle is certainly non-liberal.

Some years ago someone did a study of prominent journalists to discover who they follow on Twitter. It turns out they follow each other. Big f***ing surprise. There was one exception. At the New York Times, the study discovered only about 10% of their sample who were employed there followed the only starboard columnist the paper employs.

Stephens is, of course, a poseur, as is Jennifer Rubin. They’re professional class twits whose lodestar is a certain sort of cosmopolitanism. Because they’re not addled by the usual conceits and obsessions you see in newsrooms and on college faculties (and, recall, very few people were in 1979 when Rubin was in high school and Stephens was learning to read), you can market them as ‘conservatives’. I’d say the same of Max Boot but it appears he’s now subscribing to the conceits and obsessions.

        2. Hollywood:

I suppose you’re one of of the doltish 3 in 4 Americans that have no idea that facts differ from opinions. The NYT has opinions and like the old saw says, we know what they’re like and they all stink.

Here are the facts: crossing into the US at nondesignated areas is a crime. A misdemeanor on the first strike and a felony thereafter. People who do this with their kids are are criminals subject to arrest and detention. The previous Administration deemed enforcement of this law to mean you catch them, issue a summons and then release them into the interior after making them promise to return for the hearing. 90% never did. The current Administration believes in enforcement. It detains suspected criminals as every court in the land allows. This means if both parents are criminals as most matriculating migrants are, they are both detained. About 2000 kids, who are stuck with their criminal procreators, aren’t subject to arrest but have to be detained for no more than 20 days before going to a sponsor. They can’t go to adult jails for obvious reasons. This has occurred many times over the past 20 years. It also happens in every court in the land when both parents are charged.

The Left never gave a hoot about kids (or enforcing immigration laws) until now when it’s a political football appealing emotionally to sentimental dolts who care less about good policy and more about “feeling good about themselves.”

Readers Guide: Only the first, second and last sentences are opinions.

          1. Mark,
When the Left argues that Child Protective Services (CPS) should not separate children from their parents, then we’ll know they are acting on principles (idiotic principles) and not just playing politics.

        1. Hollywood:
Cutting and pasting is for kindergarteners. Come on! Earn those Soros pieces of silver.

          Readers Guide: All opinions.

          1. mespo, you fail to see there’s a difference between debate and insults. Debate is about facts and opinions. Insults are what you and Trump do. Go play in the street. Or massage your warm AR-15.

            1. There is no law requiring Ernie The Keebler Elf to prosecute the parents of immigrant children for the misdemeanor offense of crossing the border illegally. It is a particular sort of choice known as prosecutorial discretion. The Supreme Court of the United States has repeatedly upheld the principle of prosecutorial discretion. Trump, Sessions and Nielsen are enforcing a “political policy” with malice aforethought.
