FBI Fires Peter Strzok

peter-strzok-and-lisa-pageControversial FBI official Peter Strzok has been fired by the FBI — joining former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe in the ignoble distinction of being terminated by an agency that rarely jettisons its own.  The firing creates an obvious dissonant element to the Democratic defense of Strzok as someone unfairly hounded by the Republicans. The terminations of McCabe and Strzok are based on the view of officials who viewed their conduct as unacceptable and, in McCabe’s case, potentially criminal.

:

One notable controversy was raised by Strzok attorney Aitan Goelman, who maintained that Deputy Director David Bowdich “overruled” the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility to remove him. The suggestion is that career officials did not view Strzok’s conduct as warranting such action.

Strzok was with the FBI for 21 years.  It did not take time for Trump to tweet out the news:

Strzok was removed from the special counsel probe last year after the discovery that his incendiary text messages with FBI lawyer, who had an affair with Strzok.

I am interested in the basis for Strzok’s attorney claiming that  the deputy director “reversed the decision of the career FBI official responsible for employee discipline who concluded, through an independent review process, that a 60-day suspension and demotion from supervisory duties was the appropriate punishment.”  There should be some explanation from Goelman as to whether that is true and, if so, the basis for such a reversal.  Generally, the recommendation of the OPR carries considerable weight in such matters. However, the ultimate decisions rests with officials like Goelman on whether the findings warrant more serious sanctions.

  1. Why are Democrats sounding crazier and crazier? This is part of the answer. Democrats have stopped thinking and have become irrational. They don’t know who they are any longer. Some can’t even recognize JFK.

Democrats More Positive About Socialism Than Capitalism

    August 13, 2018
WASHINGTON, D.C. — For the first time in Gallup’s measurement over the past decade, Democrats have a more positive image of socialism than they do of capitalism.

    1. DEMOCRAT – PRESIDENT WILLIAM J. CLINTON

Report: Journalist Found Dead After Investigating Bill Clinton Sex Crimes

“The body of investigative journalist Jen Moore was found in her Washington D.C. hotel room on Monday after her investigation into an alleged sexual assault by President William J. Clinton.

“In fact, just four weeks before her death, Moore filed details of the alleged victim’s claims with the Department of Homeland Security, detailing the allegations against Clinton. Moore contacted Homeland Security beginning on July 6th through July 9th, records show. A week later, she contacted the FBI with identical details about the victim and the shocking allegations against Clinton,” reported True Pundit on Tuesday.”

    2. Why should that confuse you, Allen??

The same force that brought Trump to power is driving socialism. Remember The Great Recession? It made a big impression on a lot of people.

An entire generation came of age as capitalism seemed to implode. Every Millennial had family or friends affected by the recession. It was a traumatic event to millions regardless of politics.

It didn’t help that Republicans fought Obamacare with scorched earth-tactics. To Millennials it looked like Republicans honestly didn’t want them to ‘have’ healthcare. It looked like Republicans only cared about tax cuts for billionaires.

Now you can go round & round and say that Obamacare was impractical. ‘It was making insurance more expensive!’. It doesn’t matter! In the minds of Millennials one of the major parties didn’t care about people.

Obama looked like a sucker trying to keep private healthcare intact. Health Insurers were receptive to Obamacare; more business for them!

Yet Obama was labeled a ‘fascist’ and a ‘communist’ for implementing an idea that began at The Heritage Institute. An idea Newt Gingrich promoted at one time.

So the lesson Millennials and liberals learned was, “Don’t bother compromising like Obama did. If they’re going to call you a ‘socialist’ than go socialist! Bernie Sanders made that sound cool.

Personally I think it’s sad. Obamacare could have worked had Republicans just cooperated. We might well have gotten socialized medicine on the cheap while largely preserving the private healthcare system.

      1. “Why should that confuse you, Allen??”

Confusion? If your lies and innuendo haven’t confused me why would your fantasy with socialism confuse me? You don’t even know what JFK stood for and he is an icon of your party. Millenials choosing socialism is understandable, not because of the recession, rather because of what these young people have been taught in the schools

        1. Like The Great Recession didn’t matter..?? It’s an ‘education problem’..?? ‘Too many liberal teachers’..??

Allan, this is what I talking about on Sunday; right-wing media promotes simple narratives. That’s a simple narrative; ‘too many liberal teachers’!

Like kids would surely see the value in free markets if only more professors were owned by the Koch Bros! Allan that’s ridiculous!

After The Great Recession kids are totally suspicious of that free-market nonsense. Quotes from Ronald Reagan mean nothing to Millennials. They never knew Reagan.

As I noted Trump’s rise to power was almost completely due to The Great Recession. England’s Brexit lurch was recession inspired. To millions of people it seemed like global capitalism created more losers than winners.

That’s why Trump keeps talking tariffs. Trump supporters, and even many leftists, feel that globalism was rigged against them. That’s not necessarily my view. But globalism is out of fashion now in many places.

          1. “Like The Great Recession didn’t matter..?? It’s an ‘education problem’..?? ‘Too many liberal teachers’..??”

The recession made worse by Obama highlights the cyclical nature of capitalism. Venezuela highlights what socialism provides. Education is partially at fault but so are a lot of other things including the lack of personal responsibility. Remember, but for certain dumb government policies, the recession may not even have occurred.

“Allan, this is what I talking about on Sunday; right-wing media promotes simple narratives. That’s a simple narrative; ‘too many liberal teachers’!”

No, conservatives, especially those on this list, understand the complexity of economics and its simplicity at the same time. You don’t understand it so you make up stories about it. This country became the strongest in the world economically and militarily not because of your economics but because of the economics conservatives are supposed to follow.

You don’t discuss any of these things or even follow logical thought patterns. You become silent the second any knowledge is required. The rest of your response is simplistic. Trump’s immigration stance was probably his strongest argument for the largest number of voters. They all see what you don’t. Democrats have been pushing open borders that affect those that do not live elite lives. Combine that with the fact that Hillary is a crook and one has a potential win which would seem impossible. There are other factors that were involved including Trump’s tax policies, name recognition etc. We shouldn’t exclude his energy.

Democrats have moved further left though you deny it. I provided a summary comparing Trump to Kennedy and despite your supposed knowledge, you were unable to respond to it and demonstrate it to be wrong. Your two responses to it were shallow and ludicrous based on the overly simplistic answers you were hand fed by the Liberal media. I will repost what I said about Kennedy and give you a chance to up your game.

          2. We were talking about history and history involves long timelines. 50 years is enough time to see how the Democratic Party has moved further toward the left and to also demonstrate how the Republican Party as a whole has moved in that direction as well.

Look at the stance taken by JFK on all the major issues:

Taxes: Both Kennedy and Trump markedly reduced personal and business taxes. Both believed the way to raise revenues was to increase business activities by reducing taxes. Both relied on growth. Today the Democratic Party has repudiated conservative economic policies that worked in JFK’s time and are working today. Neither JFK nor Trump sold America short. JFK believed every dollar taxed was one dollar less for growth.

            Foreign policy:

JFK was naive when he first came to office and could have started WW3 but he was strong against Russia and had a relatively strong foreign policy. Like Trump, he recognized America’s strength and its leadership position. He didn’t bow to foreign despots something Trump would never do.

            Immigration:

Like most Democratic leaders he didn’t push for open borders. Even Chuck Schumer called for border control prior to Obama’s Presidency. Trump believes like Kennedy that a nation has borders that must be controlled.

            Space

Kennedy pushed exploration and pushed us to catch up to the Soviets. Trump is calling for a space force.

            Peter, learn your history.

  2. Another article written by Paul Blest, when fired FBI deputy director Andy McCabe went begging for money, just like Strzok is doing now, summed it up perfectly when the author asked this question of the people actually giving him money: “What’s wrong with you people?”

    https://splinternews.com/andrew-mccabe-does-not-need-your-money-1824195062

Just like fired and disgraced agent McCabe, fired and disgraced agent Strzok can afford to pay his own legal bills and “living expenses”.

So I would ask the same thing to every idiot donating to Strzok’s disgusting GoFundMe campaign: What’s wrong with you people?

    1. T Bob,…
My young next door neighbor from c.2007-2012 was always outside on his cell phone or laptop….looked and sounded like he was doing tech support.
When he left, he went to work for the FBI.
If he’s smart, he’ll forget about the pension plan, get his ass fired, and rake in the gofundme $$$$.

  3. Strzok’s “I’m a victim” GoFundMe “charity” campaign to “help him pay his legal bills and living expenses” has now totalled over $355k!! of mostly small dollar donations – and this is just donations he’s receieved ‘so far,’ as he is keeping the charity campaign OPEN — and I have to say that this is so disgusting to me that I can’t let it go without commenting further.

He started with a goal of $150k, then upped it to $350k, and now has it listed at a goal of $500k!!!

Recall that disgraced former FBI deputy director, Andy McCabe, who was also fired for cause, and in his case, referred for criminal prosecution – did the same exact thing and it disgusted me then as well.

Journalist Glenn Greenwald, wrote at the time about McCabe’s disgusting GoFundMe page:

“[A] charity campaign fueled by a multi-millionaire cable news host,(Rachel Maddow advertised this for McCabe to her list of millions of followers) for the benefit of a rich federal police official, is not just bizarre but obscene. If one wants to protest the tragic plight of Andrew McCabe, there are many ways to do that aside from encouraging people to donate money to his legal battles.

For anyone who works with people who are actually suffering and deprived, or who falls into the huge category of humans who experience that suffering and deprivation, or who lacks legal representation because of poverty, or who has been victimized by the FBI’s abuses and lawlessness, watching this public campaign direct a tidal wave of money to someone like McCabe is really nothing short of nauseating.”

    https://theintercept.com/2018/03/31/the-500000-gofundme-charity-campaign-for-wealthy-ex-fbi-official-andrew-mccabe-is-obscene/

Did you get that? Greenwald said, to ask the public to help them pay their bills is, “not just bizarre, but obscene” and “nothing short of nauseating.”

I could not agree more. And now we can all watch again in disgust as disgraced fired special agent Strzok is obscenely raking it in just like his buddy, Andy McCabe.

The two of them remind me of the two biggest grifters of all: Hillary and Bill Clinton.

    1. Most likely such contributions represent the groundswell of real American patriots who are able to see the danger to the Republic that you, your ilk, gullible rubes, dupes, klan-wannabees and pocket traitors have enabled. You see, real, authentic American patriots don’t subscribe to moral equivalency, but can recognize right from wrong, that character matters, that all men are created equal and that no man is above the law. Fortunately for you, when we real, authentic American patriots correct the grievous con you and your fellow travelers fell for, your types will get to come along for the ride, although your shame will never abate. You’re welcome.

this is to “oh, ya, I never thought of it like that” t-hot bob

      1. Marky Mark Mark – maybe it is coming from former Hillary voters as a thank you for protecting their candidate.

        1. If only Trump could ever prove that Hillary lost the 2016 election deliberately and intentionally for the express purpose sticking Trump with both Presidency and the Russia investigation, when all Trump ever really wanted was a Trump Tower Moscow, then Trump might finally be able to fulfill the promise he made to each and every last one you Trump Troupers, “Crooked H, lock her up.”

          1. L4Yoga enables both David Benson and Marky Mark Mark – If I were Hillary I do not think I would be measuring new drapes. I would be watching Orange is the New Black so I could learn how my new world was going to look like.

          2. “If only Trump could ever prove that Hillary lost the 2016 election deliberately and intentionally for the express purpose sticking Trump with both Presidency and the Russia investigation, when all Trump ever really wanted was a Trump Tower Moscow”

They ban Alex Jones (who I find a bit crazy), yet this loon continues to post.

      2. Yeah I never thought of it like that. You say these idiotic contributions represent a groundswell of real American patriots who can recognize right from wrong and see that character matters?

        Holy crap, man.

It’s an example of screwy brainwashed thinking that goes something more like:

“We know he’s a disgraced corrupt fired FBI agent who can well afford to pay his own bills, but hey, Trump hates him, so I’m gonna donate ‘to the cause’ because that makes me feel good to, uh, you know, help this slimeball pay his bills, yeah! and maybe even buy him a new house, yeah! and pay for his retirement, yeah!

And all because I hate Trump, too. Yeah! Resist! Here’s my credit card number. This is Grassroots activism, man. I’m feeling really empowered and a part of something that makes me feel good. I really showed Trump how much I hate him, yeah! Resist!”

And then agent Strzok is over there raking in the cash laughing to himself, “Suckers.”

So hey, if it makes YOU feel like “a real American patriot” to get scammed into paying the bills for a corrupt, unethical, disgraced, demoted, fired FBI agent…have at it buddy.

        1. You have it right Bob. What these idiots are saying to all the public servants is we will have your back as long as you attack people we don’t like. It’s an ends justify the means philosophy which is the antithesis of an American patriot.

          1. More likely the fact that authentic American patriots believe that justice prevails over criminality, and good trumps evil.

this is to “okay, I admit it, I’m a day glo bozoist” olly

  4. “Are you going to show his face? I am afraid Rosenstein will have him offed. He is BC protector.”

Someone please tell me this is not true – these allegations that Bill Clinton assaulted a young boy; that another investigative journalist has been assassinated just prior to publication of a story on the Clintons.

    https://truepundit.com/investigative-journalist-found-dead-in-d-c-hotel-room-weeks-after-reporting-bill-clinton-to-fbi-dhs-for-allegedly-raping-boy/

    1. Yeah, I was able to sell that crap in the 19th Century because there were NO REGULATIONS. Hopefully Trump will get us back there.

    2. Hopefully, like the typical “snake oil salesman,” Mr. Shill will be out of town before sunrise.

Barring that glorious event, I move that Mr. Shill be “barred for life” pursuant to his “incivility” as deliberately abrasive “malicious ad hominem trolling.”

Mr. Shill’s behavior presents as NPD.

      To wit,

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that’s vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial affairs. People with narcissistic personality disorder may be generally unhappy and disappointed when they’re not given the special favors or admiration they believe they deserve. They may find their relationships unfulfilling, and others may not enjoy being around them.

Treatment for narcissistic personality disorder centers around talk therapy (psychotherapy).

      Symptoms
Signs and symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder and the severity of symptoms vary. People with the disorder can:

Have an exaggerated sense of self-importance
Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration
Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
      Exaggerate achievements and talents
Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
Believe they are superior and can only associate with equally special people
Monopolize conversations and belittle or look down on people they perceive as inferior
Expect special favors and unquestioning compliance with their expectations
Take advantage of others to get what they want
Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others
Be envious of others and believe others envy them
Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious
Insist on having the best of everything — for instance, the best car or office
At the same time, people with narcissistic personality disorder have trouble handling anything they perceive as criticism, and they can:
Become impatient or angry when they don’t receive special treatment
Have significant interpersonal problems and easily feel slighted
React with rage or contempt and try to belittle the other person to make themselves appear superior
Have difficulty regulating emotions and behavior
Experience major problems dealing with stress and adapting to change
Feel depressed and moody because they fall short of perfection
Have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, vulnerability and humiliation

      ***When to see a doctor***

People with narcissistic personality disorder may not want to think that anything could be wrong, so they may be unlikely to seek treatment. If they do seek treatment, it’s more likely to be for symptoms of depression, drug or alcohol use, or another mental health problem. But perceived insults to self-esteem may make it difficult to accept and follow through with treatment.

If you recognize aspects of your personality that are common to narcissistic personality disorder or you’re feeling overwhelmed by sadness, consider reaching out to a trusted doctor or mental health provider. Getting the right treatment can help make your life more rewarding and enjoyable.

      *** Emphasis

      1. George, all those character traits have been noted in Donald Trump. In fact, so many journalists have linked Trump to those traits that his disorder is almost regarded as fact.

        1. The only trait that is being proven on an almost daily basis is Trump Derangement syndrome. Leftists are seeing their psychiatrists and psychologists for treatment because they have become irrational. One can’t tell for sure what psychiatric diagnosis you carry but I’ll bet that pathological lying and behavior disorder would both be at the top of the list.

        2. That was a major problem in 1964 when the psychiatrists remotely “diagnosed” Barry Goldwater.
Today, “many journalists”😕😏 are far more qualified to do the diagnoses.

      2. Excellent. The looniest toon here by a long shot is so far off the deep end that he feels competent to comment on anything more critical than why they took his shoestrings away at the facility. Don’t worry though, they’ll provide shoes that have velcro fasteners.

this is to “who took my applesauce!” georgie

        1. Marky Mark Mark – you are clearly in the running for “looniest loon” although there are a small group of other loons in the competition, your impeccable credentials have always kept you at or near the top of the list. What I have noticed is the camaraderie between you and the other loons. It must be true that birds of a feather stick together.

          1. Don’t conflate camaraderie with competition. I will never allow Mark M. to beat me on my own turf–lunacy. He has to stay on his own turf–lampooning. And then we can comrades in quills.

            1. L4Yoga enables both David Benson and Marky Mark Mark – different loons do different things doesn’t mean they can’t swim together. Of the loons, you are the best writer.

    3. Squeeky….you did a great job! I don’t have a clue how to do tech. stuff

“…all four justices abused their authority.”

The SCOTUS abuses its authority on a daily basis. It is long past time for Congress to impeach all Supreme Court Justices that have “legislated from the bench” and not supported the “manifest tenor” of the Constitution.

Without this, all the reservations of particular rights or privileges would amount to nothing … To deny this would be to affirm … that men acting by virtue of powers may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid.”
