Trump Tweets Image Accusing His Own Deputy Attorney General and Others Of Treason

In a highly disturbing and inappropriate tweet, President Donald Trump retweeted an image that accused his own deputy attorney general, Rod Rosenstein, of treason as well as special counsel Robert Mueller, former FBI Director James Comey, former national intelligence director James Clapper, Bill and Hillary Clinton and others. The image is accompanied with the question “Now that Russia collusion is a proven lie, when do the trials for treason begin?”  Such an image and question, even made in jest, would be deeply insulting and below the office of the presidency.  The President has previously called the media “the enemy of the people” and used equally intolerant language toward judges.  Regardless of how one feels about the Special Counsel investigation or the role of some of these people, people of good faith must speak out against such attacks on the character of these individuals.  I have been a critic of some actions in this investigation and specifically Rosenstein’s conflict of interest, but I would never question their loyalty to this nation.

The image of the Deputy Attorney General behind bars must be deeply insulting for a man who has spent the entirety of his professional life as a public servant — and ironically was appointed to his office by President Trump.  Likewise, I have been critical of aspects of Mueller’s selection but the use of treason in the context of this Marine veteran and lifelong public servant is neither funny nor fair.  There has to be some basic level of civility and responsibility in this debate.  There are legitimate objections to raise but this level of personal insult and incrimination has no place in our public discourse.

  1. Prof. Turley—You’re lost in space! What an idiot. Don’t you listen to Mad-Joe-Scarborough—It’s all for “The Cause”.

Where do you live, Prof? Under a Rock? America is dead and gone! The Libs and the Marxists, don’t give one rat’s patouty about your stinkin’ constitution. DWEM. It’s over. “Loyalty to this nation”—you got to be kiddin’! You don’t live in reality Prof. Turley. Amerika is a three-ring-circus of degradation and vulgarity.

Again, “nation” is from the Latin meaning “One Birth”. America now, since the 1965 Immigration Act is the Tower of Babel—NOT a Nation. You don’t even know the meaning of the words you speak, Prof—and you have a Ph,D? And you don’t know the stinkin’ meaning of the word “nation”!

All of you stinkin’ academics are idiotes.

  2. Most of the people in that picture have committed crimes worse the alleged crime of “collusion” that has been used to stalk the Trump Administration ab initio.

  3. And here’s how I see it. I see Trump as having contempt for the corruption in DC. Contempt for the corruption he knows went on inside the Obama admin as they worked to derail and destroy his campaign and now his presidency — all while protecting Hillary Clinton and her allies and aides from prosecution.

I see Trump’s contempt for the corrupt media who ran cover for and protected Obama and who still, to this day, run around carrying pooper scoopers to clean up after their hero, Barack Obama – who they will never call out or question, even as he still, today, spews lies and utter garbage out his mouth. And these same corrupt media shills will just make sh*t up all day long in their efforts to damage and destroy Trump…and his family. And let’s not forget that *all* Trump supporters are now labeled as ignorant “racists.”

So yes, I’ll take Trump’s messy and indecorous ways of defending himself and the country he clearly loves so much over the contempt Barack Obama showed for this nation…and for law enforcement, for the military, for the rule of law, the Constitution, gun owners, Fox News viewers, talk radio listeners, Christians, Jews/Israel, Republicans, conservatives, bitter clingers, coal miners, deplorables, entrepreneurs/business owners who “didn’t build that”….and for basically anyone who didn’t see the world as they should — that is: according to Obama.

And yet they still wonder why Trump won?

    1. Barack HUSSEIN Obama was the greatest President of the United States and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces since Harry Truman. Moreover, prior to his marriage, he undoubtedly had “access” to the white women.

this is to “BUT KENYA!” t-hott bobbie

      1. This dribble was brought to you by Media Matters funded by George Soros

This is to “In Muller I sux and swallow” Marky M

      2. ha wow not even close Mark M you’re just trolling again now with a different weird sexual reference. it’s always some kind of puerile sexual remarks with mark m. such as when he repeatedly said “I watch hannity and bag his balls”

the obsession with double meanings between golf and sex recalls a creepy character from the funny film Caddyshack

        https://youtu.be/Gf3QIkQRGtI?t=57

talks a lot about “pro tips” too

      3. hey Mark M – I never mentioned Kenya.

My comments referred to the contempt I believe Barack Obama has for this country. Why else would he fly around the world apologizing for America and trash-talking the country that just put him in the White House?

I referred to the contempt Obama has shown for people who do not share his views or stroke his ego.

I referred to the contempt both Obama and Hillary Clinton have shown for more than half the citizens of this country.

I prefer a president who loves this country without doubt — and all of its citizens. And one who strives to put our best interests first — just as he asks other countries to do, as well.

And for supporting Trump? The corrupt media lemmings have labeled me “a racist.” And I resent it like hell. I share Trump’s contempt for the corrupt media. I share Trump’s contempt for the corrupt political establishment. I share Trump’s contempt for what Obama and his minions, including Hillary, did to try to fix the election to take out Trump. Why aren’t these people being prosecuted and sent to prison?

And I resent it like hell that the Democrats and the media have done everything they can think of to undermine our democracy and to discredit and destroy our duly elected president since that glorious day in November 2016 that we all learned Hillary Clinton woud never ever be president.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it in your mommy’s basement where we all know you live.

        1. Haha. Excellent. You actually prefer a president who you think will keep the dusky types in line, because you are a timid, frightened, ill-informed, intolerant, bigoted, gullible rube who can’t understand why the “good ‘ole days” can’t be relived. Unfortunately for you and your ilk composed of other gullible rubes, dupes, klan wannabees, pocket-traitors and grifters on the make, your hero, the day glo bozo, is such an imbecile and incompetently criminogenic that he can’t even pull off a conspiracy without f*cking it up. Since that is the case, keep a running total of the other grifters who’ve latched onto this debacle of a criminal cabal as they enter their guilty pleas, and ask yourself: “What is that ticking sound?” Pro tip: hannity has a good idea but he’s not letting you types on on it.

this is to “oh, the DOJ has the answer, right?” t-hott bobbie

      4. The NPC Marky Mark Mark runs the Obama had white women script forgetting that Obama is half-white, with an all-white mother.

        1. PC Schulte,…
And when he recycles that bit about “white women”, etc., it’s every bit as funny 😒the 100th time he used it as it was when he first used it.
As are the other cut and paste crap he repeats and repeats and repeats and repeats.
Marky Troll has said that he’s here on this thread just for his own entertainment; he is easily entertained.

          1. I assure that EVERY time I type that, I am smiling because I know how you types abhor the idea and can’t stand such a thought to the point where it “gets under your craw” or some such other podunk homily. Thanks for playing.

this is to “the world was a better place when miscegenation was against the law” tommie

            1. Whatever satisfaction and entertainment Marky Troll might get from working so hard at being an ******* must be worth it to him.
Probably gives him a degree of status with his Junior High School buddies.
Too bad an anonymous pig like him gets his jollies that way, but low-life trash like MarkyTroll probably can’t help himself.

        2. PC Schulte,…
How long has that piece of **** been “entertaining himself” here?

      5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8V6SokexKqQ

Larry Sinclair stated that Obama smoked crack cocaine, had homosexual relations with him and implied that Obama had homosexual relations with a “Donald Young” who was murdered on Dec. 23, 2007, and was the openly gay choir director for Reverend Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ. Is this true? Did CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, PMSNBC, HLN or other outlets of the MSM report this? Why has America not heard this news? Why was the photo of Obama enjoying a visit with Louis Farrakhan not displayed in the MSM?

      6. Barack Obama will NEVER be eligible for the office of President.

Barack Obama’s father was a foreign citizen at the time of his birth.

        – A “citizen” could only have been President at the time of the adoption of the Constitution – not after.

        – The U.S. Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5, requires the President to be a “natural born citizen,” which, by definition in the Law of Nations, requires “parents who are citizens” at the time of birth of the candidate and must be “…born of a father who is a citizen;…”

        – Ben Franklin thanked Charles Dumas for copies of the Law of Nations which “…has been continually in the hands of the members of our Congress, now sitting,…”

        – The Jay/Washington letter of July, 1787, raised the presidential
requirement from citizen to “natural born citizen” to place a “strong
check” against foreign allegiances by the commander-in-chief.

        – Every American President before Obama had two parents who were American citizens.

        – The Constitution is not a dictionary and does not define words as a dictionary, while the Law of Nations,1758, did.

        Law of Nations, Vattel, 1758
        Book 1, Ch. 19

        § 212. Citizens and natives.
“The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes to its own preservation; and it is presumed, as matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children; and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see whether, on their coming to the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”
        ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ben Franklin letter December 9, 1775, thanking Charles Dumas for 3 copies of the Law of Nations:

“…I am much obliged by the kind present you have made us of your edition of Vattel. It came to us in good season, when the circumstances of a rising state make it necessary frequently to consult the law of nations. Accordingly that copy, which I kept, (after depositing one in our own public library here, and sending the other to the College of Massachusetts Bay, as you directed,) has been continually in the hands of the members of our Congress, now sitting, who are much pleased with your notes and preface, and have entertained a high and just esteem for their author…”

        1. Ditto Comrade Kamala Harris, whose claim to fame is Willie Brown.

          ‘Poontronage’: When Kamala Met Willie
          By Lloyd Billingsley| April 21st, 2018

“As speaker of the California State Assembly from 1980 to 1995, Willie Brown was by far the Golden State’s most powerful shot-caller. In 1994 Brown, 60, met Kamala Harris, a full 30 years his junior, and she became “the Speaker’s new steady,” Brown’s “girlfriend” and “frequent companion.” The two-year relationship worked out well for Harris.”

        2. IE: Dreams of My Real Father:

Frank Marshall Davis was the retard Trash Obama’s dad, a porn king & his mother was a CIA paid whore that Davis made movies of, according to the book’s author.

    2. Wonderful! Now I can write less. Your entry is a “ditto”. I don’t recognize a few but I think I know who they are. Trump has shown us the “sleaze” of the media. Is there nothing else going on in the world. He was a private citizen until he took the oath for his office. He was functioning in the private sector. I don’t care about anything prior to the Presidency. Attacking Melania about everything she wears; the decorations in the White House; anything she does. The media have always shown respect for our First Lady, but not Melania. As I’ve watched Congress the last two years I understand why nothing gets done. They might spend an hour or two on the nation’s business. But mostly they find microphones and talk. President Trump spends his day working to get this country on track. I hope he gets re-elected in 2020.

  4. Turley wrote: “I have been a critic of some actions in this investigation and specifically Rosenstein’s conflict of interest, but I would never question their loyalty to this nation.”
    ————————-
Do you question Trump’s “loyalty to this nation”? Because I sure don’t. It’s crystal clear to me that Trump loves this country. The man is working for free – in service to the American people’s interests while fighting against the culture of corruption in DC –and the media complex. And he’s exposing it for all to see.

Do you think Rosenstein knowingly signed a false FISA warrant and lied to the FISC? Do you question whether Mueller is also a conflicted, corrupt insider running a corrupt investigation, and covering up for his buddy James Comey, among others? Nothing to see there, folks? They are all loyal, honest, upstanding civil servants? Really? People don’t rise to positions of power in DC without knowing how to play the game.

    1. Awesome! Exhibit A for the “gullible rube” category. Please continue posting materials just like this.

this is to “ya, he might be a traitor, but the ruskies keep the duskies under control, too” t-hott bobbie

        1. PCS,

          Maybe you need more oxygen.

Your NPC script is becoming self-illuminating; a recursive joke for all but you.

So sad! Such a brilliance you once thought you brought is defeated by your own words.

Like a man pissing up a rope you degrade yourself.

  5. It’s a mistake to take the President literally, because he is a habitual exaggerator.

I’ve been arguing for two years that an objective assessment of the 2016 campaign points to a conspiracy theory which Mrs. Clinton voiced after the DNC Wikileaks hack disrupted the start of the DNC Convention. When told that Russians were the hackers, she speculated “Trump has to be somehow involved”. This paranoid overreaction to the breach of DNC privacy (e.g., plans to derail Sanders) grew and spread into a “Manchurian candidate” narrative used by Democrats and their media allies, and taken up seriously by the USG national security sector (Brennan, Harry Reid, Andy McCabe, Peter Strzok, Bill Priestup, Lisa Page, and others TBD.)

I don’t fault the intel sector for feeling pangs of responsibility to prevent or derail a true Manchurian candidate owing secret allegiance to a foreign adversary from winning the Presidency….that’s their job. However, this type of interference in the domestic electoral process by the national police would have to be approached with a “null hypothesis” bias. That is, any investigation would have be start with a willingness to gladly accept a finding of no collusion, and this requires staffing any investigation with apolitical pros who understand the delicacy of the situation.

The Page-Strzok emails reveal a decided lack of professional neutrality, with their plot to work with “Andy” on erecting an “insurance policy”.

Objectively, there were attempts by Russian state actors and non-state actors to interfere in the election, and to curry an inside track in the Trump campaign. The latter never developed into anything approaching reciprocal collusion. Rather, the attempts were rejected.

The President is frustrated over the slowness of the process in levying accountability for the counter-Trump intel effort dubbed Crossfire Hurricane, covertly begun by Brennan. I share the President’s frustration, but am confident that the truth will come out at some point about who did what, and who covered up for it.

  6. Prof. Turley wishes to build and maintain a reputation for being priggish and humorless.

  7. Why does Turley keep twisting his pearls over Trump? Isn’t Trump absolutely, for sure, certain to be impeached very soon?

  8. There is a legal definition of treason and this isn’t it. That said, these people have absolutely betrayed our nation. Many of them have committed war crimes such as torture and wars of aggression Trump is as much a part of that group as they are.

These are people who wipe their butts w/our Constitution. They are owed no respect by any citizen of the US. They have gotten our own people killed and tortured by knowingly lying and participating in wars of aggression. They have killed so many people around the world that I have lost count. Murderers and torturers deserve no respect. They belong on trial in a court of law.

What Trump is doing is playing his part for the deep state. He riles his base. The other minions of the deep state rile their people. We the people need to see through the BS and demand justice be served by a trial for each of these evil, horrible people. No Respect! No Murder Groupies. Just justice.

  9. I seem to recall it takes a act of war approved by congress and signed by a President before such a charge can be made. But what I do see is a move to get rid of the last bad choice in that department in preparation for the senates investigation and recommendations. So far they are the only ones doing so with the Representatives out of the picture and Meuller never in the picture.

  10. I have been a critic of some actions in this investigation and specifically Rosenstein’s conflict of interest, but I would never question their loyalty to this nation.

Turley, your I have…buts ring hollow. Wasn’t Benedict Arnold also loyal to this nation, until he wasn’t? Question their loyalty? WTF! Are you afraid if you do that your access to cocktail parties, talk shows, conferences, etc. will suddenly plummet? These people entrusted to serve our government have the same human nature as you and I. They are not special people that deserve less scrutiny. It’s precisely because of their positions that they deserve more scrutiny. What we don’t need are self-serving legal experts pandering to the political class. We need the unvarnished truth about their actions regardless of what position they hold, what party they are in, and certainly regardless of the blow back because you were principled enough to speak out with evidence.

All this talk about a constitutional crisis and you’re worried about decorum. Well screw decorum too, because boot-licking the political class has done nothing but put them in a legal standing above the law. It’s time for this to end.

    1. Benedict Arnold was a loyal subject of the Crown. He should never be smeared even though he was an antagonist of the early United States.

In point of fact all our founding fathers were disloyal subjects of the lawful authority, the Crown.

So “treason” has always had a perplexing context in America.

America’s very existence makes the point of every revolution: it’s only treason if you lose.

Trump’s making the same point, and good for him for having the brass to say so. He’s off the reservation all right! we WANT Trump to be a wrecking ball! The Swamp deserves insults and whole lot more!

      1. By “wrecking ball” your referring to “traitor” right?

this is to “I can learn russian, maybe” kurtzie

  11. I don’t like any of this but let’s cut to the chase and acknowledge WHO started the rhetorical war against others – the Liberals. For 40 years, conservatives have been called evil racists, sexists, misogenists, Nazi’s, etc. Check out the commentary on CNN and MSNBC for the last 2 years to see the despicable approach. Watch the MSM and SNL. This leftist nastiness includes the Top Dems – Hilary’s Deplorable comment; Obama’s hatred of those who hunt and pray; Michelle’s un-patriotism until her husband was elected; Mueller calling Flynn a felon; the recent derogatory remarks against white men; liberals saying white women are stupid and vote against their interest (FYI – I’M a white woman who knows a lot more than those idiot celebs!) slurs against GWB and Sarah Palin and Romney Now that it’s coming back at them, liberals are frustrated. Well, if you can dish it out, start being able to take it too!

    1. I regret to inform you, sir, that when one is convicted of a “felony”one thereby becomes a “felon.” Flynn has been found guilty of a “felony” and is therefore a “felon.” So sorry for your disability and loss.

this is to “oh, but hannity must have left that part out” sbg

  12. Regarding these comments – or at least most of them – Turley has the knack of bringing out the wingnuts. It’s like visiting a freak show: entertaining and scary at the same time.

    1. Good call from one who is likely a satisfied and well ensconced member of the “deep state” – taker not maker.

I’ll bet King George referred to George Washington and his boys as “wingnuts.”
