Poll: 64 Percent Of Voters Believe Trump Committed Crimes Before Office

Almost two-thirds of registered voters think President Donald Trump committed crimes before becoming president — a truly staggering figure that shows that Trump may have damaged his critics but has done little to improve his own standing. According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday, nearly half of voters — 45% — think Trump committed crimes while serving as President. Nevertheless, as previously reported, Trump still holds overwhelming support among Republicans and a 46 percent favorability response.

The polls continue to show a mixed response to Michael Cohen with now roughly half believing him. However, voters seem to have a hardened view of Trump’s own criminality. According to the poll, 44% of registered voters thought Cohen told the truth during his testimony. Some 36% believe that he lied, which corresponds to Trump’s unmoving base.

  1. Well, I believe that Hillary Clinton committed crimes before she ran for President also. So what does that give us? The most deplorable pair of candidates for President in United States history. And my choice of the word “deplorable” was not done for its significance to that election; it was consistent with the most common use of the word.

Many have said that Hillary wasn’t prosecuted because our nation does not prosecute the losers of political elections. But what does that say about the winners?

  2. Whatever comments Donald Trump has made, we all KNOW that he has no hate in his heart. I know this. I know what is in his heart. President Trump harbors no hate in his heart.

How can I say this? Because this is the excuse every single Democrat says in support of “one of their own” whenver THEY make hateful, bigoted, racist slurs and comments. THEY are ALWAYS given the benefit of the doubt with that statement. So I’ll make that same argument. I know, they know, we all know, that whatever President Trump says, or how he says it, in whatever way or context, WE KNOW he does NOT have HATE in his heart. HE gets the same presumption of innocence and benefit of the doubt that ALL Democrats give themselves and their own.

IF the Democrats can assume this stance, and get away with it, so can we all.

  3. The problem with this Quinnipiac University Poll is that it’s not a competent, reliable, or believable poll because the people running these polls are so blinded by their partisan politics that the truth and Quinnipiac are more often than not strangers. Readers should recall that shortly before the presidential election, Quinnipiac’s poll put Democratic presidential nominee Clinton at 51% and Trump, the Republican nominee, at 41% in a head-to-head matchup. “We are starting to hear the faint rumblings of a Hillary Clinton landslide as her 10-point lead is further proof that Donald Trump is in a downward spiral as the clock ticks,” Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said at the time the poll was released.

    1. Dude, that quote was from August 25, before Comey and Wiki Leaks. With 3 candidates, the lead was 7 points.

      1. You can make whatever excuses you want, but doesn’t change the fact that Quinnipiac University pollsters were wrong. They are blinded by their partisan politics in the same way that you attempting to rationalize their polling failures. The point is that any pollster that says something like “[Clinton’s] 10-point lead is further proof that Donald Trump is in a downward spiral as the clock ticks” is revealing his/her bias, not objectivity.

        1. Yes, their prediction before Wiki-Leaks and Comey and 2+ months before the election of 7 points didn’t hold up. Hillary only won by 2 points.

Your post misrepresents the facts and does not prove your point.

  4. If the democrats start impeachment proceedings against Trump they better be successful. If President Trump beats an impeachment suite I can just imagine how he’ll react.
