I recently wrote about the announcement by Democratic presidential candidate Eric Swalwell that he would only consider women for vice president — refusing to consider a man regardless of his credentials for the second highest position in the country. Now Swalwell has publicly lamented that the United States Constitutional does not have a single reference to “women” as an “unacceptable” exclusion of women. Swalwell appears to have dismissed the fact that “men” is also absent to the document which refers to “people” and “person.” Sometimes it is as hard to find a noun in a constitution as it is a breakout issue in an election.
On Tuesday, Swalwell tweeted: “Do you know how many times the word ‘Woman’ is mentioned in the Constitution? Zero.”

By the way, other terms are not mentioned in the Constitution but are still part of the Constitution including the “separation of church and state” and “privacy.” Another thing not mentioned? “Political party” which (given this latest controversy) may have been the wisest omission of all.
The only way this candidate will gain notice is to have his face placed on milk cartons.

Unfortunately, I don’t know what is going on in your case that is causing the problems. It is a WordPress issue and not specific to this blog. You might try searching for the answer on the WordPress help forums. https://en.support.wordpress.com/ but most of the help out there is geared toward site owners and creators.

There’s no shortage of reasons given for Hillary’s defeat.
Tom, lots of excellent reasons, but Anon wishes to focus on one that was like a raindrop to her campaign while a down pour to Trump yet Trump won. Why? Hillary was a lousy candidate.
Anon also fancies the Republicans ‘stole’ a Supreme Court seat from Obama by declining to confirm his nominee.

The notion Obama was entitled to the seat is not a ‘fact’.
If one assumes the senate should and will perform it’s constitutional duties, it is a fact. I agree that is no longer a safe or even likely assumption as the bar has been lowered and now all can skip across it regardless of party.
