Pelosi Under Fire As “The Revolution” Devours Its Own

Below is my column in The Hill newspaper on the rising tensions between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and young freshman members, particularly Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders has criticized Pelosi for being “too hard” on Ocasio-Cortez, saying that she and her young colleagues are the future of the party. Other have supported Ocasio-Cortez in saying that Pelosi has a problem with women of color and liberal groups are now going after Pelosi. In the meantime, Democratic members and staff are attacking both Ocasio-Cortez and her top aide, including criticism them for criticizing another member who is a minority woman. Note only did Trump succeed in unifying the Democrats and putting the Republicans on defense, but newspapers are now declaring him the “bigot in chief.”

Here is the column:

This week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) discovered the greatest peril of unleashing a revolution: The transformation from revolutionary to reactionary is always just one political cycle away.

Pelosi began the week throwing Molotov sound bites at President Donald Trump, including the allegation that what he really wants is “to make America white again.” It was only the latest example of Democrats ramping up racial rhetoric for the 2020 elections. By week’s end, it was Pelosi who was being labeled as a racist after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) accused her of “explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.” Worse yet for Pelosi, it was Trump who came to her defense, chastising Ocasio-Cortez for disrespecting Pelosi and insisting that the Speaker is not a racist.

In the meantime, Ocasio-Cortez has continued to be supported by groups such asOur Revolution and has described herself as a new “American revolutionary” to forge a government truly based on the people.

This is why French journalist Jacques Mallet du Pan famously observed during the French Revolution that “like Saturn, the Revolution devours its children.” Many of Ocasio-Cortez’s supporters already have attacked former Vice President Joe Biden, the party’s presidential front-runner, on race-based issues, from his opposition to school busing as a U.S. senator to his work with segregationists in the Senate. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) fueled such attacks in the last Democratic debate.

The Democratic Party has long relied on identity politics to balkanize the voter base and appeal to each group to oppose Republicans. Race, however, has always been carefully handled to avoid inflaming public sentiment. That restraint has been lost in the “age of rage” known as the Trump administration. From the outset, Democrats have portrayed Trump as pandering to white nationalists and racists with his controversial Charlottesville comments and his immigration policies. Even Trump’s signature symbol — the MAGA (Make America Great Again) hat — has been denounced as racist and “triggering.” Numerous Trump supporters have been attacked for wearing the hats.

Last week, Gonzaga University School of Law visiting law professor Jeffrey Omari wrote a column in the ABA Journal that offered an almost breathless account of his encounter with raw racism in his class: a student wearing a MAGA hat. Omari states matter of factly that the hats are meant to advance “racial antagonism” as “an undeniable symbol of white supremacy and hatred toward certain nonwhite groups.”He recounted the moment with the same sense of danger as if the student was wearing a live cougar on his head: “As my blood boiled inwardly, outwardly I remained calm.”Yet, he not only concluded that “this student was indeed trying to intimidate and/or racially antagonize me” but that “I understood that my lack of tenure, precarious status as a [visiting professor] and the hue of my skin meant that I would be fighting an uphill battle should I have asked the student to remove his distracting red hat during class.”

Of course, it would have been an “uphill battle” to ask for the removal of just that hat unless he asked for the removal of all hats and clothing of all political viewpoints, from pro-antifa to pro-choice to pro-NRA.

Omari assumed that his interpretation of the hat (which is not shared by many) was manifestly true. This is part of the trend on today’s campuses, where speech is being curtailed as racist or “microaggressive” based on how it is perceived by others rather than how it is intended. In this case, the hat has different meanings to different people. Yet it was deemed racist because Omari considered it to be racist.

Omari survived his harrowing encounter, and Gonzaga University School of Law issued a meaningless, cowering statement that “this situation presents an opportunity for our community to listen to and learn from each other.” The faculty, however, failed to note what should be learned from “this situation,” particularly about free speech on campus. Instead, they avoided taking a stand on the right of political expression. If other campuses are any example, they will soon find themselves facing insatiable demands for greater and greater speech regulation.

Such refusals to take responsibility on campus has resulted in schools yielding control to students who have shut down classes and speakers with impunity.

Democratic members of Congress are doing the same with their party as they seek to use radical movements to their advantage while struggling to maintain control. It is Ocasio-Cortez — not Pelosi — who is being courted by candidates such as Sens. Harris, Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who also have courted young socialists. Ocasio-Cortez has rejected the “middle ground” of Democratic candidates on issues such as climate change, and candidates are moving to “join the revolution.” Of course, the French revolutionaries eventually suffered the same fate as the aristocrats, including the infamous Robespierre, who found both his political and physical stature cut short by the guillotine.

That evolution already has started, with young House members portraying Pelosi as an all-devouring Saturn. Ocasio-Cortez has accused Pelosi of burying her in committee work to keep her from agitating or advocating in public. Other members such as Rep. Wm. Lacy Clay (D-Mo.) called Ocasio-Cortez “juvenile” and said her “ignorance is beyond belief.” Clay added that she and other young members need “maturing” and accused them of lacking “sensitivity to racism.” Another Democratic source called Ocasio-Cortez “a fraud” as attacks mount from leadership. In January, when “mature” Democrats objected to Ocasio-Cortez’s demeanor — including her dancing videos — fellow freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) said, “If we can’t dance it’s not our revolution.”

In the end, burying “Les Enfants” in work may not be enough to keep them from dancing or agitating — at least if Greek mythology is any measure. The Titan Cronus (whom the Romans denoted as Saturn) was afraid his offspring would overthrow him. Accordingly, as each child was born, he ate them. Cronus’s wife hid her child Zeus (or Jupiter to the Romans) while feeding Cronus a large stone wrapped in swaddling clothes. Zeus grew up, overthrew Cronus, and forced him to regurgitate his siblings, who in turn defeated the Titans and threw them into the pit of Tartarus.

The pit of Tartarus, in this case, may be the 2020 elections. Pelosi has previously lost the House majority but has repeatedly refused to yield power. Moreover, the Democratic leadership has changed very little despite successive elections showing an overwhelming dislike for the establishment. Instead, Pelosi has hoped to absorb the revolution. Yet as Cronus vividly shows, devouring revolutionaries is rarely successful. They have a habit of, well, coming back up.

If Pelosi cannot devour the revolution, she could well be devoured by it. She’s no racist — but such distinctions mean little in this revolutionary moment.

  1. The gang of four are the enema of the party. Once the Dem Party does its poop and gets off the pot it will not gain voters. The poop will be today. The event last night was a disgrace to the human race. Four itchBays from Buchenwald.

  2. The last time the Democratic Party really had an extrinsic “revolution” (instead of a stage-managed coronation of someone like Barack Obama who was willing to do what his banker backers told him) before Bernie Sanders was when Senator Eugene McCarthy (D-MN) surfed a wave of support by American youth into the 1968 Democratic National Convention.

Unfortunately, McCarthy’s backers weren’t as sporting at losing to the Democratic machine as Sanders voters were, and the Days of Rage turned into Cronos eating his children (after they’d been beaten into a pureé by the Chicago Police Department). McCarthy was much more inspiring than Sanders, but lost every one of his five tries for the Presidency. The media preferred the much more malleable Jimmy Carter, and since then the media have picked out who the Democrats would run for the Presidency with their unique ability to frame narratives to the public.

Unfortunately for the Democratic Party, the media decided that Hillary Clinton was unbeatable in 2016, even though early on in that race, she called a good quarter of the electorate a “basket of deplorables” to court a segment of the electorate she would have had in any case. Then, by her absence during the final weeks of the election, she told voters in swing districts that they weren’t worth even a whistle-stop. So she lost to Donald Trump.

It’s highly uncertain that, even with Hollywood miracles like CGI, the media can add a shiny chrome finish to any of the greasy stools running for the Democratic nomination for the Presidency in 2020. The Democratic front-runner, Joe Biden, is long past his prime, and even in his prime his appeal was a complete inability to distract from the lustrous finish the press created for Barack Obama, their thighs a-tingle. And he’s the most electable of the lot.

No, Donald Trump can only beat himself in 2020. If he forgot how to use Twitter, he could assure his re-election. But that’s not who he is. It’s going to be interesting to see whether or not Trump beats himself in 2020. No one else in the race can.

  3. The vast majority of these comments are in agreement about these 4, they are selfishly pushing an emotional agenda. Facts and statistics be damned. There are a couple of notable trolls among us: Anon2? or whatever, and Natacha? Wtf? Who spells like that? Those two are just recycling the old Charlottesville misrepresentation again and of course…Russia!!! Good grief.
To everyone else, you’re correct. Don’t let the Presidents tweets worry you, he figured out long ago: people sometimes wish he would cool it with the tweets, but it doesn’t change anything. As long as he doesn’t literally put his foot in his mouth. He rarely does, he comes close, but rarely does. The news “long cycle” is about 8 days, if it hasn’t blown up by then, it won’t blow up, ratings rule.
Immigration is going to decide the 2020 election and every one of the candidates is now committed to the wrong side of it. It’ll be nearly impossible for any of them to change their stance now. It will be a blood bath. So prepare for another 5 years of tweets and prosperity! Yay America!

  4. “Instead, Pelosi has hoped to absorb the revolution. Yet as Cronus vividly shows, devouring revolutionaries is rarely successful. They have a habit of, well, coming back up.”

    In other words, they’re pukes.

  5. Whether a stroke of luck or genius Trump has pushed Pelosi into having to defend her worst in-house political enemies and thus positioning her party even more to the Left. Omar and AOC have combined favorables of 30%. It’s Trump in a walk in 2020.

  6. Now Pelosi knows what Robespierre felt like when they positioned his neck in the lunette.

    1. mespo727272 says: July 15, 2019 at 7:44 PM
“Now Pelosi knows what Robespierre felt like when they positioned his neck in the lunette.”

Said by someone who hasn’t stared death in the face, one might guess.

  7. The democrat party has started a movement that it has lost complete and total control over.

    1. For what?…….winning an election? For Hillary being so despicable that people voted for Trump?Sanders would have won and easily.

We wouldn’t even have Trump if not for Hillary Clinton

The media pushed Trump 24/7 and gave him 6 billion in free airtime

People liked Trump because he was an affront to all the hypocrisy in both parties who have done nothing for working people.

Instead of trying to win people back with policies that would help them democrats instead call them racist and bigots and ignorant and do nothing for working people.

Democrats even started another Cold War with Russia based on lies and propaganda and zero evidence.

And they think Trump is dangerous?

Already half of Muellers lies have been exposed

What happens when the truth about the DNC emails were leaked not hacked gets exposed?

Who do you think people will blame for bringing us closer to nuclear war than during the Cuban missle crisis?

      Trump?

      1. Emma, you;re delusional. Hillary won the vote against both Trump and Bernie. However much they liked her, they liked those 2 less.

        1. And yet she’s standing around with Huma and Chelsea stirring the caldron.

        2. Hillary won the vote against both Trump and Bernie

In your TDS psychosis life is bearable but according to the US Constitution which you loathe, Shillary lost biggly. Some intelligent attorney that one is when she didn’t follow the mother of all legal documents!

Hillary rode Bill’s sem@n stained coattails from Arkansas to DC while tossing rape victims overboard. Heckuva legacy

          🤪

      2. Emma – it is concerning how many Democrats do not understand that Trump won the election, or the purpose of the Electoral College.

Hillary won the popular vote based on a few high density districts. She lost the election. Trump won the electoral vote, and thereby the election, by winning the overwhelming majority of districts across America. He appealed to a Americans across the country, while Hillary appealed to the coastal elites. If you look at the district math, it is an overwhelming swath of red. Hillary won the coast, but Trump won America. Nothing drives home the fact that Hillary did not connect with most of America than that overwhelmingly red map. It’s not the President of NY and CA. It’s the President of the United States and most of those states did not vote for Hillary Clinton. People who cannot accept this need to take a civics class.

As an example of why we have the Electoral College, there has been an uproar in rural counties across CA. Los Angeles County released a sustainability plan that would prohibit building, development, and probably renovation on any property in a high fire zone. That means everywhere except the city, as the entire state is a fire zone. People would not be able to put up a barn or a stall on their property. Rural people, especially horse owners, are extremely upset about this across CA. Our deep blue state could enact this measure in every county. It amounts to an unjust land seizure. People would be stuck with land they couldn’t use, and couldn’t sell. You can’t have horses in the city, or any room, or outdoor activities. It is a means to force people to live in the city, just like “road diets” created gridlock to try to force people to take mass transit.

Rural people do not have the votes to be self determinative. They are at the mercy of people in the cities of CA, who don’t understand and could care less what the rural people want or need. Rural areas are the dumping grounds for the city. The electoral college would do this to up to 48 states in the Union. No President would ever care what they wanted ever again, nor would they campaign in those states. They would become the dumping ground for the coastal elites.

It seems an extraordinary number of Democrats are eager to bring about that dystopia. However, many live in those 48 states, and may come to rue the day they pushed for their own demise.

        1. Trump won 2,633 county popular elections, while Clinton only won 487 county popular elections.

Out of 50 states plus the District of Columbia, Trump won 31.

Hillary Clinton was thrashed at the polls in a total landslide. Those who cannot accept or understand this need to go through their grieving process and move on.

If Democrats had their way in getting rid of the electoral college, they would disenfranchise most of the counties in the United States, and make a few king or queen makers. It is patently unjust on its face.

          1. Hillary beat Trump by 3 million votes and her margin by points was equal to or better than 11 previous Presidents.

Hillary beat Bernie by 4 million votes.

Karen’s great EC, winner take all system – it wasn’t that way in the early days of our country when the electors were chosen by districts – resulted in neither candidate spending much time in 3 of our 4 most populous states. In another thread Karen waxed breathlessly about the sanctity of Britain’s slim majority vote for Brexit – that vote or decision never having been constitutionally mandated or having the force of law – while discounting the majority will of American voters for an office intended to be decided by popular will.

Trumpsters are by now well known to willingly perform whatever mental and moral acrobatics necessary to support their lying pig of a leader, but their professed confidence in a candidate who has never broken 50% approval or votes, in a country where only 5 presidents have been elected after voters rejected them, and only 2 since 1888 is self delusion of the highest order. Coupled with the fact that Democrats have won the popular vote for President 6 out of the last 7 elections, no wonder the party leadership works tirelessly at rigging the system to maintain their shrinking lily white power base through gerrymandering, vote suppression, census rigging, and the theft of SC seats, I’m sure Karen is very proud.

  8. Democrats and Jacobins: Reign of Terror awaits them

    Of Progressive Carnivores and Cannibals

    – Victor Davis Hanson

At first, the progressive Old Guard in Congress, like good Girondists, found the revolutionary carnivores useful in reducing the ranks of the Trumpians, the Tea Party, Reagan Democrats, old Perot voters, and the white working class to the inanimate status of “deplorables,” “irredeemables,” “clingers,” and “dregs”—and with them, the bigoted, racist, sexist, nativist, classist, homophobic, and xenophobic Republican Party. Certainly, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), and a few geriatric sympathizers, such as Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), enjoyed the progressive feasting on the Ancien Regime—especially the unity offered by shared hatred of the obviously soon to be impeached, deposed, exiled and discredited Donald J. Trump.

But revolutionary carnivores are rarely sated. Once they run out of easy hostile targets—and they have with the collapse of the Mueller hoax and all the other impeachment melodramas—they get hungry and as cannibals start to eye their own.

In the manner that Robespierre and his Committee of Public Safety guillotined naïve Girondists, so too, “the Squad” of Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Ill.), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) are now damning Nancy Pelosi as a racist. No matter that just hours earlier Pelosi herself had called Donald Trump a racist who wanted to turn away all nonwhite people at the border simply because they were nonwhite.

Again, Pelosi is old, and in the way, and is a target of her party’s quick adoption of her own identity politics.

Pelosi is on to something, given that white and especially Jewish left-wingers are starting to sense that the Squad and their followers consider them ultimately as hostiles in the manner Jacobins redefined all the opponents of the Bourbons as insufficiently revolutionary and equally deserving of decapitation.

Just as the Jacobin agenda was nihilistic, so are the fantasies of the adolescent Ocasio-Cortez and her crowd. No sane American would ever willingly embrace the ludicrous Green New Deal (designed not so much to address climate change as to impose government-ordered redistribution), the abolition of the Electoral College, the end of ICE, extending the franchise to 16-year-olds, cancellation of college debt, free tuition, reparations, a wealth tax, or legal infanticide.

Mostly, the Jacobins frighten the old guard progressives. They empower Donald Trump. They make what is left of the NeverTrump Republicans look even more ridiculous. Ultimately, they are racists, who self-define by their appearance and their ethnic backgrounds in an ever more integrated, multiracial country in which the effort to transcend those Neanderthal considerations was largely the story of the last century.

    Where will it all lead?

To the metaphorical collective Democratic guillotine—until and unless some sane Democrat stands ups and says no more—and learns that the revolutionary mob might prefer to guillotine the guillotiners.

  9. This was the logical result of identity politics and the weaponization of false accusation.

Disagree with a women – misogynist. Sexist.
Disagree with a minority – racist.
Disagree with an immigrant – xenophobic.
Disagree with a Leftist of any category – Nazi and/or Fascist

Having encouraged identity politics, Pelosi is now in the quandary where she has disagreed with an inexperienced freshman woman of color. Now she has been called a sexist racist. What can she do? There’s no response to that, as it’s not about any facts, obviously. It’s pretty much a Mad Libs where you fill in a grievance without any relation to the situation.

Now, the road to DC is littered with the bodies of Republicans and Democrats who crossed Nancy Pelosi. Has the queen still got it? Or will she fall by the sword she sharpened herself?

    1. Pelosi is the one encouraging “identity politics”? You can say that after Trump’s Sunday tweet storm?

And Karen, Honey, it takes more than disagreeing with a woman to be a misogynist–for example, bragging about grabbing them by their genitalia, calling a child rapist a “terrific guy”, claiming to be qualified to advise Theresa May about how to negotiate BREXIT, as if she wants or needs his advice. Now, let’s turn to the tweets themselves–Trump demeans these women,3 of 4 of whom were born in the U.S, by saying multiple derogatory things about them and suggesting they should return home and fix the problems in their home countries and then come back here. They ARE home. Never forget that each of them was validly elected–unlike Trump, who cheated to “win the victory”.

Racism is not “disagreeing” with a minority. It is things like continuing to claim that President Obama was born in Kenya, lying about having proof of this, calling African nations and Haiti “sh**hole” countries, ignoring the needs of citizens of Puerto Rico after the hurricane, and praising White Supremacists even after they killed a protester.

Xenophobia consists of things like arbitrarily wanting to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. because they are Muslims, calling Mexicans “rapists, criminals and drug dealers”, indifference to the intentional emotional suffering inflicted on migrant children by separating them from their parents as a deterrent to seeking asylum and caging people for seeking asylum and ignoring their human needs. If Trump really wanted to stop illegal immigration, he and Republicans would start enforcing laws prohibiting hiring them. This is all a show for people like you, Karen.

What, exactly, is a “Leftist”? Someone who doesn’t approve of Trump? If so, that’s most of the world.

This trivializing of misogyny, racism, xenophobia and calling progressives names, under the guise that one cannot merely disagree with persons of color, women, migrants and persons who are ideologically opposed to Trump without being falsely accused of misogyny, racism, xenophobia or being a Nazi or fascist, sounds like it came straight from Hannity. It’s amazing how sophisticated Kellyanne Pivoting has become, but you keep believing.

      1. blabbermouth, form a coherent thought! my heavens you’re obnoxious.

        1. Mr. Kurtz,
Picture if you will a post- 2020 Natacha rants if Trump is re-elected.
          It’ll be Twilight Zone stuff.

      2. Good post Natasha. If kurtz was able to form a coherent rebuttal to your several coherent thoughts he’d have tried. The rightie regulars on this page who respond to substantive posts with nothing but personal insults is an embarrassment, but of course if they were capable of embarrassment they wouldn’t still be supporting Trump.

      3. Natcha — try to keep up about Puerto Rico. Did you not see the news? It’s not Trump who is responsible for “ignoring the needs of citizens of Puerto Rico”….it’s their own corrupt government officials!!

        https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-puertorico-idUSKCN1U52SB

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Reuters) – Two former high-ranking Puerto Rico government officials were among six people arrested and charged with conspiracy and other crimes in connection with millions of dollars in federal education and Medicaid funds, U.S. law enforcement officials said on Wednesday.

The six are accused of stealing federal money through various government contracts that were awarded as part of corrupt bidding processes.

The arrests come as the bankrupt U.S. territory is seeking to obtain more federal money that it needs for post-Hurricane Maria reconstruction and for increased Medicaid funding.

Puerto Rico has been in U.S. District Court since 2017 using a form of bankruptcy to restructure about $120 billion of debt and pension obligations….

      4. Natacha — try to keep up about the correct terminology for countries where the “rest rooms” are actual holes in the ground. They are not toilets, per se, they are, in fact, holes in the ground that you squat and do your number 2 business in. Fact check: Trump is correct in his terminology. It’s not disparaging when it is true.

      5. Natacha, you bring up Kellyanne Pivoting in the same sentence you call him a woman hater. Notice how the media NEVER mentions or acknowledges what Kellyanne accomplished as the first women in charge of a winning presidential campaign? Notice how the Dems and the media never acknowledge how many women have been given positions of power in the Trump campaign and administration? How many “firsts” for women and women of color in Trump’s world? Notice how you blindly buy into talking point garbage from MSLSD and accept it all as “THE TRUTH” without regard to actual facts? How unfortunate for you

      6. One more thing Natasha: Calling an adult woman “honey” is also misogynistic.

      7. Natacha — Show us the proof, the actual facts that prove your false statement that “each of them was validly elected–unlike Trump, who cheated to “win the victory”. FACT Check: there is far MORE actual evidence proving that Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration cheated…which is why they lost the election. Ever hear the expression, “cheaters never win”? Not only did they “cheat” they broke the law.

      8. Natacha — one last comment….you’re a RAAACISSSST! And a hater, too.

You just sound like one to me. You spew hatred. Hate is hate, honey. You can’t talk about spreading more love while hatin’ on Trump and half the country. That’s just spewing more hate on top of hate you think you see.
So, like you, I get to call you a hater and a racist. And whose opinion matters? Mine. You a racist, girlfriend? Yeah you are. We see you.

          1. Peter and possibly some others didn’t know who Ngo was so let’s hear about a leftist terrorist because Peter likely won’t hear about it from his news sources.

CNN Refuses to Comment on Their Show Featuring Antifa Terrorist Who Tried to Kill ICE Officials

            15 July, 2019
Willem Van Spronsen appeared as member of group described by CNN host as “good guys”.

CNN has refused to comment on the fact that the terrorist who tried to massacre ICE agents on Saturday was a member of a group that received positive coverage on one of their broadcasts.

69-year-old Willem Van Spronsen was shot dead by police on Saturday morning at an ICE facility in Washington State after he threw molotov cocktails in an attempt to ignite a propane tank. He was also armed with an AR-15 semi-automatic weapon.

Van Spronsen was subsequently celebrated by some on the far-left and a copy of his manifesto emerged in which he stated, “I am Antifa” and said the attack was a protest against the establishment of “concentration camps” in the United States.

It swiftly emerged that Van Spronsen had featured on a May 5 episode of CNN’s “United Shades of America” with W. Kamau Bell.

The episode featured the Tacoma Redneck Revolt chapter of Antifa, of which Van Spronsen was a member.

Bell described the gun-toting leftists featured in the show as the “good guys” because they “seek to battle the “alt-right” and neo-Nazis”.

“Bell noted that the “Redneck Revolt” “protects counter-protesters, feeds the hungry and provides gun safety courses. Bell also organized an on-camera meeting between the “Redneck Revolt” and Black Lives Matter — Van Spronsen appears to be one of the attendees. The CNN host laughed and nodded his head in agreement throughout the meeting,” reports Fox News.

“CNN has done more to give the psycho domestic terrorists of Antifa credibility than any other outlet,” said Media Research Center vice president Dan Gainor. “Now Antifa has escalated from attacking people in the street to sending a journalist to the hospital with a brain hemorrhage to, finally, a deadly act of domestic terrorism.”

AllanBell’s Twitter profile also features a rifle and an Antifa flag in its header image.

However, CNN appears anxious to answer questions about why one of their heavily promoted shows gave a positive platform to a group which produced a literal domestic terrorist.

“CNN did not immediately respond to a request for comment and a request to confirm that Van Spronsen was featured on the network,” reports Fox News.

      9. Natacha — sorry, meant to ask if you know who backs and supports anti-Israel and terrorist supporting Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib? Yep, you know it — Val Jar and Barry and Mo. (Valerie Jarrett, Barack and Michelle). They are rooting for the terror backing, Israel hating, Muslim Brotherhood loving Congresswoman — even tweeting “we have your back”…. How about that? Who’s surprised?

  10. The current American pandemonium is an exponentially greater threat than legal secession by southern states.

If the illegitimate seizure of all power, the vitiation and neutralization of the legislative and judicial branches, the prosecution of illegal war

against a sovereign foreign country without Congregational declaration, barbarous compulsory conscription of young men, the

suspension of Habeas Corpus and the brutal suppression of all political opposition was good enough for Abraham “Crazy Abe” Lincoln to

“Save the Union,” it’s good enough for President Donald J. Trump in order to “Save the Republic” during this period of hysteria and

incoherence in which the anarchist, globalist, anti-American, hyphenate inmates have taken over the asylum.

  11. Good Lord! With Trump’s latest Twitter tirades, this nothingburger is what you chose to publish today? Did you miss his statement that the 4 women Congresspeople of color should go back to where they came from and fix the problems in their home countries? Rep. Omar was born in Yemen, and immigrated here when she was 12. The other 3 were born in the United States. All four are U.S. citizens, which is a requirement to serve in the House of Representatives, something Trump apparently doesn’t know or care about. Never one to be deterred by facts, Trump doubled down. It is as plain as it can be that he is pandering to White Supremacists and White Nationalists to stir up his base in a pathetic bid to stay in the White House.

I haven’t heard this type of hateful rhetoric in decades. Only one Republican so far has condemned this rhetoric. Meanwhile, our Hypocrite-in-Chief, Mikey Pence, hasn’t expressed any empathy for the conditions under which those migrant men were being held, much less any commitment to do something to alleviate their suffering. It must be, of course, the fault of Democrats.

    1. No, silly, it was Russian bots! All of it is the fault of Russian bots hijacking Trump’s twitter feed. Duh.

  12. Today on cnn they showed photos of the four anti semetic congresswomen. That set of photos alone is enough to drive voters away from and out of the Democratic Party. I am now gone. If the party would not repudiate these remarks from these itchBays then the party is baaaad.

  13. In any Democrat Party civil war, the good and decent people of America must root for mass casualties.

    1. I’m rooting for real Americans to win in any asymmetrical conflict.
In respect of those who would tear this great nation down?

let their blood run like a river deep and long

“And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horses’ bridles, for a thousand and six hundred furlongs.” rev 14.

      1. People who talk about “real Americans” are the ones who hate it. There are no “real Americans”. We’re all mongrels from somewhere else and if you don;t like, GFY, and hopefully in another country.

        1. real Americans are hard to nail down. we come in all shapes and sizes and even different colors…. yes….. there’s even some foreigners that are real americans.

it can be confusing, but don’t worry. when it all jumps off, trust me, we will sort it out very quickly.

        2. IMO, people who continually disregard the interests of their fellow Americans in favor of those they consider more deserving than Americans, are not “real Americans,” no matter where they were born.

        3. Anon,t here is such a thing as Americanism. It has little to do with where one came from but how one adapted to a new home where one hoped to have a better life. If one wishes to bring their prior despotic lives with them and promote that type of culture then they really aren’t Americans and never will become Americans. They are who they bring here. Based on the comments you make I don’t expect you to recognize America as a special place. Your type of rhetoric tends to undermine the individual freedom that created this country.

  14. Why do I sense glee in JT in his article replete with references to Greek mythology?

Kinda thick bruh! Yet many of us are glad to see the Left imploding for a change. Watch for Republicans to blow it once again, their singular hallmark

  15. Instead of focusing on representing their District’s constituents, AOC et al., enjoy grandstanding to show their moral superiority over everyone. They believe they are on a secular moral crusade and their job is to destroy the non-believers. As Nancy Pelosi has quickly discovered, they are a dangerous and reckless bunch.

  16. Vive la revolution!

It would be fun to watch the implosion except Trump’s stupid tweets keep getting in the way.
