Res Ipsa Blog Hits 37,000,000

Last night, we passed the 37,000,000 mark in views on the blog. We have used these moments to give thanks for our many regular readers around the world and give you an idea of the current profile of readers on the blog. We continue to rank in the top legal blogs in the world and we continue to attract a growing international readership. As always, I want to offer special thanks for Darren Smith who has continued to help manage the blog and help out folks who encounter posting problems. The increasing traffic on the site is gratifying and reaffirms that there are many people looking for passionate but civil debate. While we have some who cannot resist personal attacks, we try to discourage such posters and this site remains remarkably civil for its size.

So here is our current profile:

  1. This seems an appropriate place to post this article. I understand this blog thrives because it’s Turley’s Colosseum, and he seems to desire a bloody, no-holds-barred fight to the death. But can it thrive if we fought to find common ground instead?

Frankly, it is a toss-up which is worse: the self-flagellation of some liberals or the self-promotion of some conservatives. But I do know this: America would be a more wholesome, more unified, and more decent place if liberals stopped thinking they have a monopoly on compassion and intelligence and conservatives stopped thinking they have a monopoly on patriotism and God.

  2. of all of the top posters, only 1 has an excuse, Hill, since their income depends on commenting.

The others are an embarrassment to their alleged conservative institutions and principles of family, discipling, evangelizing, ministering, tending to the hungry, the sick, the orphan, the poor, etc, particularly the blowhards who pound their chests regularly with their holier than thou tasteless flat salt

  3. I hope that more people in Minnesota will read this blog. Perhaps they will vote out one of the Gang of Four.

  4. It’s funny that you listed 6 of the most uncivil posters as the most frequent commenters, especially when you state that you desire to have passionate civil debate without personal attacks.

    Totally laughable!

  5. Anonymous was surely disappointed to not have made the top ten 🙂

    1. Unlike some people, those who post anonymously don’t give a horse’s patootie.

      1. How do you know I’m talking about you?? I might be talking about one of the other anonymouses.

        1. Obviously, FFS.

Which is the sole, salient pundit worthy of audience and esteem?

    1. Can’t guess, huh? OK, time’s up. I can’t give you his name but his initials are M7.
