NYPD Looks For Teenagers Who Beat 67-Year-Old Woman With Her Own Cane

We have yet another shocking videotape released by police of a mob of teenagers beating down a defenseless person. This attack occurred in Queens, New York where teenagers jumped from a late model Nissan Ultima and beat a 67-year-old woman with her own cane while taunting and laughing at her.

The attack occurred on August 4th and police released the videotape.

The teens stole the victim’s cellphone. As with earlier videos of arbitrary attacks, it is the utter lack of empathy or mercy that shocks the viewer. These teens clearly enjoy beating down a defenseless woman and laugh at her pain.

Surveillance video shows the woman struggling to hold onto her cane on 169th Street as a group of teenagers apparently tries to steal it. The group then appears to push the woman down during the attack, and while she was dazed and on her knees, not only did they steal her Samsung cellphone, but proceeded to hit her with her own cane, according to authorities.

Police are urging anyone with information to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA. Tips can also be sent via http://www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

  1. Meanwhile, Cindy — yes, the Cindy that so carefully stroked so many upon her first appearance ten months ago — now thinks that Enigma is a phantasm of the net, and that Anon1 is the mastermind.

Never have I seen such a wasted soul.

It must be difficult to keep all the Q shit straight.

  2. Squeeky is a woman that lives with too many cats and plastic guitars.

She carries knives, guns, and probably brass knuckles on her everyday. She is very scared of the world.

  3. Racist clowns on this board – these idiots no more represent blacks – or are somehow a refutation of MLK – than Dylann Roof represents white people, and he killed 9 in cold blood.

As noted by TIA, violent crime rates are significantly lower now and that is a decades old trend.

    1. Street crime, including extraordinary rates of homicide are, an everyday problem where you have concentrations of blacks bar in two circumstances: odd little enclaves where affluent blacks have congregated and in localities where officials have the capacity and will to suppress the crime. Mass shootings are actually quite rare and white-on-black homicides of all types are quite unusual (you might have two a year in a metropolitan region of ordinary size).

    2. Anon1 – Actually they do represent blacks, unfortunately. Because we keep seeing the same anti-social behavior by blacks, over and over again, both in the U.S. and in Europe. Dylan Roof was an anomaly. That’s why we remember his name. Do we remember the names of the blacks who have attacked and killed whites? No, it wouldn’t be possible, because it’s such a common occurrence. As is said, when dog bites man, it’s par for the course. When man bites dog, it’s news.

      1. Kitty, your understanding of what acts represent groups of fellow Americans is seriously f… up and racist. These punk teenagers don’t cancel or over ride the millions of blacks lawfully, responsibly, and peacefully serving in our military, patrolling our streets, working in our stores, offices, wherehouses and factories, just like most whites. Chew on this:

“…..Leading forms of bias cited in the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, based on law enforcement agency filings are: anti-black, anti-Jewish, anti-white, anti-homosexual, and anti-Hispanic bias in that order in both 2004 and 2005.[298] According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, whites, blacks, and Hispanics had similar rates of violent hate crime victimization between 2007 and 2011.[299][300] However, from 2011 to 2012, violent hate crimes against Hispanic people increased by 300%.[301] When considering all hate crimes, and not just violent ones, African Americans are far more likely to be victims than other racial groups.[302][303]…”

    3. Anon1…….I pity you. If you had an ounce of respect for Dr. King and his teachings, you would not be calling anyone on here a racist.

      1. Cindy, I don’t need your cheap racist pity. You love MLK now, but dollars to donuts you hated his guts up to when he was assassinated and the GOP tried to convert him into a toothless validator of white smugness instead of the revolutionary he was.

I was part of the CR movement while he was alive, before the CR Act of 1964, and in the deep south where blacks were not allowed in restaurants except for the back door pickup – they were the ones cooking the grits, ribs, cornbread and collards inside – or hotels and motels, and they drank from a “colored” fountain and used the “colored” bathroom. If you grew up in Houston, you know what i’m talking about. What did you do about it?

        1. Anon1 – so, were you one of the Communists I used to run into in the CR movement? Took a while to clear most of them out. It was a real problem. MLK top lt. was a member of the CPUSA. How long did it take the movement to catch on to you?

          1. Paul, glad you’re not pretending to be anything but the racist defender of segregation you apparently were in the 60’s. Now GFY.

              1. Mr. Schulte,
Be careful. You are probably addressing one of the key characters, anon1, on which the story of “Mississippi Burning” was based.
I’m waiting for anon1 to tell all of us how he led that investigation.

                1. My limited role doesn’t matter A, my side won, yours lost. It’s been 50 years. Get over it. The south and white supremacist segregation aren’t coming back. I’m happy I was on the right side of history and did a little something about it.

                  1. Anon1……..You’re not who you claim to be. It’s a little entertaining to read your rants, but I know you’re a hired talking gnat……..Hired to interrupt comments on certain blogs.
My guess is you’re early 20’s, live in the Bay area and delight in conjuring up faux passions and faux outbursts of disdain for the kind people who honestly post here.
                    Enjoy your cheetos!

                    1. Cindy, I wish.

PS You’re not important enough to lie to, and if I did, I’d come up with better stuff.

                  2. Anon1……..it’s so obvious to me now., with each comment, that you’ve got this charade going on.
If you’re doing this at 20, what will you be at 40?
I do pity you and your little yellow digits…..lol

                  3. Huh??? Segregation is alive and well! Even Liberal Democrats and SJW stay out the inner cities! Why do you think we have all these bedroom communities??? There ain’t nobody with a lick of sense who want to live around those inner city apes. (Please forgive me primates for associating you with these low class black folks.)

                    1. Oooh gee. Squeaky is hurting my feelings with his clever and perceptive posts.

                      Somebody must be paying him!

                      That’ll be the day.

        2. Of course you did, anon1. But I worked with W.E.B. du Bois even before your claimed involvement in the Civil Rights movement.
Do we have anyone who wants to claim their heroic work with Frederick Douglas?

        3. Anon1…..My racist pity is not cheap, by the way. It’ll cost you, kiddo. (;
Well, for openers, and as I have said before, I have a personal letter from Coretta that I received in late May, 1968, signed by her, addressed to me when I was in college . She wrote thanking me for my letter of sympathy to her after her husband was killed on April 4 of that year. Her letter has hung on our wall in every house I have lived in since 1968.
Also, I dated a black college friend in 1967. And also, I dated a black man for 6 months in DC in 1971. We had to stop dating because his parents, postal workers, hated whites. I was not allowed in their home….and they were middle class..
Oh, almost forgot….In 1967, my Baptist college glee club, with a black member, toured the South during Spring break. We were discriminated against because of that. We weren’t allowed in any restaurants…..and in Jackson, Miss, our lives were in danger when the Klan threatened us right before our concert at a Bapt church there. We had to hide under pews until midnight. But we didn’t cancel our 10 day tour.
My home church in Houston had black members. Some in the choir, along with Koreans, hispanics,…..my father was choir director.
Baptists celebrated other cultures and immigrants before it was cool.
Any other questions, Mr. Sour Puss, or maybe I’ll call you Chippy, because of that ridiculously huge chip on your shoulder?
          Lighten up, kiddo.
p.s. based on my experiences, I’d say I’m a really really pathetic excuse for a racist. But I know it’s in your contract to refer to all white people that way

          1. Good for your past Cindy, but what happened to you that you now want to paint a race by it’s worst members?

PS I only refer to racists as such, regardless of color. Most of the white people I know aren’t.

  4. In the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, two Hasidic men, one an elderly rabbi, were attacked in separate incidents this week. One victim was a delivery driver, sitting in traffic, and a rock was thrown through his driver’s side window, with flying glass cutting his eye. The other victim was taking his daily walk when he was attacked by an assailant who knocked out his teeth, broke his nose, and beat him to the ground with a large rock. He has been hospitalized. Video of both assailants shows young black men.

      TIN,
Not to make light of your comment, but it reminded me of one of the terrific episodes of “Barney Miller”. (There were a lot of great episodes).
There actually had been a major assault on a NY precinct station by thousands of Hasidics a few years prior to the Barney Miller episode.

        1. Ms. Bragg,
One of the best sitcoms ever made. I still enjoy watching the syndicated Barney Miller episodes on MeTv over 35 years after they were made.
James Gregory ( Inspector Lugar) was a brilliant character actor who appeared in numerous films.

          1. James Gregory…and the rest of the cast….so talented!
I’ll have to look for those reruns. Honestly, there are very few sitcoms today that rank anywhere near some gems from the old dsys.

  5. https://www-m.cnn.com/2017/04/28/us/la-riots-korean-americans/index.html?r=android-app%3A%2F%2Fcom.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
    Ms.Bragg,
This isn’t anything new. If you followed the developments during the course of the Rodney King riots, you’d see all of the “righteous rage” directed towards Asians working their tails off in dicey neighborhoods.
It didn’t seem like black businesses, with the exceptioneof the looting business, sprouted up in those neighborhoods.

    1. Anonymous…………exactly. I remember reading about the Korean woman in Baltimore who had a lovely salon she had built up from scratch, only to have the black community throw bricks at it and set it on fire. The black mayor of Baltimore encouraged black them to vent and destroy hardworking people’s businesses. I remember thinking it was only a couple of months til Christmas, and how that would affect paychecks and income of employees and owners.
And what did Pres. Obama and his incompetent AG do? crickets

      1. The Baltimore riots were in April, not Oct. I confused the date with some other riot protesting faux racism.
. There are so many from which to choose.
These people have made a mockery of all that Dr. King stood for.

  6. My comments were removed. So much for Turley’s oft-lauded commitment to free speech. Just so you know…..

  7. The young thugs are black. The victim appears to be white. That fact appears no where in the post.
And this is where we are today.
Had it been white on black crime………..wall to wall news coverage until Rev. Al gives the benediction.

    1. i think i made that observation and it did not appear. maybe I didn’t load my post correctly.

I observe they were not in the part of Queens that is mostly Chinese & Asian (Flushing). That is one of the safest parts of NYC. Old ladies walk around there late at night shopping for fresh foods in open air markets with no worries.

Flushing is one of the most “racially segregated” NYC neighborhoods. Mostly Asian, very few blacks. Very little violent crime. Coincidence? I don’t know, just making the observation

      1. Mr Kurtz….Thank you…I didn’t know that about Flushing.
We had Chinese family friends’ of ours back in the day in Houston who carried guns, especially at their businesses. The people who messed with them the most and threatened them, were blacks. That was a real education for me because we were church friends with the Chinese, and they were so peace- loving. We had no idea about the animus blacks had toward Asians.. We were schocked by that!
I think I remember hearing that the Asians and blacks were at odds with each other in the poorer neighborhoods of Los Angeles, too….again, because blacks robbed and bullied them.

      2. Nah, Kurtz, you posted correctly. Your comments were deleted by the moderator, just like the other comments that didn’t fit the liberal delusion that individuals of a certain demographic often display more savage conduct than individuals of other demographics. If Turley allows the truth on his blog, he might not get invited to cocktail parties in his liberal bastion of lily white suburbia.

      1. Heavy listed the accused’s arsenal as being an antigue 9mm pistol and a “Brownson, Slucom, and Hopkins percussion shotgun” a percussion cap-fired black powder double barrel hunting piece so old that even collectible examples are listed “Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.”

I suspect that this case was overblown by local law enforcement and by Heavy (who I usually go to for quick, relatively unbiased information on shooters and other high-profile felons). Reserving judgment as to any real plan to commit a mass shooter, as opposed to other possible explanations.

          1. You and I have the same icon image.

I thought each comp gets their own…guess not

          2. No, but it’s not the Wal-Mart shooter, is it? What we have here is a kid who broke state law, may have had a plan to kill people (according to his arresting officers), and would have gone armed with weapons entirely unsuited to a mass shooting spree. There’s both more and less to this story than we’re seeing.

          3. Short version: Boy caught before he shot anyone versus 69 year-old woman beaten senseless with her own cane over a cell phone (or possibly just for the rush) by gang of assailants. Falee equivalence much?

  8. I’ll be glad when Trump is out of office, then this kind of behavior will stop.

  9. If they get caught they will just say that they are about to turn their lives around.

  10. This is what it is like for some children in public schools. When an innocent child has to navigate The Lord of the Flies, they become hardened and violent just to survive. There is no escape after school, either, because their violent peers are out on the neighborhood streets. There is no safety for children unless they join with the bullies and violent for protection.

    This is a tragedy.

  11. Sweet Jesus, young people acting like beasts. Anyone who acts like this is unfit to live in society, and needs to be put on ice in prison. Some people are just determined to get locked up.

It struck me that if 4 white teenagers assaulted an elderly black lady, the media, activists, politicians, Hollywood glitterati, etc would be absolutely certain it was racist. There is quite the double standard. I have no idea if this was racist, but it does underline the fact that the gender of the victim often triggers a leap to conclusions.

I am so sorry this happened, and hope the lady recovers. Our values are decaying. Respect and care for the elderly are supposed to be a core value, but this is clearly not being taught to the next generation.

    1. Just think, if we eliminated the Electoral College, these communities represent the voter base that will be in the majority of a national popular vote.

    2. Paul C…………yeah, they’ve done a great job! 🤡
And remember, above all else, anything that goes wrong is the white man’s fault.

  12. The woman seems to put up a fairly decent struggle. The kids are either pussies, or not necessarily committed to really hurting her.

    1. What? “not necessarily commited to really hurting her”?

Hope a delegation from your home planet sends diplomats to Earth soon,.

  13. Here in the State of Florida, since the victim is 65 years old or older, the perpetrators would be subject to a mandatory minimum prison sentence of three years. These animals merit far more time. Of course, in NYC, perhaps the authorities will lament the perpetrators’ hard lives, frustration about “white privilege,” and disadvantaged childhoods as a substitute for a public caning, fifteen years at hard labor in a maximum security prison, and jail time for the parents if such persons might ever be identified, especially the fathers if even known. Plus: no matter what the age of each perpetrator: each must suffer the punishments of an adult. Anyone who would do what they did cannot be deemed a child.

  14. My guess is these attackers are part of the 25+% of all Americans the DNC is courting for votes, thanks to the Secular Coalition of America.

At nearly one quarter of the total U.S. population, nonreligious Americans—one third of which are Democrats and nearly half of which are independent—will represent a sizeable voting bloc in the upcoming election. This resolution marks the first time a major U.S. political party has specifically courted religiously unaffiliated people across the nation.

The resolution says that the DNC Recognizes:

The value, ethical soundness, and importance of the religiously unaffiliated demographic, a group of Americans who contribute in innumerable ways to the arts, sciences, medicine, business, law, the military, their communities, the success of the Party and prosperity of the Nation; and

That religiously unaffiliated Americans are a group that, as much as any other, advocates for rational public policy based on sound science and universal humanistic values and should be represented, included, and heard by the Party.

    1. Uh, Olly …….. No.

“Those societies today that are the most religious — where faith in God is strong and religious participation is high — tend to have the highest violent crime rates, while those societies in which faith and church attendance are the weakest — the most secular societies — tend to have the lowest.

We can start at the international level. The most secular societies today include Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Czech Republic, Estonia, Japan, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Hungary, China and Belgium. The most religious societies include Nigeria, Uganda, the Philippines, Pakistan, Morocco, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Colombia, Senegal, Malawi, Indonesia, Brazil, Peru, Jordan, Algeria, Ghana, Venezuela, Mexico and Sierra Leone.

It is the highly secularized countries that tend to fare the best in terms of crime rates, prosperity, equality, freedom, democracy, women’s rights, human rights, educational attainment and life expectancy. (Although there are exceptions, such as Vietnam and China, which have famously poor human rights records.) And those nations with the highest rates of religiosity tend to be the most problem-ridden in terms of high violent crime rates, high infant mortality rates, high poverty rates and high rates of corruption….”

Take homicide. According to the United Nations’ 2011 Global Study on Homicide, of the 10 nations with the highest homicide rates, all are very religious, and many — such as Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador and Brazil — are among the most theistic nations in the world. Of the nations with the lowest homicide rates, nearly all are very secular, with seven ranking among the least theistic nations, such as Sweden, Japan, Norway and the Netherlands.

….What about within the United States? According to the latest study from the Pew Research Center, the 10 states that report the highest levels of belief in God are Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and Oklahoma (tied with Utah). The 10 states with the lowest levels of belief in God are Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, Alaska, Oregon and California. And as is the case in the rest of the world, when it comes to nearly all standard measures of societal health, including homicide rates, the least theistic states generally fare much better than the most theistic. Consider child-abuse fatality rates: Highly religious Mississippi’s is twice that of highly secular New Hampshire’s, and highly religious Kentucky’s is four times higher than highly secular Oregon’s….”

  15. It’s a reasonable inference this was a racially-motivated crime. It will not be recorded as such, of course. Television news is less inclined toward narrative-building than is the Sulzberger Bum Wipe, so they made no attempt to conceal this aspect of the matter.

There are always people in the tail of the bell curve, and the only thing you can do with this sort of behavioral outlier is punish, deter, and incapacitate. The proportion in that tail vary from one era to another and from one coarse demographic category to another. Contemporary liberal culture (as manifest in Mayor Bilge diBlabbio) is so degenerate that it cannot uphold practical action when that means imposing ordinary moral standards on their preferred mascots.

    1. I do not think we are in agreement on the context for ‘nurture’. Blaming these kids’ behaviour on ‘the legacy of slavery’s or racism is not ‘nurture’.

Nurture has to do with family dynamics and child-rearing, religious upbringing, the adults interacting with kids at school, clubs, sports.

    2. 1. Bad peer cultures influenced by

      2. Grotesque mass entertainment phenomena; and

      3. Odious messages from the opinion-leader element; and

      4. The weak authority regime in fatherless homes; and

      5. Mothers who get into cat fights with their neighbors and are itching to f-bomb their supervisors at work (like they do the exasperated dean at the school their spawn attends intermittently).

    3. Prairie Rose – it’s a vicious cycle.

Single motherhood is one of the highest statistical risk factors for the children to live in poverty, do poorly in school, drop out, join a gang, engage in crime, do drugs, go to jail, or get killed. They grow up to continue the cycle of absent fathers and single mothers.

I have no idea if any of these teens lived in single parent households. I speak of trends. This particular trend is blasting through the culture of not only black communities, but white, too. Anyone can act like trash, and single motherhood has the same affect on any racial demographic, outside of the super rich with an army of au pairs. As long as the communities most affected believe the rhetoric that it is someone else’s fault, that they are helpless to improve their lives and require government care, then this will only get worse. More children doomed to a bleak future.

This is a symptom of the decay of Western civilization and culture.

      1. Youngsters in the care of single mothers behave comparatively badly when assessed cross-sectionally. However, you have confounding factors when these are assessed longitudinally and in aggregate. A higher share of the youth population is raised by single-mothers than was the case 40 years ago, but crime rates have declined over that time. You can’t do much directly about how people order their domestic life, but you can make other social adjustments which have salutary effects. Like throwing hoodlums in prison. The one thing you can do about single motherhood is stop speaking and behaving in ways which suggest single-motherhood should not be status-lowering.

        1. I don’t know that the results are the same cross-sectionally. I did take a class where info was presented which claimed white males raised by single mothers tend to be weak, directionless mama’s boys. They’re actually nicer people, being more compassionate and sensitive than white boys raised by men, but they lack the competitiveness and confidence and generally are unsuccessful, settling for low-level jobs such as retail clerks. Black boys raised by single mothers, on the other hand, tend to get in more trouble and have less ability or desire to control and conform their behavior. I don’t recall who produced the study, but based on casual observation, it appears accurate.

    4. That’s always been Big Education’s argument against home schooling and magnet schools – “children need to socialize with each other”. And these guys are what New York’s public schools produce. Sounds harsh, but during the Kavanaugh show trial Senate confrimation hearing, we heard an awful lot about the horrible people Brett Kavanaugh’s private school produced. So, fine. We have video of what “socialization” in school produces.

    1. The youths menacing Goetz had 19 arrests and 12 convictions between them. Over the previous five years, they had, between the four of them, been sentenced to a total of 120 days of incarceration in local jails. (Keep in mind local sheriffs in New York can let you out on parole after 2/3 of your sentence has been served). Only one of the four had ever served any time. (Michael Kinsley remarked at the time that the rubrics of how they approached Goetz appear to have been dreamed up by one of their public defender lawyers). The wretched irony is that the one with the least extensive record was the one paralyzed.
