We have previously discussed televangelist Kenneth Copeland and his bizarre explanations for why he needed to fly in luxury planes and other controversies. Now Copeland appears genuinely concerned about the loss of jobs during the coronavirus outbreak: because people are choosing to use their money to feed their families rather than donate to the church. Accordingly, Copeland took to the air to declare “Whatever you do right now, don’t you stop tithing.”
In a recent broadcast on his Victory Live TV show, Copeland told his followers that losing your job and income to coronavirus was no excuse to stop giving:
Fear of this coronavirus is faith in its ability to hurt you or kill you. The fear of ‘What are we gonna do? I’m getting laid off at work!’
Hey! Your job’s not your source. If it is, you’re in trouble. Jesus is your source! Whatever you do right now, don’t you stop tithing! Don’t you stop sowing offerings.
‘Well, they won’t let us go to church!’
Well, email it in, then! Text together. Something. But you get your tithe in that church if you have to go take it down there and drop it off… stick it under the door or something. You get that tithe in that church, you get that offering in that church, and then you go home and do what you’re supposed to do.
Of course, Televangelist Jim Bakker has outdone his contemporaries during the crisis. At least Copeland would just take what little money followers may have in the crisis. Bakker could end up costing them their lives. Bakker is selling the $125 “Silver Solution” as a possible cure for coronavirus. New York Attorney General Letitia James, whose office sent him a cease and desist order telling him to quit “making misleading claims regarding the Silver Solution’s effectiveness.”
We previously discussed how Bakker (who did time for fraud) has been hawking Trump coins as a “point of contact with God” as well as doomsday pancake mix.
Just another con man using religion as path to stay rich.
Con artist, for sure, wolves in sheep’s clothing preying on the faithful. That’s pretty bad.
I always give to homeless when I see them, which of course, ppl that know me hate it, say it is dangerous, but I have never been attacked by any homeless.
There is a Vietnam vet hangs out in Arlington near Courthouse area. I use to give him money from time to time. He had mental health issues. I saw an older man do even better than me, he took him into WholeFoods and bought him a hot plate meal.
As always, there are good, kind ppl, and real wicked types too.

Turley pointing out a religious con-man that uses believers in faith, but not pointing out a con-man who uses his political believers to also con them into false belief is cherry-picking. They are the same, con-men any way you look at it. They use people for their own benefit. And in that vein, Trump and Copeland are the same person thru and thru.

Why, he left out: a shooter on the grassy knoll; the invasion of Rome by the Visigoths; the papers announcing a while sale at Penny’s; going against Sicilians when death is on the line, and; renaming Burma as Myanmar. My goodness, Mr. Turley practically left out half of all human history! An obvious oratorical blunder, the likes of which no one has ever seen. It’s painful to watch him decline so rapidly. I’m sure you will join me in a moment of silence.
