Res Ipsa Hits 40,000,000

Last night, we passed the 40,000,000 mark in views on the blog. It is an amazing level of traffic that continues to grow on the blog. When my wife’s family set up this blog on a vacation years ago (to nudge me into modern technology), I never imagined that it would become one of the largest legal blogs. It is a distinction that is due primarily to our loyal readers who return every day to discuss contemporary legal, political, and occasionally bizarre stories. We have used these moments to give thanks for our many regular readers around the world and give you an idea of the current profile of readers on the blog. We continue to rank in the top legal blogs in the world and I am particularly proud of our growing international readership. As always, I want to offer special thanks for Darren Smith who has continued to help manage the blog and help out folks who encounter posting problems.

So here is our current profile:

We are currently approaching 300,000 followers on the blog email subscription and Twitter. We have an additional 11,042 followers on WordPress.

We have almost 19,000 blog posts with almost 100 comments per post on average.

    I do not understand why the President has to attack these reporters for asking legitimate questions, particularly about the IG. Giroir had an excellent response to the IG findings that should have ended it. Finally, Karl is an honest reporter who asked an honest question.

Professor Turley’s attraction is his presentation, even if merely perfunctory, of a respectable degree of deference for the “manifest tenor” and original, actual intent of the literal words of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, which is found nowhere in the broader expanse of antithetical, communist America, understanding that the entire redistributionist, illicitly regulated and private-property-right-violating American welfare state is irrefutably unconstiutional.

    That attendant photo, along with the depiction of the Americans and American Founders at the top of the blog, remind me of my high school yearbook – pre-counterintuitive foreign immigration and, in the words of Alexander Hamilton, “…discordant intermixture…,” (America having pursued Zero Population Growth [ZPG]), no unconstitutional Affirmative Action Privilege or anti-American illegal invasion, and nothing but Americans in America.

        I’ve never taken the time to get familiar with Twitter. Do you follow this blog from there? Isn’t it text limited? That would certainly put a crimp in some of those posts here…including some of mine.

        1. Olly, Good to hear from you. I do follow the blog via Twitter. There are a different mix pf people. JT’s followers on Twitter grew exponentially after his superb impeachment testimony. I follow you on Twitter but haven’t seen any posts of late. The text limits require one to be pithy. Being a lover of Hemingway I can abide that. It’s funny. I come here on occasion but comment like I’m on Twitter. This is my longest comment here for some time. Too long for Twitter.

      1. Hi NickS! Not yet. Just hunkered down in my well-prepped mobile home. Plenty of food and drink and ammo. If things really hit the fan, I will have the whole shebang moved to my Dad’s Bug-Out farm across the border in Texas. But I think this pandemic is kinda tame, and will end soon.

        1. LOL! Always love your humor. People here in MN are very compliant, and low virus infections. But, the fascists are showing their colors. I am old enough to remember the 1957-58 Asian flu. I was 5 and it kicked my ass. It was a flu that hit kids hard. I remember my grandparents who lived thru the 1918 Spanish flu being worried,,and they were tough folks. Well, 117K dies in the US. I predict less will die in this. We have given up rights and these fascists will not want to return them.
          It’s no secret the non compliant northeasterners are getting hit hard. I grew up there and am not surprised. I was in SoCal when the shit hit the fan. I drove home starting on 3/14-18. It was surreal, the country paranoid in the cities I drove thru and rural areas living life normally. Ate a great steal dinner in the TX panhandle. I bet they’re still open.
