  1. I read the blog every day and comment too often. I am facetious and joking sometimes. I was a civil rights lawyer before I retired at age 56 and I have a great interest in the topics here. I am not in favor of any candidate for the Presidency and am too critical on that topic. When the election is over and the virus has tuned down we can focus more on the practice of law and our various courts.

    1. Liberty2nd– I may not agree always but I enjoy what you write. Speaking of the practice of law, although I am of retirement age, I am still practicing because I still love it. But, yesterday, I had my first hearing via Zoom and I hated it. I need the feel and smell of a courtroom and an ability to watch body language and tone of voice, all of which is missing when everyone is talking to a computer screen. I think you retired at a good time.

  2. Congrats. I wish I took a class with you at GW law, though I still remember the day at the rally on campus in which you took the police off my back. I always look forward to your take on daily events. Thanks.

  3. Congratulations, Professor Turley. While I don’t always agree with you, I value your candor, your acumen and your integrity. And I visit here everyday.

  4. A well deserved milestone. People want objective and truthful analysis in place of the garbage that the traditional media are now supplying in ever more copious amounts.

  5. Congrats Professor Turley! I just discovered your blog within the last month, and now it’s my first stop every morning.

  6. Yes, I do remember when Turley would write about corrupt cops, lawyers, prosecutors, and judges that got paid for putting people in private prisons. Dirty cops that would get caught planting evidence and shootings that were not justified. That’s the Turley that I liked to read. Sadly, of he has become a political hack for Barr and Trump. I do not take pleasure in that finding, but most people know BS when they see it. And lately, he’s been piling it up really good for everyone to see.

    1. “…corrupt cops, lawyers, prosecutors, and judges…”

You just described all the co-conspirators in the Obama Coup D’etat in America.

      1. Can you tell anyone how many indictments, guilty plea or convictions there were in the Obama administration?

        1. Note to Self: Call United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut John Durham.

    2. FishWings, when I first started commenting here, Professor Turley would diligently note every unwise tweet and statement by Trump. And sometimes the Trumpers here would spend all morning skewering Turley because he wasn’t the sycophant they wanted him to be.

But everything changed when Trump appointed William Barr as Attorney General. Turley wrote a column hailing Barr as a lawyer of the highest integrity. And tellingly Turley mentioned that Barr was a close, personal friend.

From that moment on it seemed Turley was noting Trump mistakes far less often, until he finally stopped all together. Most recently, Turley has literally been running distraction columns on days when Trump is crazier than usual. ..It’s all very disappointing..!

    3. I don’t always agree with his views, but he’s the most honest/objective/non-partisan opinion writer I have found. Whether he’s for or against my views, he’s always worth reading. To bad that some label him a “hack” when they don’t like his opinions…. but it’s their loss.

  7. You don’t suppose Obama is one of those 41,000,000 hits assessing sentiment favoring and compelling the ever tightening cordon.

  8. Uh, Dude!

75% of the posts are from raving paranoids and white supremacists. You’re proud of this?

    1. Anon – it is so nice of you to self-identify as a raving paranoid white supremacist.

    2. Generational Welfare, Affirmative Action Privilege and all other forms of redistribution of wealth and confiscation and/or control of private property are unconstitutional.

It is distinctly constitutional and absolutely not unconstitutional to be paranoid or supreme, understanding that property damage and bodily injury are illegal and criminally actionable.

  9. Thanks, JT for letting us play in your sandbox. BTW, I see a lot more shoutout on the alternative press for you. You might have to start writing columns for Buzzfeed (if it can survive the ChiCom Virus) and other rags that drive alternative media up the wall.

Thanks to everyone who participates, even by lurking. 😉

    1. I ran a Catholic list in the 1990s using majordomo on someone else’s server (Shout out to Richard Chonak). Lurkers comprised about 90% of the subscribers to my list. Always direct your comments to the lurkers for they are very much present

      1. Estovir – I write for a very small audience, the person I am addressing. If others like or appreciate what I write that is great. If not, so be it. My needs are small. 😉

  10. I appreciate your knowledge of the law and your forthright discussion of the basic information. I trust your assessment. I hope our county can be saved by our constitution and the rule of law.

  11. Thank you Tor Browser, Tor Network and VPN! How else can we circumvent Darren IP blocks?

  12. Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler & Chuck Schumer won’t like those numbers.

    Keep on commenting!

  13. JT’s site has become one of my go-to’s for analysis on the events of the day. I don’t always agree, of course, but I always see the effort Jonathon Turley makes to tell what he believes is the truth based on Constitutional principles and the law. I now cite what Turley says as often as I do what others have to say on a given topic. I look forward to the next 19,000 posts.

  14. As to Judge Sullivan, and just like that, the judge became the prosecutor.

    1. Judge Sullivan is the personification of the rationale adopted by the American Founders for inclusion of impeachment and conviction in the Constitution.

  15. Thank you for being honest and following the law and Constitution even when it isn’t popular! But, from your numbers I guess it’s more popular then the media will tell! 🤔🙂🤗

        1. Be thankful we dont have to pay the medical bills for flaming Peter Shill and his dozen or so personalities
