Got God? Trump Claims Biden Opposes The Almighty

300px-god2-sistine_chapelFor many years, I have written columns denouncing faith-based politics of both Republican and Democratic Presidents.  None however have gone quite as far as President Donald Trump yesterday when he declared that Joe Biden is “against God.” It sounds a bit like a constructive divine endorsement. It is certainly the ultimate expression of the faith-based politics that I have long opposed.

Here is what Trump declared:

“He’s following the radical left agenda, take away your guns, destroy your 2nd Amendment, no religion, no anything, hurt the Bible, hurt God. He’s against God. He’s against guns. He’s against energy, our kind of energy. I don’t think he’s going to do too well in Ohio.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden responded “For President Trump to attack my faith is shameful.”

To be accurate, he was not attacking Biden’s faith. It was much worse than that.  He was suggesting that a vote for Biden is a vote against God.  In other words, Biden could be entirely faithful but he is a tool of the Devil. I doubt Biden would find much solace in the distinction.

I can only state again the dangerous demagoguery that comes from faith-based politics. In a nation that believes in the separation of church and state, such claims erode our secular tradition of government. We have seen countries with long and fierce secular traditions like Turkey taken over by religious orthodoxy after faith-based politics led to religious indoctrination (Erdogan actually claimed when he first ran that he would respect the secular traditions of Turkey).

I do not for a moment believe that we can become the next Turkey.  Moreover, there is always a legitimate element of faith in political viewpoints.  For example, many people support some laws or policies out of their religious convictions like the opposing to abortion. However, this is raw and direct use of religion is meant to paint an opponent as against God himself.

I do not see either Trump or Biden as particularly religious figures and cannot imagine the faithful taking religious pointers from either man.  However, this is wrong.  It is unfair to Biden. It is harmful to our political discourse.  It is antithetical to our constitutional values.

Besides, if God took a position on our earthy contests, he would never have allowed the Royals to beat the Cubs 13-2 last night.  That hurt God, but he has left it to the rest of us to judge.

What I said before the 2008 election holds true today:

“The religiosity in the current campaigns represents an important choice by those candidates who chose sectarian over secular values in government.Obama strongly chastised people who objected to the religiosity that has become the norm in American politics. ‘Secularists,’ he insisted, ‘are wrong when they ask believers to leave their religion at the door before entering into the public square.’ But ‘believers’ are equally wrong to refuse to answer questions of their beliefs once they cross that political river Jordan and begin to proselytize for the presidency. After all, in 2 Corinthians 13:5, the faithful are instructed to ‘examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.’ Perhaps, by testing the politically pious, we can all hope for a degree of enlightenment in this election.”

  1. Trump: He’s following the radical left agenda … no religion

Turley: To be accurate, he was not attacking Biden’s faith. It was much worse than that. He was suggesting that a vote for Biden is a vote against God.

Both Trump and Turley are right. It depends on what one means by “radical left agenda”. Presumably, Trump sees Biden as having been hijacked by the Sanders/AOC wing of the Democrat party which at the very least puts them in or very near the Marxist ideology which shuns religion. Turley apparently does not see the “radical left agenda” as having gone that far. Trump, Biden and Turley need to define “radical left”.

    1. olesmith, the AOC-Sanders wing lost the primary and it wasn’t close. Only in your world does the loser dictate terms, and especially before a contest which will be played on the 50 yard line, not the 20.

      1. You state,”Only in your world does the loser dictate term….,” Have you forgotten the Mr. Biden was totally out of funds and losing to other democratic candidates which are the sign of a defeated, or as you state loser, candidate, and now with the backing of the international bankers who control the congress and their American minions have poured almost a million dollars into his campaign to make him president. Wall St. is backing up Biden due to his good standing with Wall street banks.

We need men like Andrew Jackson, Abe Lincoln, and John F. Kennedy who made effort to kill the Federal Reserve or private credit monopoly, and enrich the working people of our country. But since the international banking empire is all over the world, with trillions of dollars to end any opposition, and with their control of the mass media psychologically controlling the mines of citizens, insuring that it is done by keeping SODIUM FLORIDE in our water system- a la Nazi’s or what Hitler did to the German people to insure they became docile, how can we, the American people, ever have the resources to change THEIR system. With their financial power only God Almighty can save us, the American poor class. I don’t mention MIDDLE CLASS for many working people don’t have the time to learn of the financial levels of our society, but I do,RETIRED. How can one call themselves middle class when the next class is the upper class, and i’m leaving out lower middle and upper middle, which means having an annual income of, today,78K to 278K.

Now, how can one say he or she is middle class when the upper class members have 1 billion to 50 plus billions of dollars and assets! THAT IS A LAUGH! BUT THE PEOPLE IN CONTROL KEEP THAT POOR CLASS THINKING THEY ARE MIDDLE CLASS DUE TO THEIR 278K. So 95% of us in our country, the USA, are just plain POOR!! The 1% wouldn’t be caught dead in our neighborhoods. And, again, they must simply laugh in their Treasure Island homes worth 20 to 40 million plus in San Francisco when they see our cookie cutter homes in Sacramento and East Los Angeles.

In conclusion, MONEY HUNGRY PERSONS MAINLY INTERNATIONAL BANKERS AND THEIR AMERICAN MINIONS CONSPIRED TO TAKE OVER OUR TREASURY IN 1913, THUS TAKE OUR COUNTRY’S WEALTH FOR THEIR OWN, AND, AGAIN, THROUGH CITIZEN’S UNITED INSURED THAT THEY COULD FULLY OWN THE UNITED STATE CONGRESS, AND INSURE THAT NO ONE EVER AUDITS THE FEDERAL RESERVE, NOT EVEN THE CONGRESS ITSELF.

  2. China will invest $400 Billion in Iran for a 25 year secret deal and will be able to exploit Iran’s mineral wealth including oil. Iran is now becoming a colony of China for only $400 Billion.

Obama provided Iran with $150 Billion and got nothing. But Iran was able to maintain its status as the biggest supporter of state sponsored terrorism.

Truman spent $140 Billion in todays currency to help rebuild post-war Europe.

Compare the expenditures and one can easily note that Obama was one of the worst leaders in our nation’s history. …And now some of the most ignorant want us to put up with Joe Biden.

    1. Allan the dunce misstates the facts. Obama released Iranian money which we had held since 1979 and in return got Iran’s compliance with a treaty to keep them from producing nuclear weapons, a compliance detailed by AEIA inspectors permanently on the ground in Iran and verified by US and Israeli intelligence. Trump gave that away and got nothing in return, much like his public blow job to Kim Il Jong, who has continued producing and testing rockets.

          1. If you wish to choose that money was free and clear from any dispute do so. No one can help a person with this type of ignorance. You toss around words like “siezed illegally” without knowning much about the siezure or the law.

            1. in a new C-SPAN survey released Friday.

Friday? As in Friday, February 17, 2017? That Friday. Keep rummaging around, you might find something that put him GOAT. I found a Siena College survey from 2018 (Google page 1) that had him 17th, behind LBJ. All bets are off until the book is actually closed on the Obama administration. Tick…tick…tick…

                  1. Your statement, Olly, just above mine in the email stated ‘in response to Allan’. I couldn’t figure out if your statement was directed to me or not and what it referred to, thus the ?.

    2. Obama was one of the worst leaders in our nation’s history.

I doubt time’s gonna burnish his reputation, but I’d wait about 40 years before I’d make categorical utterances of that nature.

      1. Recognizing that one needs time to deeply analyze how good or bad a president was, we are here now and sometimes one provides a preliminary answer. We have a lot of data to deal with and too much of it is negative. In 40 years this nation may not exist as the Constitutional Republic intended and if it doesn’t exist I think a finger will point directly to Obama.

        1. “Historians have ranked Barack Obama the 12th best president of all time, the highest rated since President Ronald Reagan, in a new C-SPAN survey released Friday.

          Here are the full rankings:

          1. Abraham Lincoln
          2. George Washington
          3. Franklin Delano Roosevelt
          4. Teddy Roosevelt
          5. Dwight Eisenhower
          6. Harry Truman
          7. Thomas Jefferson
          8. John F. Kennedy
          9. Ronald Reagan
          10. Lyndon Johnson
          11. Woodrow Wilson
          12. Barack Obama……”

          1. Do you know how foolish you sound? You sink your teeth into whatever provides you confirmation bias. Then that material goes through your eyes to your fingers skipping the brain. You then automatically press “Post Comment” for all to see and don’t even know enough to be embarrassed.

            1. “You sink your teeth into whatever provides you confirmation bias. Then that material goes through your eyes to your fingers skipping the brain. ”

              Allen is describing himself.

              1. Anonymous the Stupid is wagging his tail at the feet of btb. I think he is looking for a tree.

          2. Anon – I think Wilson and FDR are going to get “cancelled” in the vote.

          3. The inanity of this has been pointed out to him again and again. No serious historian would respond to such a ‘survey’.

          4. This is a matter of opinion book. I don’t think Obama was that bad as many of my Republican friends do, but putting him right below Wilson and Johnson is perplexing. How he could have even come close to the major impact that either one of them had is beyond me.

Not to say I liked LBJ or Wilson, but they were very, very consequential.

I would say Bill Clinton was more consequential than Obama by far. If only for his whole hearted support for free trade, that blessed President Trump is trying to fix, and for locking up so many criminals. Now, i hear BLM doesnt like that, but, it may have had a big impact on lowering the crime rate in the interim.

The fact that President Monroe is not near the top is also perplexing. Monroe helped conquer this continent for our people! Ever heard of the Monroe doctrine?

Oh i get it… more political correctness. Some people think that was “bad” even though their abundant lives here in America are a consequence of it.

            1. The appearance of Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, and Woodrow Wilson on the list is another indicator that C-SPAN did not get ahold of serious people. Kennedy performed well in October 1962, but otherwise his accomplishments are things on the order of corrupting the Secret Service in the course of getting trim from Mimi Alford and a cast of thousands. Both Johnson and Wilson were the authors of disasters.

  3. Does Biden oppose God? I think God is trying to tell Biden something. You and the democrats behind you will be exposed for the cheating you wish to do.

Half a million incorrect absentee ballot applications sent across Virginia, including to dead people

“Approximately half a million applications sent to eligible voters in Virginia included incorrect information, and we are working diligently to address the issues,” says the Center for Voter Information

  4. The Democratic Party position is that Abortion is fine up until 9 months, full term or if a baby is born because the abortion failed. If the baby is born alive from a failed abortion the Democrat party says it is fine to kill the baby! One of Joe Biden’s main supporters is Planned Parenthood whose main business believe it or not isn’t abortions, but selling the body parts of babies aborted. Joe Biden supports all of that!! Any person who has committed their life to the Lord could never ever vote for someone who thinks killing babies is just fine. What we do look at though as Christians is to discern one’s stand about the Sanctity of Life!! The Democrat’s Governor’s today revealed their position on life, not only of the Unborn or Born babies, but also the Elderly!! These Governor’s knowingly put Covid-19 infected patients in Nursing Homes. I’m sure they aren’t that stupid not to know what they are doing!! By this act they have sentenced many of those patients to death in those Nursing Homes. This is only happening in states with Democratic Governor’s. Joe Biden is in agreement with the Democratic party’s condoning of killing of innocent lives!! Any Christian who’s committed their life to the Lord could never ever vote for that. Yes, we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God and God is our judge, but a wise person discerns one’s actions as well!

    1. There are many more then most would know that believe the same as you & I do.

      1. Aside from everything else I believe in I believe in big hunks of Iron on rubber with an oversized cam that at 80, punched, can lay rubber back over onto the hood. On a track of course;)

        What a pretty sound.

    2. Does your God tell you “thou shalt not bear false witness”?
SMH that you say “Yes, we have all sinned” while you’re choosing to sin by bearing false witness in your comment.

    3. “One of Joe Biden’s main supporters is Planned Parenthood ”

Margaret Sanger is an icon of the left. Until recently she was vigerously defended by the leftists on this blog denying anything said about her that was bad. However in true leftist tradition once the man above says something different they change their tune not recognizing how inconsistant they are.

“The removal of Margaret Sanger’s name from our building is both a necessary and overdue step to reckon with our legacy and acknowledge Planned Parenthood’s contributions to historical reproductive harm within communities of color,” __Karen Seltzer,

      1. Some quotes on Margaret Sanger:

“Sanger wrote, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Neg.ro population. Yet she was the creator of an initiative called the “Neg.ro Project,” which sought to limit, if not eliminate, black births.””

One should map out the walking time to get to the fast majority of Planned Parenthood Clinics.

” As recent as 2014, Planned Parenthood was handing out the “PPFA Margaret Sanger Award,” which the abortion giant has called its “highest honor.” The recipient that year was U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who has praised Sanger on more than one occasion, saying, “I admire Margaret Sanger enormously … her courage, her tenacity, her vision. When I think about what [Sanger] did all those years ago in Brooklyn, I am really in awe of her.””

Yes the most prominent democrat leaders praise the person who wished to limit the births of black american children.

  5. Oh, Biden’s against God, alright!

He learned it from the eminently ineligible, atheistic communist Obama.

    To wit,

OBAMA ON SMALL-TOWN PENNSYLVANIA – BITTER CLINGERS, GUNS, RELIGION AND XENOPHOBIA

Referring to working-class voters in old industrial towns decimated by job losses, the candidate Barack Hussein Obama said:

“They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

  7. News This Morning:

Sexual Misconduct Suit Can Proceed Against ‘Godly’ Trump

A New York judge has rejected President Trump’s bid to temporarily halt proceedings in a lawsuit filed against him by the writer E. Jean Carroll, who has accused him of rape, a ruling that allows the case to move forward in the months before the presidential election.

The decision was a victory for Ms. Carroll, who sued Mr. Trump last November for defamation after he called her a liar and said he had never met her. She published a memoir last summer that accused Mr. Trump of attacking her in a department store dressing room in Manhattan in the 1990s.

Lawyers for Mr. Trump had sought to put the lawsuit on hold while an appeals court is deciding whether to dismiss a similar lawsuit filed against Mr. Trump by Summer Zervos, a former contestant on “The Apprentice” who has accused him of sexually assaulting her.

In their bid for a delay, the lawyers also said the Constitution gave a sitting president immunity against civil lawsuits in state court.

On Thursday, Justice Verna L. Saunders in New York rejected their arguments, pointing to a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that concluded Mr. Trump could not block a subpoena for his tax returns by the Manhattan district attorney’s office.

The Supreme Court ruling determined that the president did not possess absolute immunity against state criminal subpoenas.

Although that ruling pertained to a criminal investigation, Justice Saunders wrote that the same legal question was relevant to Ms. Carroll’s lawsuit — “whether the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution bars a state court from exercising jurisdiction over a sitting President of the United States during his term.”
“No, it does not,” Justice Saunders wrote.
She said the Supreme Court’s ruling applied to “all state court proceedings in which a sitting president is involved,” including those involving the president’s unofficial or personal conduct.

Edited from: “E Jean Carroll, Who Accused Trump Of Rape, Can Go Forward With Suit”

    Today’s New York Times

    1. Good.

He shouldn’t be protected from these suits while in office, as this information is relevant to the electorate. (For that matter, the OLC opinion protecting a president from criminal indictment also needs to be overturned, or at the very least, there needs to be a law that allows the statute of limitations to toll while the person is in office.)

Looking forward to Trump being deposed. Given how much he lies, it will be hard for him not to commit perjury. Carroll is also seeking a DNA sample to check against a sample from the dress she wore.

    2. Good thing the Confederates didn’t know that about our Constitution. Maybe they would have just subpoenaed and sued Lincoln to death instead of going to war huh?

In those days they were more forthright in their approaches to political conflict.

Mr Lincoln resolved the political questions in the way which they always have been, and will be settled, in the end.

      1. And this is why the Lincoln Memorial prominently displays many fasces– bundles of rods, symbol of Roman authority

“out of many, one” — a potent symbol of any sort of federation

        https://www.nps.gov/nama/blogs/secret-symbol-of-the-lincoln-memorial.htm

“Daniel Chester French’s “Abraham Lincoln” prominently depicts fasces. (NPS)

In ancient times, fasces were a Roman symbol of power and authority, a bundle of wooden rods and an axe bound together by leather thongs. Fasces represented that a man held imperium, or executive authority. Exercising imperium, a Roman leader could expect his orders to be obeyed, could dole out punishment, and could even execute those who disobeyed. The fasces he carried symbolized this power in two ways: the rods suggest punishment by beating, the axe suggests beheading. On its surface, the fasces imply power, strength, authority, and justice. Depicted throughout the Lincoln Memorial, the fasces mean all this and more.

As one approaches the Lincoln Memorial from the plaza below, he or she passes by the first of these fasces at the base of the main stairs. The carving is easily missed even though it is more than ten feet tall, but to miss it is to miss the introduction to the theme of the memorial. There on the end of the wall is a carving of rods with an axe bound by a leather thong, the classic Roman fasces. The fasces indicate the power and authority of the state over the citizens, commanding respect. But there is a twist. A bald eagle’s head sits atop the axe, an American touch on an ancient Roman symbol. Adding to the American-ness, there are thirteen rods shown in the fasces, suggesting the thirteen original states that achieved independence from Britain and formed the United States. Seen as symbols of the states, and the American motto “E Pluribus Unum,” or “Out of Many, One,” the rods bound together suggest the union of the states and their bond by the Constitution. Each state is weaker individually, but together, they are stronger. This concept is so important that it is presented long before visitors reach the building itself and see the representation of the Savior of the Union.

Fasces at the base of the Lincoln Memorial steps depict the axe, an eagle, and thirteen bound rods. (NPS)

The structure itself echoes and amplifies the idea of a strong union. By architect Henry Bacon’s design, the perimeter of the Lincoln Memorial boasts 36 Doric columns representing the 36 states in the union Lincoln fought to preserve. The names and admission year of these states are engraved above the marble columns, the years not coincidentally shown in Roman numerals. The Lincoln Memorial is physically held up by the columns, standing strong because all the columns are working together. Without each column, the building would fall, just as the nation would fall without all its states. This concept of the memorial was incorporated into an object you may have in your pocket right now. Pennies minted between 1959 and 2008 depict the Lincoln Memorial on the reverse with the words “E Pluribus Unum” above the memorial. The implication is that the entire structure is a representation of the fasces, a representation of strength through unity, a monument not only to Lincoln but to the Union itself.

  8. You are over-thinking this, Turley, if you think that Trump was doing anything other than pandering to Evangelicals, or that he just happened to be an a washing machine factory in Ohio when he said those outrageous things. His accusation that Biden was “against God” was nothing more than the frantic raving of a pathetic narcissist who is behind in the polls, just like the claim that there will be a vaccine ready before November 3rd (as if anyone in their right mind would take a vaccine that was fast-tracked) because we’ve all seen how Trump bullies professionals, like lawyers and doctors, to get them to say and do things he thinks will help him politically. Think Bill Barr, who lied about the contents of the Mueller Report, and who intervened in the Flynn prosecution. You think he wouldn’t threaten people at the FDA if they didn’t approve some vaccine, regardless of whether it was sufficiently tested or even effective? When doctors don’t knuckle under, they get sidelined, like Dr. Fauci, or called “pathetic” like Dr. Birx (she IS pathetic, though). His administration went after Lt. Col. Vindman for telling the truth, instead of lying for him. He also mispronounced Thailand as “thigh-land”, which sounds like a club for people with a thigh fetish, while during the same speech he accused Biden of mistaking where he was when he gave various speeches. It’s like his calling “Yosemite” “yo-sem-ight” twice.

I agree with those who have opined that Biden should not debate Trump until Trump turns over his financials. Biden and all of the other Democratic candidates have done so, and we all know that Trump is going to attack Biden’s family, especially his son, Hunter, accusing them of being on the take, so we need those financials.

    1. That fat slob isn’t “our” anything. Most Americans: 1. did NOT vote for him; 2. will NOT vote for him in November; 3. have disapproved of him, by historic margins and for an historic length of time; and 4. want him gone.

Every single day, we see the devastation that can happen when the power of the Presidency is given to someone who is seriously mentally ill with narcissism. People are literally dying because of him. He downplayed the coronavirus risk because he thinks he can bluster and bully his way out of everything. His disciples treat wearing masks as a political issue. The economy is in shambles and will take years to recover. He stands by and does nothing while Russians are paying bounties for killing US service men and women. The pandemic is raging out of control, and yet this person demands that schools open only for in-person classes or federal aid will be withheld.

      1. Nat,

I have no idea why you are such a liar & supporting satan, his damned commie agents & all your/ pedo friends, but good luck with that whole burning in hell issue.

But it’s become very easy for most people to read right through you & your commie/fascist friends writings as just about everything claim is the exact opposite.

And why haven’t you people said anything about New York’s gov & AG James causing the deaths of around 10,000 elderly by moving known sick people into those nursing homes against the advice of the doctors in charge there & threatening them with jail if they didn’t comply????

All this Scum you hang with makes me think the USA would be better off dealing with the Russians then you people.

        1. Oky1 better check the news, the Russians are working with Trump to get reelected.

    2. whatever alex jones interprets that to me, I take it to mean that war with China is imminent. The ban on Chinese apps is a major escalation.

Maybe the “accident” in Beiruit was not an accident, either. We shall see.

      1. Students of major disasters remember the 1947 Texas City detonation in which 2,300 tons of ammonium nitrate exploded when the captain of the ship containing the explosive ordered the ammonium nitrate to be exposed to live steam to put out a fire in the ship’s cargo hold. This accomplished the opposite and set off an explosion.

The location of the ammonium nitrate in Beirut was known to a Russian businessman who walked away from the cargo when he wen’t bankrupt. Nothing about the Beirut explosion passes the smell test. The ammonium nitrate and other chemicals which could have acted as a “bridging charge” for the Beirut blast were assembled where they could do the worst harm. I don’t think this event was accidental.

We don’t have the data to draw further conclusions.

        1. loupgarous – there is a report that either there was a fireworks facility next door or fireworks was stored with the ammonium nitrate. There is a photo of firefighters getting ready to go into the building just before it blew up.

    3. Oky1, infowars? Really? Maybe trump is one of those lizard people who are among us too. I mean he has a lot of trouble pronouncing words lizard people don’t normally say. It could be a sign that trump is not one of us 😲

    1. Phyllis, God isnt the problem. It’s the people presuming to speak for him. They tend to be a problem everywhere.

  9. I have a different take on the President’s comments (or is expressing this view going to be suppressed because it lends a little more credence to the ideas attempted to be expressed? It is a fact that citizens out here are afraid to speak their beliefs. This censorship is being done on purpose as has been done for four years) The comments that are in your article by the President begin with comments made toward the leftist agenda. This is exactly what everyone out here have been waiting for to truly assess VP Biden. I received a degree in “Government and Politics” from St John’s University many moons ago. There were several individuals that I was interested in, in Congress, that I would follow to gauge the political spectrum during a period in our country. Senator Lugar, Newt Gingrich, Tip O’Neil,Joe Biden, John McCain, and so many more. Joe Biden’s history in Congress is just that. Joe Biden was never in the political spectrum as far left. For as long as I can remember Joe Biden was a typical political creature (I say this with respect to the essence of politics) except he was known for his gaffes that would surprise, but make me laugh, every time he came out with one. He was always jovial and that defined his demeanor when he addressed something as a Congressman. So here is my point. The President appears to be challenging Mr. Biden to reveal his true self. It is a challenge to see if he truly is going to follow the far left agenda, which Is not close to his beliefs throughout his career. He is considering whether he should participate in Presidential debates or not, according to who has the most influence to sway his decision to debate. The President knows Mr. Biden does not lean far left but knows he is doing it out of political expediency. So I think, though criticizing an individuals faith is wrong, it is a challenge to Mr. Biden to show his true political colors. The running joke that Mr. Biden is being kept in the basement rings true because who is pulling his strings and with what true agenda. Will Mr. Biden revert back to his true political identity or will he “hide out” until November 4th so as to not to allow people to judge him as a candidate and his veracity? For so long in this country religion has been put through the ringer. For years there has been assault on religion to rid it from daily life, and especially in the political arena. You’re a Constitutional scholar, the Constitution is supposed to protect an individuals expression of his or her faith? It does not exist to ban religion from everything, as has been tried for many years. So it is a challenge, which is still not certain, that Mr. Biden put his views on the debate stage so that we can see for ourselves. Not through the eyes of the far left movement that is attempting to shred our history as a country and define it as evil (or in your expression, doing the devils bidding). So it is a dichotomy that the challenge is toward Mr Biden to prove himself and see if he will continue alongside the angry and hateful rhetoric being put out these past four years and represent the far left views. The likes of whom he has chosen, though off the cuff for political expediency, to be part of his Cabinet is telling. Francis O’Rorke wants to take away guns, Bernie Sanders is a devout socialist, AOC is just way too young and naive, Kamala Harris assaults people for her own good, the list goes on. So if the President challenges Joe Biden to see what path he chooses to walk then Mr Biden’s choice could be an assault against God’s teaching (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you). We seem to lack this insight during this time. Joe Biden is being challenged by all citizens to decide whether he stands by his actual self or the evil in this world that is strangling the peaceful life that the common citizen wants to lead. He needs to choose, one path can be an affront against God. It is his choice and he needs to define for us his choice. There is less than a hundred days left.

  10. it should not be difficult but rational to conclude that an individual who does not support or stays neutral on a matter of faith is against that matter. Even deeper, Biden expresses support for a practice that contradicts his professed faith. I should think he has proselyte before he arrives at his River Jordan.

Looking at Nigeria and the toll of islam, I like the secularist argument of leaving your faith to yourself in public discourse. But honestly i agree its dangerous on the long run. I think its time Every nation should agree on some common grounds on matters of faith that impact public discourse. The philosophy of religious tolerance is quite confusing.

Just maybe political principles should be driven by most commonly accepted custom and values of a people

  11. Trump is to good of a con-man, he knew what he said was to his base of evangelicals. Biden is Catholic, and evangelicals don’t think that Catholics are Christians. Trump has and will say anything and he knows his supporters will believe it.

    1. One might disagree with Trump but his supporters believe him because unlike Biden, Obama, and Hillary Trump kept his campaign promises or tried to do so. Your favorites lied, lied and lied.

  12. God spelled backwards is dog. If you don’t believe in dog then you probably don’t have one and don’t communicate with them.

      1. Committed to Knowing Noting:

        “Yup, Trump is evil.”
        ************************

I think Lucifer made the same statement about the Good in Paradise Lost:

“So farewel Hope, and with Hope farewel Fear,
        Farewel Remorse: all Good to me is lost;
Evil be thou my Good; by thee at least
Divided Empire with Heav’ns King I hold
        By thee, and more then half perhaps will reigne;
As Man ere long, and this new World shall know.”

        Milton, Paradise Lost, Lines 108-113

Knew I’d find it. You’re statement is thus peer-reviewed!

        1. Mespo, you continue to project your weaknesses onto others. If you’re going to accuse someone of “Knowing Noting [sic],” you might want to avoid typos like that and “You’re [sic] statement,” along with your misunderstanding of peer review.

          1. Committed to Trifles:

“Mespo, you continue to project your weaknesses onto others. If you’re going to accuse someone of “Knowing Noting [sic],” you might want to avoid typos like that and “You’re [sic] statement,” along with your misunderstanding of peer review.”

When I’ve got you down to policing grammar and typing, I haven’t just won, I’ve conquered. You’re in the clerk status you so are richly qualified for and little else. You’ve got that Monty Python Black Knight kinda vibe going, too.

            1. Mespo, it’s unsurprising that you falsely dismiss your misunderstanding of peer review as a matter of “grammar and typing,” and the sole reason I noted your typos was because of the irony.

Your endless stream of juvenile insults and self-congratulation says a great deal about you. No wonder you like Trump.

              1. Mespo was commented to me that I must be working on my Magna Opus and I laughed for several days over it.

                1. *once

Should’ve put Big Mess’ handy work in quotes as well, as in “Magna Opus”.

Maybe as an alpha male admirer Mespo thinks of other things around the word ‘magnum’ and so the mistake came naturally?

                2. “Mespo was commented to me that I must be working on my Magna Opus and I laughed for several days over it.”

                Humor always escapes the humorless.

                1. That someone’s sense of humor is different than yours doesn’t make them humorless:

                    1. I wouldn’t call you humorless, but if you want to describe yourself that way, so be it.

        2. Mespo, who are trying to kid?? Trump was a shameless playboy who ‘grabbed women by the pussy’. Trump has probably never set foot in a church. God would be embarrassed to have Trump speak for him.

        3. Mespo, speaking of “knowing notin”,

“ I think Lucifer made the same statement about the Good in Paradise Lost”

Did you know Jesus is referred to as Lucifer too. The term “Lucifer” is Latin for light bearer. The more you know 🌈.

      2. “Trump is evil.”

        The economy skyrocketted.
        Blacks had the lowest unemployment
        Hispanics had the lowest unemployment.
etc. but restroom Com thinks that is evil but rioting, looting and killing is what restroom Com considers good.

        1. Alan, Com thinks no such thing. It’s just ‘you’, a nasty old fool, trying to define Con.

          1. Seth, Allan’s a troll.

He’s invented scenarios where he imagines me being “sexually arroused [sic]” by violence and destruction (https://jonathanturley.org/2020/06/23/protesters-topple-bust-of-george-washington-at-george-washington-university/comment-page-1/#comment-1969754), and the comment you replied to isn’t the first time he’s imagined me in bathrooms: “This poster might as well get her information off the walls of the men’s bathroom.” (https://jonathanturley.org/2020/08/04/turley-testifies-in-senate-on-antifa-and-the-anti-free-speech-movement-in-the-united-states/comment-page-1/#comment-1986672). He’s not a well person.

            1. “he imagines me…”

I don’t imagine you anything except in the men’s bathroom at a truckstop copying information from the walls. I could imagine far worse things but the way you acted with regard to Flynn was sickening and demonstrated a sick mind that places individuals in jeopardy just because they don’t agree with your ideology.

Your hateful comments and apparent affinity for violence made think about what type of person you were at which point I said “it sounds like…”. If there is another explanation for your hateful manner let us know.

I don’t like people that lie sending people all over the Internet and then don’t appologize. You did this with Flynn and most people can remember that. You have done that time and time again so you have heard similar comments frequently.

By the way I wonder where you came up with the idea that “Trump apparently didn’t even know what occurred at Pearl Harbor”. There is no quote that showed that. An author of a hit piece created your delusion and he might have been the one to write it on the bathroom wall so fools like you could read it.

              “He’s not a well person.”

Are you now going to pretend that you are a doctor? I’m a realist so I put into real terms what you look like.

              1. Allan demonstrates what kind of person he is right here. There is no need to imagine anything.

                1. “Allan demonstrates what kind of person he is right here.”

That is so kind to recognize that I am a decent guy and throw the sh1t back that is thrown all over the blog. Thank you.

                2. Agreed, by the book, Allan shows right there that he’s a sick troll.

He dishonestly pretends “I wonder where you came up with the idea that ‘Trump apparently didn’t even know what occurred at Pearl Harbor,’” despite the fact that the comment of mine that he’s quoting from — https://jonathanturley.org/2020/08/04/turley-testifies-in-senate-on-antifa-and-the-anti-free-speech-movement-in-the-united-states/comment-page-1/#comment-1986346 (which of course he doesn’t link to) — makes explicit where I got the idea, because I linked in my comment to an article about the book that reported it, “A Very Stable Genius” by Philip Rucker and Carol Leonnig.

Allan focuses on the article’s author (“An author … he might have been the one to write it on the bathroom wall”) instead of the book’s co-authors, one of whom is a woman, as “he” better fits Allan’s sick desire to imagine a woman reading the walls of men’s bathrooms.

And he hypocritically complains “There is no quote that showed that” (though both the article and book do include a reported quote), while simultaneously alleging things about me like “the way you acted with regard to Flynn was sickening” but not himself presenting any “quote that showed that” — much less does he link to my actual comments about Flynn, so that anyone who wants can read the exchange for themselves in context.

                  1. NeedsToBeCommitted (CTBC), are you feeling the pinch? You should. You keep repeating the same things but if people just look a little further they can see that what I have said is reasonable and at best what you have said is a mistake or more likely a lie.

You slandered another, not based on what he said but what another wanted you to hear. Not smart, but we do not expect much better from your kind. I didn’t bother to check out the sex of the one writing the book but I see you have a strange interest in figuring out whether it could have been a woman or a man writing on the bathroom walls the one’s you might as well be reading based on the content.

Why do I need to quote what you said to me and others about Flynn and how you sent people on a wild goose chase. You have no credibility and your credibility gets worse everytime you post.

I do like the fact that you are trying to elevate your persona on the blog by pretending to be a doctor ,”he’s a sick troll.”. You would make a lousy doctor because they have to deal with facts and reality two things you are unable to deal with.

              2. I don’t like people that lie sending people all over the Internet and then don’t appologize. You did this with Flynn and most people can remember that.

                1. Most people also remember that Flynn himself lied to the court about the interview with the FBI.

And now both Flynn and the DOJ are working their butts off to keep from having a court hearing where they will be asked to explain why the DOJ and Flynn were both lying to the court for all those years.

                  1. “remember that Flynn himself lied to the court about the interview with the FBI.”

Since you know this exists the lie should be on a transcript. You obviously believe you have seen it so why not copy the lie and provide some context.

                    1. “remember that Flynn himself lied to the court about the interview with the FBI.”

Since you know this exists the lie should be on a transcript.
                      ___________________________________________________________
Of course there is a transcript of the court hearings and there is also a statement of offense that Flynn swore was true and correct. These documents have been shown to you already and your usual response has been to evade.
There were two court hearings (on 12/1/17 and 12/18/18) in which Flynn swore to the court that he lied to the FBI. Flynn’s sworn statements in court contradicted the assessment by the FBI that said they believed Flynn did not lie. Without Flynn’s help there was no possibility that the govt could make a case against Flynn.

Flynn himself admits that what he had told the court for years was not true in the sworn affidavit he submitted to the court last January (1/29/20)

You can go to the link below and read all the documents but I expect you will dance away and evade as you always do…

                      https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/6234142/united-states-v-flynn/

                    2. Since you have the documents in your hands I await you to copy the quote of Flynn’s lie significant to his prosecution.

The only one dancing is you. Prove your point.

                    3. Since you have the documents in your hands I await you to copy the quote of Flynn’s lie significant to his prosecution.
                      ________________________________________________________________________

Stop dancing. You know I don’t have the documents in my hands but I did just give you a link where they can be found.

The false statement that Flynn made in the Statement of the Offense is :
“I have read every word of this Statement of the Offense, or have had it read to me. Pursuant to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 11, after consulting with my attorneys, I agree and stipulate to this Statement of the Offense, and declare under penalty of perjury that it is true and correct.”
                      https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/6234142/4/united-states-v-flynn/#pdf

In the transcripts of the court hearings you will also find similar lies made by Flynn.

Without those lies by Flynn there was no chance of prosecuting Flynn because the FBI investigators were on the record as saying they believed Flynn was not lying or being deceptive in that Jan. 24 interview.

                    4. The false statement that Flynn made is of course there. Allan is just dancing and evading like he always does

The following is the false statement in full that Flynn made in the Statement of Offense:

” I make this statement knowingly and voluntarily and because I am, in fact, guilty of the crime charged. No threats have been made to me nor am I under the influence of anything that could impede my ability to understand this Statement of the Offense fully.

I have read every word of this Statement of the Offense, or have had it read to me. Pursuant to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 11, after consulting with my attorneys, I agree and stipulate to this Statement of the Offense, and declare under penalty of perjury that it is true and correct.”

                    5. That is not the statement that led to the prosecution. This game has been played over and over again and you are travelling in the same rut as all the others.

I wil repeat what I said earlier: ” I await you to copy the quote of Flynn’s lie significant to his prosecution.

                    6. That is not the statement that led to the prosecution.
                      _________________________________________________________________

Of course that is the only statement that led to Flynn’s prosecution

Without Flynn saying that Mueller’s fictional story about the Jan 24 interview is true and correct there is no possibility of prosecuting Flynn.

The FBI agents that talked to Flynn said that they had the impression that Flynn was not lying and not being deceptive. What jury or court would ever buy the prosecution of Flynn for lying if all three of the people who had personal first hand knowledge of the interview all said that Flynn was not lying?
There is only one reason Flynn was prosecuted and that is because one of the three (Flynn) contradicted the two FBI agents and said that Flynn did make false statements to the FBI. Without Flynn’s help the prosecution does not have a leg to stand on.

                    7. Jinn, if you want to sound like an idiot go ahead. No one is stopping you.

                    8. Is Allan claiming that Flynn did not lie to the court or that the lie that was quoted above does not exist?
Nope, the fact is that when confronted with the truth, Allan’s respinse is dancing and evading.

There is no doubt that Gen. Flynn lied about the Jan 24 FBI interview to two different judges under oath and without those lies by Flynn the Special Prosecutor’s Office had no case against Flynn. The only evidence that the SCO used to prosecute Flynn was Flynn’s false sworn statement.
The only evidence presented in the Mueller Report against Flynn is Flynn’s false sworn statement.
With the two FBI agents who interviewed Flynn saying that they believed Flynn was not lying or being deceptive, there is no possibility of prosecuting Flynn. The only way it could happen is if Flynn helped the SCO and provided the evidence needed to prosecute.

                    9. Flynn was initially prosecuted for a supposed crime. A lot of you guys said he lied during the prosecution or preliminaries and that the lie was documented in the FBI documents. Because you guys stupidly conflated different leftist talking points, one for the intial prosecution and the other withdrawing the plea deal you are maiking fools of yourself.

There was no prosecution for his statement withdrawing the plea deal. If you think there was, show it. If you wish to continue sounding like an idiot you are free to do so.

                    10. Flynn was initially prosecuted for a supposed crime. A lot of you guys said he lied during the prosecution or preliminaries and that the lie was documented in the FBI documents.
                      ___________________________________________________________________________

The FBI documents show that the FBI agents who had all the facts believed Flynn was not lying.
The FBI made it known to the world that they believed Flynn had committed no crime.

                      https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2017/02/16/fbi-michael-flynn-fbi-no-charges-lemon-sot.cnn

The only reason that Flynn was prosecuted was because Flynn provided the evidence. Without Flynn’s help there is no case against Flynn. The SCO did not find any new evidence that the FBI had not already looked at.
Without Flynn providing the evidence to make the prosecution’s case any cheap lawyer could have got him off.

                    11. “The FBI documents show that the FBI agents who had all the facts believed Flynn was not lying.”

                      That is correct.

“The only reason that Flynn was prosecuted was because Flynn provided the evidence.”

The prosecutor prosecutes after the evidence is assembled. Now provide the evidence.

                    12. “The only reason that Flynn was prosecuted was because Flynn provided the evidence.”

The prosecutor prosecutes after the evidence is assembled. Now provide the evidence.
                      ________________________________________________________________________

I already told you that the only evidence presented to the court and the only evidence that was presented in the Mueller report against Flynn is the “Statement of The Offense” which Flynn swore to the court was true and correct. There is no other evidence that was used to prosecute Flynn.
Without Flynn providing the evidence by lying to the court about what happened in the Jan. 24 interview with the FBI, the prosecution has no case against Flynn.

The prosecution would not even have been able to get an indictment to get the case into court without Flynn first waiving his Constitutional rights and agreeing to provide the evidence for his own prosecution

The evidence that is the basis of the case is this information:

“On or about January 24, 2017, defendant MICHAEL T. FLYNN did willfully and’ knowingly make materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements and representations in a matter within the jurisdiction of the executive branch of the Govenment of the United States, to wit, the defendant falsely stated and represented to agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in Washington, D.C., that:
                      (i) On or about December 29, 20i6, FLYNN did not ask the Govemment ofRussia’s Ambassador to the United States (“Russian Ambassador”) to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions that the United States had imposed against Russia that same day; and FLYNN did not recall the Russian Ambassador subsequently telling him that Russia had chosen to moderate its response to those sanctions as a result of his request; and
(ii) On or about Deeember 22, 2016, FLYNN did not ask the Russian Ambassador to delay the vote on or defeat a pending United Nations Security Council resolution; and that the Russian Ambassador subsequently never described to.FLYNN Russia’s response to his request.”
                      https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.191592/gov.uscourts.dcd.191592.1.0_3.pdf

There was no evidence given to support the above allegation other than Flynn swearing to the court that the Statement of Offense was true and correct. The FBI agents that conducted the interview never claimed that Flynn did what is written above. The FBI agents that were at the interview are on the record as saying that they believed Flynn was not being deceptive and was not lying .

                    13. “which Flynn swore to the court was true and correct. There is no other evidence that was used to prosecute Flynn.”

Take note again that the prosecutor prosecutes after the evidence is assembled.

You say: ““On or about January 24, 2017, defendant MICHAEL T. FLYNN did willfully and’ knowingly make materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements and representations in a matter within the jurisdiction ….“

Now provide us with what Flynn said not what someone else said. Those are the words you and others say are in the FBI files but they don’t exist. You keep saying they do. Provide us with the words stated by Flynn. They would have occurred before the court case was filed.

If you wish to continue to sound like an idiot go ahead. You still haven’t provided the evidence that supposedly is in the FBI files that were released.

                    14. You say: ““On or about January 24, 2017, defendant MICHAEL T. FLYNN did willfully and’ knowingly make materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements and representations in a matter within the jurisdiction ….“
                      ___________________________________________________________________________________

No I did not say that.
That was the information Flynn swore to the court was true and correct.
Flynn was lying to the court.

There was no evidence presented to the court other than Flynn’s admission that he “did willfully and knowingly make materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements and representations” to the FBI.

The FBI never said he did that. In fact the FBI said the opposite. The FBI said they believed he was not lying.

                      https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2017/02/16/fbi-michael-flynn-fbi-no-charges-lemon-sot.cnn

Of the three people who had personal knowledge of what was said in the interview and in the Kislyak phone calls two of them (the 2 FBI agents) said Flynn was not lying. Flynn contradicted what the FBI agents said and told the court that he was guilty of making false statements.

                    15. You sound like an idiot. The question revolves around what was said prior to charges being filed. You can’t handle that so you conflate statements to stroke your own ego.

                    16. I assume Jinn is another Gainesville sock-puppet. Guess business is bad this season.

                2. I see Mr Absurd has joined Allan in dancing and evading.

Allan asked to see the lie that Flynn made.

The lie was when Flynn swore to the court under oath that he had made false statements to the FBI.

I don’t see anybody trying to refute that lie. All I see is Allan (joined now by Mr Absurd) dancing and evading.

Without Flynn’s lie to the court about what was said during the Jan. 24 FBI interview there would be no case called USA v. Flynn. There is no possibility that even an indictment could be made without Flynn helping the prosecution.

                  1. That you can’t get your timing or prosecutorial procedure straight keeps you busy making idiotic statements. You should be asking DSS for help. He has most of these procedural things down pat.

      1. Joe Biden is going to win.

Why are Hank Bug, Mr. Shill et al. so vituperative?

Go. Sit on a beach. Sip Mai Tais. Watch bikinis.

        Don’t worry. Be happy.

    1. And you’re on the side of the guy who paid Stormy to keep quiet about having her spank him with a rolled magazine just after his third wife gave birth. Yay good guys!!

        1. So the one with the cow flop on his head was at the top of his game in his Stormy escapades???

          1. Bug, I don’t know what happened with Stormy. I wasn’t there watching and everything appeared consensual. For all anyone knows nothing happened. Who cares? I guess just talking about it provides you with a vicarious thrill. Up your leg?

Since you want us to know you are in the know you must be a Peeping Tom. Is it more exciting to you than pornography?

            1. Here’s an interview in which she refers to Trump’s micro penis. Enjoy Allan.

                1. Bug , this is your third post on a subject that you are engrossed in. Perhaps you you demonstrate deviant behavior and that you are missing something in your life. Maybe your should pair with NeedsToBeCommitted.

                2. Can someone please explain why her Pupils are massive, theyre so dilated, like Whoa, Stormy.

              1. Bug, I know these things fascinate you but I am not interested. I thought you were a hetero male, but now with your interest in a man’s genetalia I might have to rethink what you are.

                1. Bahahahahahaha! You’re awesome, Allan. You take projection to a whole new level.

          2. Bug,

Personally, I’m less concerned about the sex with Daniels (which seems to have been consensual) than I am about the related illegal acts: the campaign finance law violation and Trump lying about his debt to Cohen on his required presidential financial disclosure form in 2017.

And of course I’m concerned about the many other allegations against Trump for sexual assault and harassment involving other women and teen girls.

            1. Agreed. Trump is a hog. And whether it’s the exploits themselves, or the campaign fraud to cover up his actions, it’s quite rich to see Trump try to call back on ‘god’ and religion in his current campaign of mud slinging.

  13. “he declared that Joe Biden is “against God.””

Joe Biden supporters and donors are burning Bibles and many disparage religion entirely. They are engaging in violent behavior. Biden does nothing and says nothing.

I would have preferred the comment left out or altered but by all appearances the comment is consistent with Biden’s actions.

From what we are seeing too many democrats consider a leftist state their God.

    1. Allan,
“ Joe Biden supporters and donors are burning Bibles and many disparage religion entirely. ”

No they don’t. Disparaging religion is fair game when religion brings up utterly stupid things to reason with. There are plenty of examples to choose from.

      Here’s a good one.

      https://youtu.be/OSIrQBGfUtw

      1. “Is This a Scene From Nazi Germany? No, It’s the Portland ‘Peaceful Protesters’ Burning Bibles
        Tyler O’Neil

YouTube screenshot from Ruptly of antifa rioters burning Bibles in Portland.
On the 63rd night of riots in Portland, antifa rioters set a bonfire in front of the federal courthouse. Since they care so much about the death of George Floyd, they decided to burn Bibles. Seriously, they threw copies of the Bible on the fire.”

Your guy Biden says nothing about the violence, looting, arson, killing and destruction of neighborhoods. That is not leadershp.

        1. Allan, what scene? Where’s the link to the purported video your are referring to?

          1. It’s not from your approved list of media so there is no need for me to place the address. If you want to find it look it up on Google.

  14. My wife and I had a discussion regarding abortion with someone at church (Catholic) a while back. The lady we were speaking with said, “But Biden is Catholic”. My wife rightly pointed out that he supports abortion in the third trimester, the Democrat party line. I don’t believe religion or God play a part in Joe Biden’s life. We can debate whether it plays a part in President Trump’s life but we can’t dispute that his position on abortion is consistent with that of God.

    1. “he supports abortion in the third trimester, the Democrat party line.”

Abortion is generally illegal in the third trimester, and most Democrats agree with that, with rare exceptions, such as for serious risks to the life or health of the mother, occasions where a fetus is diagnosed with a condition like total anencephaly that’s incompatible with life after birth, situations where a woman is carrying triplets and one fetus is endangering the lives of the other two, … Maybe you’d rather that a woman die, or that all three triplets die instead of saving two, but I don’t.

“his position on abortion is consistent with that of God.”

People believe in multiple gods, and I doubt that al of these godsl have the same position on abortion. Perhaps you mean “consistent with my God”?

Frankly, I doubt that Trump cares about abortion. He’s a pathological liar who’ll say whatever he thinks serves him.

      1. I recall seeing the New York legislature break out in cheers when the law was passed legalizing abortion up to the moment of birth. The same law exists in Illinois. When you die you may explain your position to your god.

        1. NY’s law allows abortion if “the patient is within twenty-four weeks from the commencement of pregnancy, or there is an absence of fetal viability, or the abortion is necessary to protect the patient’s life or health.” I’ll leave it to you to quote the IL law.

Maybe you want to force a woman carrying a totally anencephalic fetus to term, only to watch it die after birth, and maybe you want to force a woman whose life is endangered by her pregnancy to risk death. But I don’t. I think these difficult choices should be made by the pregnant woman in consultation with her physician and loved ones.

And I’m an agnostic atheist, so I don’t have any gods.

      2. My mom worked in an Ohio hospital pre Roe vs. Wade. When she and other staff had a woman likely to seek a cheap abortion in Cincinnati or Indianapolis get on their radar they’d pool together their own money to send her to NY for a safe and healthy one. They did it for two reasons mainly: a) if they didn’t, she’d likely end up on their doorstep with a raging infection soon thereafter, and b) they were, acting as their sister’s keeper. You know, like good Christians supposedly pride themselves on.

Believe whatever religious scriptures you want. But until you walk a mile in someone else’s shoes you don’t know all the facts. So feel free to practice your personal moral code yourself…, but don’t force it on others. To all the crusty white men on here so eager to inhabit the uterus of women and make decisions for them, realize the issue of abortion is a women’s rights issue and a public health issue first.

Some things to think of before wishing for Roe vs. Wade to go away…

-taking away the right to choose basically amounts to women of means travelling to other states for their own abortions, while women on the poorer end find themselves unable to afford medical care they need.
-Late term abortions are almost entirely related to drastic circumstances and really don’t happen that much. Women don’t just wake up one day in the third trimester and decide on a whim to get an abortion. Not that far along, anyway.

      3. “He’s a pathological liar who’ll say whatever he thinks serves him.”

What stupidity. He is the type of liar that fills or attempts to fill his campaign promises.

What does that make you? A liar.

    2. So you’ve talked to God? why don’t you examine your own self? Trump grabs ‘em by the pussy, wishes a pimp for a known pedophile well and refuses to acknowledge under aged victims, teen girls forced to have sex!

Trump at Ms. Teen would go into dressing room of teenage girls as they changed outfits—described as creepy old man by contestants. Trump’s description of Epstein, “he likes very young girls…I guess I’m like him…”.

He takes photo ops in front of the Anglican and Catholic Churches; why? He holds the bible upside down—is this equal to a crucifix held upside down?

And this is okay with you?

I guess you’re not Catholic as the abortion and LGBTQ issues have been addressed by Pope Francis (a Jesuit) publicly and in writing. To quote: “…God made all of us and loves us equally…who are we to judge others? To do so is going against the one tenet that God sets forth: love your neighbor as yourself.”

When asked about abortion and taking birth control so she couldn’t get pregnancy, Pope Francis gave the analogy of ‘a woman with 6 children, no husband, no home/shelter, no food to feed her family. She finds out she is pregnant. Do you really think she needs a 7th child?’

Of course many older bishops and cardinals were shocked with the answer but they did retire as they never saw reality of today—families torn apart, forced to emigrate/immigrate, famine, floods, disease, wars, autocrats, drug lords, drugs, lack of healthcare, communist controlled countries, environmental issues, lack of water etc. Jesuits live in the present and future. They believe God gave us science and the tools to help in this ever complex world. Quite a few Jesuits are scientists, doctors, social workers or attorneys. Their help to their brethren exceeds spirituality and prayer. They can render services to the poor and assist them in the here and now or have skills and connections to offer true help and assistance.

      1. I guess if you tell a falsehood often enough it becomes truth. The Pope did not sanction and approve of abortion. He spoke of forgiveness.

Looks like your conscience is clear. Good luck.

  15. I’d welcome a President who protects our religious liberties rather than and Presidential candidate and former VP who actively worked to persecute members of his own faith. Remember the Little Sisters of the Poor Sleepy Joe? Maybe not, the dementia may have overtaken those memories…

      1. I think you meant to name yourself CommitToDishonestDiscussion. That would be the more honest than anything you have ever posted.

        1. hal:

I like “Committed to Disclosing Fools.” Consider yourself “tagged” or not. By the way, how’s Trump’s A1C? You seem to like remote diagnosis.

        2. hal, if you think I’ve said something false, just quote it and provide evidence that it’s false. If you’re right, I’d like to correct whatever mistake I made.
So far, all you’ve done is make an evidenceless allegation. If your claim is accurate, it should be astoundingly easy for you to provide a quote and counterevidence.

          1. Commit:
I think everything about you is “false” as in unauthentic from your cowardly pseudonym to you crowing omniscience to your childish whining about being picked on. You’re a thoroughly amusing fellow with all the substance of the tooth fairy. Carry on. I like the softballs you pitch.

            1. More macho preening from the poster most insecure about his own manhood and his ability to actually argue a point, Mespo.

            2. “[Mespo] doth protest too much, methinks.”

It’s unsurprising that your protest is all opinion and no evidence.

  16. It is antithetical to our constitutional values.

If you’re talking about the Democratic party and Biden the blowup doll they’re using to sell far left policy porn to the American people, then We agree.
