Res Ipsa Hits 48,000,000

crowd vj dayLast night, we passed the 48,000,000 mark in views on the blog. We just passed 47,000,000 and we are coming off a record year in terms of traffic and postings. The blog continues to grow with new regular commenters and a growing international readership. Again, we thank our loyal readers who return every day to discuss contemporary legal, political, and occasionally bizarre stories. We have used these moments to give thanks for our many regular readers around the world and give you an idea of the current profile of readers on the blog. We continue to rank with the top legal blogs in the world. As always, I want to offer special thanks for Darren Smith who has continued to help manage the blog and help out folks who encounter posting problems.

So here is our current profile:

 

This morning, we have over 19,500 posts. Given the fact that we just recently passed 47,000,000, most of the stats have remained the same. However, the one change is Twitter.  With the meltdown at Twitter, we saw a notable drop in Twitter subscribers as thousands of people have boycotted the company over censorship policies and banning President Trump.  It was amazing to watch from the view of the blog.

  6. I look forward to your debating in public and fielding questions from an audience so that some of your subscribers may be able to challenge some of your views. It’s not as educational only to lecture us without our being able to ask questions! You repeat a lot of your legal conclusions without going into greater detail. As a law professor, I would have expected your articles to dig deeper into the legal arguments for and against. I realize that this blog is not a law class, but I would ask that you make references to scholarly papers that explore your topics in greater detail if you don’t have the time or inclination to do so.

  10. This “blog” is the high place on my things to do each day. It is a choice not an echo. I am all the way. A year called twenty twenty one will not be like one number after the other. The Lincoln log may come back this year as the wierdos from Trump land recede into the bottom of the outhouse. Ask not what you’re country can do for you. Ask what you can do for the world. The best place in my world today will be a law library that has many books. Praise the Lard and pass the ammunition.

  12. This is my first stop every morning along with my first cup of coffee.

    I start my day off by learning something. every day….even if it is as simple as some folks have no ability to think critically and carefully analyse the issue(s) being discussed.

    But, some very astute comments can be found that remind me we can differ but do so respectfully.

    I very much appreciate Professor Turley and wish I had more like him during my time in University.

    One of my College Professors, Saul Brenner, opened my eyes to how the Supreme Court operates….as he specialized in “Judicial Behavior” and very much rewarded “thinkers” that offered a challenge to his analysis of this data.

    Professor Truley’s contribution by maintaining this Blog is very much appreciated as I see him providing a forum that benefits us all.

    1. I appreciate and respect your knowledge and honesty. Both are rare these days. As as educator I find this frightening and disturbing.
