This afternoon, I have the pleasure of moderating an outstanding panel as part of the Federal Bar Association conference. The panel is entitled “Governing the Internet and the Future of Section 230 Continuing Legal Education on the Constitution“ and will be held virtually on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 12:00 p.m. EDT. Joining on the panel will be Carrie Goldberg, C.A. Goldberg (Victims’ Rights Law Firm); Philip Hamburger (Maurice and Hilda Friedman Professor of Law, Columbia Law School); and Samir Jain (Center for Democracy and Technology, Director of Policy).
Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230) is much in the news as online companies, including social-media platforms, engaged in expanding “content modification” or private censorship. I have testified and written on this trend from a free speech perspective. As I previously stated, I remain an “Internet Originalist” and oppose such censorship.
This panel offers a wide array of experience and viewpoints on the subject.
When you people make your ridiculous proposals for more and evermore taxation and regulation, please cite the Constitution wherein a legal basis for each may be discovered.
Congress has the power to tax ONLY for “…general Welfare…,” omitting and, thereby, excluding any power to tax for individual welfare, specific and particular welfare, charity or redistribution of wealth.
Congress has the power to regulate ONLY the value of money, the flow of commerce among states, tribes and foreign nations, and land and naval Forces.

Your irrational rush to “cause/effect” is typical of those who wish to control the speech of others. And you will, no doubt, be the authority on what exactly is “hate speech” as opposed to “opinion difference”, and create a nation of fearful, paranoid idiots. Does the ABA even matter anymore? I recall that they didn’t step in to provide guidance or discipline for those demented and perverted Lincoln Project attorneys doxing those attorneys working for Trump.
Attorneys were not doxxed. Attorneys have to put their names on paperwork and they are a matter of court record, and they do not hide out from the public view. That’s ridiculous you think someone’s attorney could represent their client in secret.

Biden (well, his “handlers”) currently runs roughshod over the will of the people. Oh, he’s quieter than Trump. Hides in the dark. Our borders are overrun, we’re landing troops in Syria, allowing China to bully Hong Kong and Taiwan, mortgaging the future of our children with crushing debt, and making our Capitol look like a third world dictator had just been elected, and they worried people might not “respect” the steal.
