Happy Easter!!!!

I wanted to send my best wishes everyone celebrating the holiday today. Last year, I wrote about “having the best Easter in the worst of times” due to the pandemic.  Notably, today the family is getting vaccinated with the first open vaccine site in Fairfax.  Like the holiday itself, it is a sign of hope and renewal. Last year, I had not seen my eldest son Ben (working at a hospital) for weeks at the height of the pandemic and I spent the holiday with caregivers and my mother in hospice in Chicago. I spent weeks with my Mom in my hometown. She then rallied and I am home with my family in McLean for this holiday.

Last night, we celebrated Passover on Friday with Leslie’s incredible Matzo ball soup and brisket. As usual, I passed on the gefilte fish and chopped liver.

Tonight we feast on a mustard and herb coated lamb (that I am cooking) and an assortment of delicious items.  We have some incredible desserts from a beautiful egg cake to a variety of pastries and cookies.  That is on top of the overflowing baskets left by the Easter Bunny.  (Even though my kids are older, they indulge me . . . or at least allow me to indulge them).

[Update: We went to the open vaccination location but it had a three block line that barely moved with hundreds of people. We finally bailed rather than spend hours in line on Easter Sunday but hope to get the family vaccinated soon.]

  8. Agree about chopped liver, but gefilte fish? It’s not just food. It’s medicine like chicken soup. Put enough horseradish on it and it will unclog your sinuses.

May truth and reason reign around your table as it does in your work, and (hopefully) personal life! In the whole History of our species we have never lived at such a fast-paced and exciting time as now! May the algorithms fall and (ultimately) the truth will be revealed.     I’m sure people who have been injured & killed by these new Experimental Gene Therapies world be very interested in the opinions of lawyers & torts professors!!

    1st thing is they are not approved by the FDA as a Vaccine.

    2nd thing is those Experimental Gene Therapies will now no longer claim product liability immunity as it becomes widely known that there were/are safe & effective therapies that have long shown very high efficacy rate that are not Experimental.
