The expanding censorship on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook continue to be a major issue in the United States. However, the same debate is occurring in Europe despite a long erosion of free speech values. In Spain, a far-right politician was locked out by Twitter after saying “a man cannot get pregnant” because they have “no uterus or eggs.” Francisco José Contreras, deputy to Spain’s Vox Party, made the response to an article about a transgender male who the birth of a baby girl. The remark was deemed hate speech by Twitter.
Contreras said in a Facebook post on May 11 that he had received a message from Twitter which informed him that he had violated its policies on “hate speech” and explained “The hateful tweet (which I was forced to delete) was one that said: ′’A man cannot get pregnant. A man has no womb or eggs.’ You can see this is already fascist biology. Next time I’ll try 2 + 2 = 4.”
Personally, I found Contreras’ posting to be nasty, demeaning, and gratuitous. This couple was celebrating the birth of their new child. However, this is an example of how the solution to bad speech is more and better speech — not censorship. There are many who share this view which has deep political, religious, and social foundations. Rather than simply responding to such comments, many want to stop others from speaking or hearing such views.
In response, Contreras’ supporters started #AManCannotBePregnant.
This is not the first run-in for the Vox party. The party’s account was suspended in January for claiming that high crime rates were tied to North African immigrants.

For free speech advocates, we need to educate the American public on where this road leads and why we need to stay faithful to our core values. What is at stake is the very right that has long defined us as a nation. Once we cross the Rubicon into speech criminalization and controls, Europe has shown that it is rarely possible to work back to liberties lost. We are moving into potentially the most anti-free speech period of American history — and possibly the most anti-free speech Administration. Many politicians are already arguing for citizens to give up their free speech rights in forums like the Internet. With the media echoing many of these anti-free speech sentiments, it will require a greater effort of those who value the First Amendment and its core place in our constitutional system.

Also, I did not say sex is based on it but it is possible that one’s internal perception of sex might be. It is an interesting coincidence that perceived sex is aligned with brain structure in some studies.
As I said, if your brain were implanted in The Armold’s skull you likely would still see yourself as female though to all appearances you would not be. Identity is in the brain.
Yes, your perception might be that you are the opposite sex that you were born with. That is the dysphoria they experience. I’m not saying that doesn’t happen, of course it does. It’s rare considering so many children who think they are the opposite sex revert back to the sex they were born with when they are in their teens. And it doesn’t make you the opposite sex which trans activists want us all to believe. It also doesn’t account for why there are numerous de-transitioners when they are older in life.
There are a lot of detransitioners because not every case is genuine. Few are. I am particularly concerned that it has become a fad among young girls seeking attention. But this isn’t a harmless fashion like going Goth that they can put aside when they get older. They are destroying their bodies and their lives with encouragement and pressure from society and from mothers who I suspect are engaged in Munchausen by Proxy seeking attention themselves. In our mad society a rare medical condition has been turned into a political war leaving a lot of wreckage in its wake.
Yes, I agree with you that this has become dangerous especially to young girls. And there are some crazy parents out there who do cause their children harm by pushing them into being trans. The entire country has become unhinged with this transmania. Look at women’s sports! It’s ludicrous to think boys/men should be able to compete with girls in track, wrestling, weight lifting, rugby, MMA or any other sport that requires speed and strength. Sports are separated by sex and not gender identity for a reason. Trans people can do anything they want with their bodies they have that right. But I draw the line where their demands impact the rest of the population, especially girls. A tiny minority of people should not have a say over the majority population.
The cluster of attention seeking girls has been seen before. In New England a few decades ago a young girl who was pregnant remained in school and got a lot of attention and sympathy from every quarter. Next thing they knew, they had a lot of pregnant girls running around town expecting the same attention and sympathy. In Miletus about 600 BC they had numerous girls commiting suicide with several elaborate funerals going through the sobbing streets. Desperate officials turned to wise man Thales for help. He said decree that every girl suicide must be naked during her funeral. The suicides stopped. Now instead of suicide or pregnancy it is sex change and it is the same destructive madness.

The pregnant girl did not deserve sympathy, nor secular lucre, but rather support after making the right choice: life. Her boyfriend deserved a reminder that with pleasure comes responsibility to her and their child. The hardest job you’ll ever love. In any case. they had two informed choices. a third choice that was tolerable, and a fourth choice that would confirm her and his dignity and agency. She abstained from the anti-choice or Pro-Choice, the wicked solution, and that is commendable.
The problem was returning her to school where attention seeking girls could watch, and envy, the attention lavished on the girl tempting them to do the same. That was not a good outcome.
