White House Mum on Hunter Biden Story as DOJ Acquires Additional Financial Records

In the aftermath of the New York Times admitting that the Hunter Biden laptop was authentic all along, the Biden White House has gone into radio silence — and few reporters are pressing the President for an answer. White House press secretary Jen Psaki  previously spread the false claim that the laptop was Russian disinformation (as did President Biden). She is now saying that it would be inappropriate for her to address her prior comments on the scandal. Thankfully, there has been no run to the local ice cream store but this cone of silence is occurring as reports come out of additional evidence acquired on Hunter Biden in the ongoing criminal investigation.

Psaki was not as reticent when she was spreading the false story (in contradiction to the findings of American intelligence) that this was a hoax. She declared “I think it’s broadly known and widely known that there was a broad range of Russian disinformation back in 2020.”

Now that her statements (and those of the president) are recognized as untrue, Psaki will not entertain questions, responding “I’d point you to the Department of Justice and Hunter Biden’s representatives.” Of course, the Justice Department will not comment on pending investigations. However, the question was about her own role in spreading, ironically, disinformation.

The radio silence is deafening as new reports indicate that the grand jury continues to drill down on Hunter Biden’s finances.  As we discussed earlier, the woman who had a child out of wedlock with Hunter Biden has given documents detailing his finances to the grand jury.

Notably, Clint Lancaster, an attorney for Lunden Roberts, told CNBC he also offered “a significant amount of [Biden’s] financial records” to investigators in response to a subpoena and that he “expects” Hunter Biden to be indicted.

When Hunter Biden’s book came out, the media largely lionized him for his brave account of personal debauchery while largely avoiding questions about millions in alleged influence peddling with foreign interests. Reporters allowed Biden to claim, for example, that he had no memory of the long-night stand with Roberts despite emails contradicting that claim. They also did not confront him with his disgraceful and protracted litigation to refuse to support his child.

With the rising possibility of an indictment, the media has to try to clean up its long promulgation of this false claim. It is not, however, addressing what those now authentic emails say about the influence peddling schemes of the Biden family.

It is also refusing to address the fact that, even if influence peddling is legal, this is a pattern of gross corruption by the family in cashing in on Biden’s tenure as vice president. This allowed President Biden to repeatedly and falsely claim that “no one has suggested that My Son did anything wrong.”

The media is also avoiding the obvious question of why Merrick Garland (who pledged to be apolitical) has steadfastly refused to appoint a special counsel in the case.

As with House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D., Cal.) and the 50 “experts” who pushed this false claim, there appears little interest in confronting those who assured voters that the laptop scandal was nothing more than Russian disinformation. It appears that spreading disinformation about Russian disinformation is not viewed as news when done in the name of a good cause.

  1. Republicans need to stop talking about “apologies” from NYT and lying media. They should be shouting for the STRIPPING OF SECURITY CLEARANCES, FIRING and PROSECUTION of ALL 50 INTELLIGENCE OFFICIALS who knowingly lied and put their name to a letter 2 weeks before the election in order to interfere and sway it to Biden.

Brennan, Clapper, Panetta and all the rest. MAKE THEM PAY for their actions.

TAKE AWAY THEIR CLEARANCES for LYING and ELECTION INTERFERENCE. Stop talking about apologies and DO SOMETHING to hold these liars accountable!

    1. You allege lies, but you haven’t quoted any lie, and despite that, you’re shouting in caps that security clearances should be taken away. Sheesh.

      1. “You allege lies, but you haven’t quoted any lie”

        +++

I think he is referring to the ‘intelligence’ officials’ false [lying] claim that Hunter’s laptop looked like a typical Russian disinformation stunt.

Our ‘intelligence’ apparatus has proven itself to be corrupt and more dangerous to America than to America’s foreign enemies.

    2. BB: You sound like you believe that our two parties are in opposition to each other. But, think about how many questions would be answered and how many mysteries would now make sense if we thought that they are really not opposed, but in cahoots with each other to defraud the American voter? Congress has (both sides) been lined up at the feed trough of lobbyists and foreign interests while collecting pay from us. They even get their children involved (Kerry). They oppose each other in debate, and in voting, but they do the same thing themselves that they they decry the other group for doing. It’s a game, a show, and you and I are paying for it. If we thought that there really is no difference, that all “professional politicians” are screwing us, so much would make sense. Just consider it…

  2. Of course she was lying. Thank God she’s not smart enough to simply respond with. ‘at the time that I held that view, I honestly believed it to be true’ then refer the reporters to the DOJ.

      1. Epstein: “Q: How do you know when Jen Psaki is lying?”

        +++

        When she speaks.

  3. In related news… all four major swine states have found solid PROOF of massive voter FRAUD… why is Joke Biden then still in office???
Simple… our FBI, DOJ, Courts and FEC are all totally corrupt and have been for decades. Especially the SCROTUS

  4. Hunter has repeatedly claimed he was, pressured , to pay Joes bills. That’s, the 64 trillion dollar question, has Hunter in fact paid any of Joes bills ? Joe has no obligation to have knowledge of his sons, tax returns, or there content.

  5. the idiocy and ,break from reality, the democrat Biden voters express here on the comment section is breathtaking in it’s derangement and complete lobotomization.
What reality do you people reside in?
    twlight zone!

    1. It’s insane, it’s like we live in 2 different realities. Mass formation psychosis is real.

    1. no it isn’t, lol….that’s fake news Washington Compost, mouth piece of the CIA and globalists, ahahhahahahaha
they lie and gas light as S.O.P.

        1. Anomaly,

          Let’s look at your article.

“There are at least four questions that arose from the initial report. Those are:

          – How did the information published by the New York Post purportedly get from Hunter Biden to the paper?
          – Was that information legitimate?
          – Was the media’s skepticism about the chain of custody and the information warranted?
          – Was the social media blackout of the Post’s story warranted?

In this article, we’ll only look at the overlap of the first and third questions…”

What is your point in posting a WaPo article that ignores the second question of whether the NY Post article was true? Are you unable to recognize that this is nothing more than the WaPo attempting offer a justification for its’ false reporting?

          1. “Anomaly, ”

            Grow up.

I already said what my point was, and your second question is a loaded question. If you think they said something false, either you can demonstrate that, or you cannot, but so far, you haven’t.

            1. Anomaly,

I have simply pointed out that this article is nothing more than the WaPo attempting to justify its’ false reporting on the HB laptop. I have not claimed that any specific points in the article are false but I will go on the record by stating that the basic premise of the article is false. The MSM is not without blame in promoting the lie that the HB laptop is disinformation.

My second question was “ [a]re you unable to recognize that this is nothing more than the WaPo attempting offer a justification for its’ false reporting?”

How is this a ‘loaded question’ unless, of course, you are unwilling to admit that you have been duped by the MSM again.

  6. With his tanking approval ratings like a dagger plunging ever more deeply into the heart of the Democrats’ flailing hopes for the 2022 midterms, the long knives are coming out for the cognitively impaired and hopelessly outclassed Joe ‘the Big Guy’ Biden. The chief architect of the debacle in Afghanistan. The commander-in-chief entrusted with the lives of our sons and daughters in our armed forces. And of most immediate concern, the man responsible for America’s foreign policy in Ukraine and Russia.

The level of the Biden family’s corrupt entanglements in both of those countries is mind boggling. What do we know? As Vice President, Joseph Robinette Biden was the point man for US policy in the Ukraine, responsible for the critical efforts to fight corruption in a country ranked near the bottom of Transparency International’s global corruption index.

So what happened? The Ukrainians paid protection money to his crack-addled son Hunter for alleged ‘service’ on the board of directors of Ukrainian natural gas producer Burisma Holdings. A fossil fuel producer? Irony noted. But hey, all money in the service of progressive causes is green, isn’t it? Better still, Joseph Robinette Biden bragged, live on video to a group of amused foreign policy elites, about his threat to withhold US aid to Ukraine unless they fired the prosecutor. Darned straight they fired him. Protection money well spent.

And then there is the infamous laptop video of Hunter cavorting naked in a hotel room with a Las Vegas prostitute, bragging about his raging, blacked-out benders with his Russian friends. Even in his stupor, Hunter worried, out loud to a prostitute, that the Russians had information that they could use to blackmail him and his soon-to-be President father. It would be almost parody if it wasn’t both pathetic and terrifying at the same time.

Layered on top of that is the long-buried Uranium One scandal. A transaction orchestrated by Hillary Clinton and a host of foreign policy elites that transferred critical American uranium rights to their then best friend Vladimir Putin’s Russia. Accompanied by vast speaking fees to husband Bill and the Clinton Foundation. Bill always was an interesting guy with valuable wisdom on any number of topics. At least until his wife was out of power, that is.

So, how exactly is it that Joseph Robinette Biden can be trusted to lead American foreign policy in one of the most volatile areas of the world? There is far too much that we don’t know, far too much that has been hidden from the American public, for us to have any confidence in Biden’s ability to lead our nation’s response to a war between two nations in which his family has deeply disturbing entanglements. We really do have a crisis of leadership. It is time for Biden and his family to come clean. Or for Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. to leave office.

    1. Just curious if the dims will dump the big guy so they can have a different candidate for 2024. The poles don’t look good. But then again neither did Trumps in 2016.

  7. Turley says,

“ It is also refusing to address the fact that, even if influence peddling is legal, this is a pattern of gross corruption by the family in cashing in on Biden’s tenure as vice president. This allowed President Biden to repeatedly and falsely claim that “no one has suggested that My Son did anything wrong.”

Turley himself can’t state what exactly is the “gross corruption” he’s talking about. He already acknowledges that influence peddling IS legal. It if is. What is the illegal or what was wrong?

Biden did not falsely claim that Hunter Biden did anything wrong when even Turley himself can elaborate what Hunter did wrong.

There’s no such thing as gross corruption. There’s Grand corruption or petty corruption, but no “gross corruption.

In order for corruption to be criminal there would have to be proof of harm to someone else.

Influence peddling USED TO BE a part of criminal corruption until the Supreme Court ruled influence peddling to be legal.

So what exactly is the crime that Turley and everyone else seems to be implying is being committed here?

    1. The crime is selling Americas interests for Bidens own receiving $$. Biden was suppose to be making decisions based on Americas best interests with regards to every interaction with Ukraine. Instead he made decisions to keep US dollars flowing to them so their $$ would flow to his family!!

    2. “So what exactly is the crime . . .”

It is a *moral* crime to sellout your country. It is a *moral* crime to lie to the entire country about your grifter family’s betrayal.

      1. It’s not a “moral crime.” Crimes are legal issues. You think it’s immoral for Biden to have said whatever he said. Fine, but don’t act like a whiny child pretending that it’s criminal. On top of that, you haven’t provided evidence of Joe Biden having betrayed the country.

  8. Turley the hypocrite. Admittedly, I didn’t read this trash piece because I could see that it’s just more red meat and diversion away from the pro-Putin doubling down by the Comrades Carlson, Trump and Cawthorn and the Fox Propaganda Network, But, scrolling down, this caught my eye: ” the media has to try to clean up its long promulgation of this false claim. It is not, however, addressing what those now authentic emails say about the influence peddling schemes of the Biden family. It is also refusing to address the fact that, even if influence peddling is legal, this is a pattern of gross corruption by the family in cashing in on Biden’s tenure as vice president.”

GROSS CORRUPTION in the same sentence wherein you admit that what you are calling “influence peddling” might be legal? Which is it, Turley? You can’t even say there’s any crime involved. but, nevertheless, you still attack non-Trump media, while ignoring all of the crimes committed by Trump. What about your employer cleaning up its act first, beginning with banning of lies about bio weapons labs in Ukraine, and claims that bloodied pregnant women standing outside a bombed maternity hospital are paid actresses, and the vicious attacks against our President that are used as Russian propaganda–then, maybe you can start talking about other media cleaning up its act.

    1. “GROSS CORRUPTION in the same sentence wherein you admit that what you are calling “influence peddling” might be legal? Which is it, Turley? You can’t even say there’s any crime involved… blah blah blah”

Influence peddling is not illegal (sorry for the double negative, but “legal” would be too strong here), but influence peddling is highly unethical. Methinks “corruption” can encompass deeds that are just unethical.

    2. Hate red meat do you? And why are you asking Turley questions? He doesn’t have time to monitor or respond to comments from “trolls and juvenile posters” like yourself.

    3. Trump: No evidence. Endless investigations.
      Biden: Endless evidence. No investigations.

    4. Is this the same NATASHA BERTRAND who published the propaganda concerning Crack Head’s lap top? Natasha, the selling out our country by an elected official is a crime. Helping to cover up those crimes makes you an accessory to those crimes.

      1. EDNKH- I like your line of reasoning. Careful though, because with that name you might be smeared with the often unhinged rantings of this Epstein!

  9. The Bagman of Delaware might get karma. And what would be our reward? The Bagwoman of Silicon Valley would take his place.

East-Coast white privilege will do whatever it takes to stop West-Coast oligarchy from running the national country club in D.C. That they are all Democrats has nothing to do with who gets the cherrywood offices. The backbiting that has gone on between Biden’s clique and Harris’s office confirms that.

They may hate Republicans, but if they ever actually marginalize the red states, we won’t be one country anymore. We’ll be two coasts with divergent interests separated by an ocean of red resentment. We’ll be Pakistan and Bangladesh with India in between–and we’ll be just that broke, too. If we split, Beijing won’t need corporate shills in the U.S. anymore, and Beijing won’t have to fear the U.S. Navy either. Every US industry dependent on the exploitation of cheap Asian labor will be told to park their ships elsewhere.

Ultimately, the globalist vision for the world spells doom for America but try telling that to these clueless snobs.

Sorry for rambling. I find the whole thing distracting.

    1. What are you trying to say?

Is that meant literally or as a “joke”? If it’s literal, we should all hope that he doesn’t give in to his suicidal ideation. If it’s a “joke,” I’ve lost someone I loved to suicide, and I encourage you not to joke about it.

  10. NO RESPECT is due Joe Biden as president of the country he sold out to enrich his greedy, sleazy, sick family. He deserves to be impeached and hung as a treasonous traitor. He was installed as a puppet president through a corrupted election.

Biden’s measure of success as a politician is how filthy rich his family has become during his 50 years of hanging around Washington, DC doing nothing but being bought off and selling out his country by some of the biggest sleazebags in the world.

We are in serious trouble as a country. This is a frightening time to be an American with such a corrupt government going after its own citizens and propaganda press propping it all up with lies. The sick Biden family is getting away with its filthy corruption. Impeach Biden!

    1. Anonymous,

Why should that be a concern? Trump’s own family profited from their fathers position just as well. Corruption was just as rampant and influence peddling, which Turley acknowledged is perfectly legal, was the norm. Turley obviously maintained his own “radio silence” on Trump’s own issues with corruption and influence peddling.

Hypocrisy seems to be Turley’s problem lately.

      1. when can’t accept the truth the lefties resort to pulling out the boogie man TRUMP!

        1. Anonymous, it’s not about accepting truth. It’s about recognizing the fact that there’s no real distinction between what Hunter Biden is accused of and Trump. Because BOTH have been doing the same things Turley is saying. Influence peddling by family members and corruption.

Republicans obviously have no problem with ether since they accept Trump’s corruption and influence peddling as just business as usual, but Biden isn’t allowed to do the same thing because….?

      2. Svelaz says:

“Hypocrisy seems to be Turley’s problem lately.”

And he can continue to avoid accountability by refusing to entertain any questions whatsoever as well as declining an invitation to debate in public. Eventually, his two-facedness will catch up to him, and he will have to defend his indefensible hypocrisy.

        1. When are you going to stop “avoiding accountability”? You still need to verify your identity. You said everyone on here should.

Turley doesn’t have time to monitor these blogs nor does he have to answer questions from or debate “trolls and juveniles”.

            1. Jeff, I doubt that’s Meyer. Meyer has attacked me much longer than he has you, including under his old name, Allan, and that doesn’t sound like Meyer to me. Also, Meyer has tremendous difficulty constraining his desire to insult and lie about me, so if he were posting comments here, it’s very likely that he would have attacked my comments.

That said, it’s ironic that someone posting under the name “Sergeant Major” is harassing you about confirming your identity.

              1. Thanks for your opinion.

How should I confirm my identity? I have provided my real name and revealed that I live in Marin County. That’s easy enough to confirm by a Google Search. It’s really up to Turley to confirm people’s identity privately, but he has stated that to do so would be an infringement of free speech. Result- a cesspool of hate.

Can you imagine Turley reading aloud to an audience some of the contributions from those whom he considers among his “blog family”? It is inconceivable that Turley is not fully aware that his commentary is feeding the very *rage* which he constantly decries. Yet, not once, not ever, has he stated to his followers that they are misinterpreting his commentary to fuel their hate.

                It’s despicable.

                1. Agreed.

I don’t know how you’d confirm your identity to someone here, unless perhaps you linked to your own website and posted a photo, as Steve Witherspoon has done, though I suppose even there someone could create a fake identity. (For the record, I assume that Steve is who he says he is, as I believe that you are who you say. I also don’t care. I only care about the contents of people’s comments.)

                  1. I agree that the contents only matter except shame would reduce the obnoxious comments if the identities were known.

                    1. Jeff,

I disagree, being shamed has not stopped you from being obnoxious.

                    2. Ray,

I could not care less what lying Trumpists think about my conduct.

      3. While influence peddling may not be illegal, the question should be what decisions have been made by those in positions to “sell out” or disadvantage our country politically or economically (or in the area of national security). If no one goes after Hunter for “influence peddling,” I’d still like to know why he got to fly around on government planes and get Secret Service protection on trips that he was using to do business? Something is not right about that, and if that seems ok to his dad and the other members of the administration, what other things are they doing that we might not find OK? Seems reasonable to shine a light on this and see how far it goes. Not a vendetta, not a political lynching, just a check to see if everyone is playing by the rules. Why should I be suspicious when we know the President is a good guy? Well, failure to secure the border, breaking his oath by not upholding our laws, flying illegal aliens around the country at night on secret flights…just for starters. If he’s willing to do those things, which ignore the laws of our country and endanger our national security (what other country is sending “refugees” across our border?), then I think that’s a pretty good indicator that looking into Hunter and his dealings for “the big guy” seems like a reasonable thing.

        1. “I’d still like to know why he got to fly around on government planes and get Secret Service protection on trips that he was using to do business?”

For the same reason that the Trump kids and Kushner got Secret Service protection on trips where they were doing business: because it wouldn’t be good for the US if a President or VP’s kids were captured and held hostage, regardless of what they’re doing when they’re traveling. In fact, prior to leaving office, Trump approved an extension of their Secret Service protection after he was out of office.

    2. Anonymous says, “ Biden’s measure of success as a politician is how filthy rich his family has become during his 50 years of hanging around Washington, DC doing nothing but being bought off and selling out his country by some of the biggest sleazebags in the world.”

Nothing illegal about being successful and earning wealth. The Trump family has been doing the same thing for years. All Perfectly legal. Ivanka’s business getting preferential treatment from China because of Trump’s position. Taking advantage of family influences is nothing new. Heck republicans embrace it like it’s their patriotic duty.

This is why the DOJ isn’t going to put a special counsel. There was no need for one when Trump’s family did it. Neither is there a need for Biden’s.

      1. “Nothing illegal about being successful and earning wealth.”

Not illegal when professional sleezy politicians like Joe Biden are the ones making the laws. Why would they make their money-making schemes illegal? They’re all hanging around DC getting filthy rich.

What the Biden family does as their family “business” is nothing more than corruption. It is sleeze. Cashing in. Selling out. Being bought off. Legal bribery. What Biden has done is affecting our national security, foreign policy and the country as a whole.

Trump built a successful business empire, built things, created jobs, tax base, etc. No comparison to the sleezy grifting Biden has been engaged in for his entire political career. Fifty years of sleeze is the Big Guy’s only family business. Biden is not an honorable man. Never was. Never will be. He is a sellout. Nothing more than an bought off, corrupt politician.

        1. And make no mistake, everyone knows this about Joe Biden. The world over, Biden’s reputation is that of a dumb, easily bought politician. Biden is the dishonorable head of a dishonorable family of grifters. Nothing more.

        2. Anonymous,

“ Trump built a successful business empire, built things, created jobs, tax base, etc. No comparison to the sleezy grifting Biden has been engaged in for his entire political career.”

LOL! Trump built his “successful” business on the same sleezy, gritting schemes, he’s well known for it. The only difference is he did it as a businessman instead of a politician. He has done the same things Biden is accused of and it’s perfectly legal.

          1. Wrong again. Trump has NOT done “the same things Biden is accused of”…..not even close.

          2. Trump may be “well known for it” over on MSNBC and CNN, and the rest of the Fake News, but that doesn’t make it so in the real world.

Just as Biden may be “known” as an “honorable, hardworking, saavy, smart, selfless public servant” over on MSNBC and CNN. But that doesn’t make it so in the real world.

        3. Trump inherited a business empire along with his siblings, and he’s engaged in plenty of sleezy grifting, which is why he had to settle the Trump U. fraud suit, had to close his Trump Foundation charity and repay $ he’s used fraudulently, is facing another fraud suit with his niece, …

            1. Time will tell. Oral arguments were in January, and now we wait for Judge Reed to rule.

But the fact is that he already settled the Trump U. fraud suit, and he was already ordered by the NY Supreme Court to dissolve the Trump Foundation and to pay $2M in damages for misusing Foundation funds. He’s a con man.

          1. Whatever Trump did or may have done in private business did not impact the national security and foreign policy of the country in the way Biden’s worldwide family corruption is doing.

            1. Trump was impeached for trying to extort Ukraine into announcing an investigation of his political rival. He was impeached again after trying to pressure Pence into betraying his oath of office and creating a crowd on Jan. 6, riling it up, aand sending it to the Capitol to further pressure Pence and interfere with the peaceful transfer of power via Congress certifying the EC vote. There’s plenty of Trump corruption impacting national security and foreign policy.

                1. He was impeached twice “you loon.” Perhaps you’ve confusing impeachment, which occurs solely in the House, with the removal trial/vote, which occurs solely in the Senate. He was impeached twice but not convicted.

              1. Anonymous: Yep, Trump was a bad guy. Yep, Trump did nasty things. Yep, that has nothing to do with Biden, whether he’s a good guy or not, whether he is evil, etc. Get a grip. In most of the forums I see, the commenters eventually get around to “we have to excuse Biden because Trump…” Not so. Just because one person did something never excuses another doing the same thing. What is the issue today, when Joe Biden, not Trump, is in power and in the hot seat? Today, not in the past.

                1. I was responding to the person who claimed “Whatever Trump did or may have done in private business did not impact the national security and foreign policy of the country in the way Biden’s worldwide family corruption is doing” while ignoring Trump’s corrupt acts in office, which did affect both our national security and foreign policy.

I think Trump’s effort to extort Ukraine in exchange for weapons and to blame Ukraine for Russia’s hack of the DNC server is relevant to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. I think Trump’s choice to fire our Ukrainian Ambassador, Marie Yovanovich, after being pushed to do so by Giuliani is also relevant.

                  The past influences the present.

    3. I’ll bet the Clintons are envious of how well the Biden clan is doing. If records were kept, I’ll bet the big guy would be the clear champion in this event.
