  1. “Today, Res Ipsa passed the 60,000,000 mark in views on the blog.”

    Congratulations JT (and Darren).

  2. Congrats, Prof. Turley..! Your Service to ‘Justice’ through awareness, enlightenment and understanding is much appreciated by all of us looking for sanity in an insane world God Bless You and Your Work.

  3. I have been a follower of the blog for 10 years. It’s the best I’ve encountered.

  4. Many thanks to Professor Turley for the blog and many thanks to Darren for his moderation services. Please keep up the great work, 70,000,000 views is right around the corner!

    1. You’ve changed from the law professor I had and loved. We all grow and evolve. Some regress. The end.

  5. For me, this blog is a constant learning experience. Thank you Professor for giving us this opportunity. The only thing I would like to see added, if it is possible, is to identify the country from which the bloggers come. Sometimes the words used provide a clue but I, for one, forget that the person responding to something someone writes may be on the other side of the world and yet have similar thoughts and concerns.

  6. Thanks for allowing me to play in your sandbox

🎶 May the Lord protect and defend you. 🎶

  7. Congratulations JT! As the blog continues to expand, please consider possible methods to take into account or respond to appropriate reader comments and information on some topics that is not too burdensome for you and your team.

    1. Yes, that would be swell if instead of patting himself on the back for his success, Turley would show us a modicum of respect by participating to some extent in his own blog. He takes questions from his law school students. There is no reason why he should not entertain a few questions from those of us who have made his blog such a raging success. It would not kill him to drop in from time to time just to prove that he is not altogether indifferent to what goes on here.

      1. Jeff’s arrogance is beyond belief. Did you ever think that Turley doesn’t like how you use his name and spin the content of what he says?

        1. All the more reason for JT to come on the blog and let us know what he thinks of Jeff’s comments.

          1. Citizen,

I believe that JT has let us know what he thinks about Jeff Simpleton. Turley said; ““**While we have our trolls** and blind partisans, most of those on this blog value passionate but civil discourse.”

Simpleton clearly falls into the troll category. Enough said.

            1. I’m sure that Turley would chastise you for your juvenile name calling. Wanna bet on it? Too bad we can’t ask him what he thinks of you compared to me. I’d gladly welcome his opinion.

              1. I think Turley would agree that Jeff Simpleton is an apt name for you.

              2. Jeff,

As you have explained many times before, it is not name calling when the name fits.

                1. Ray in SC:

Not unlike Turley describing Trump as a liar when he named him a “carnival snake charmer” long before he ran for president. More recently he has acknowledged that Trump is a “jerk.” The only thing Turley hasn’t yet conceded is whether Trump is a criminal. But unlike lying Trumpists, he is willing to countenance his criminal culpability provided the evidence can be shown. You, on the other hand, will never accept calling Trump a convict no matter how well the cufflinks fits.

                  1. Silberman’s mind left the scene when the carnival snake charmer made silberman dance like a snake and talk like an idiot.

                    1. Ray,

You have hitched your wagon to Trump; I am a NeverTrumper along with Turley. We’ll see who get the last laugh. We’ll see…

                    2. Jeff,

I must have you jumping at shadows. The Anon that said “[your] mind left the scene” was not me but, I wholeheartedly endorse his/her comment.

                    3. Ray, you and I are in synch. I made that comment and a few others to Jeff. I sometimes use an anonymous icon when talking to Jeff (and ATS) because I don’t want people wasting their time reading anonymous comments. I think they should all be deleted including mine. Jeff Simpleton’s comments waste enough time as it is.

                  2. Jeff,

Are you saying that me calling you a simpleton is “[n]ot unlike Turley describing Trump as a liar when he named him a “carnival snake charmer” long before he ran for [P]resident”?

Ok, I can accept this. Trump is a “carnival snake-charmer” and you are a simpleton. Well, to be clear, you are not just any simpleton, you are Jeff Simpleton.

                    1. Ray,

Your name calling does not do you any favors, but you can act like a juvenile because there are lots of Ray’s in SC. You would behave like an adult if you were not anonymous. Unlike you, I publicly stand by my comments.

                    2. ” I publicly stand by my comments.”

Do you know why? Because you are Jeff Simpleton. What an apt name.

                    3. Jeff,

Are you objecting to Trump being called a “carnival snake-charmer” or to you being called a simpleton? Your 4:30 pm post equated the two statements and all that I have done is to agree with you.

      2. Omg you are the only reason I would ever hesitate to comment – and I hate to feed your pathetic ego. That being said, I am grateful for Jonathan Turley – he is a bright light. A much needed bright light.

        1. Little doubt losing your mask in the photo will only enhance the belief in you natural brilliance among the many readers.

        2. Sheri,

I am a fan of Turley as well because he is a NeverTrumper. Never voted for him and long ago dismissed Trump as a conman, or as Turley called him, a “carnival snake charmer.” In addition, Turley called for Trump’s Congressional censure for his conduct on 1/6. Turley is my kind of dude.

      3. There’s a particularly noxious type of person in this culture.

First he insults and derides those who provide him with values. Then he demands more values from his victim.

        1. Sam,

I share Turley’s liberal values; I don’t share his value of money to the point of debasing myself to work for media mogul Rupert Murdoch whose Fox News spreads misinformation and scapegoating while stoking divisions and inflaming the rage which Turley rightly complains about everywhere but Fox.

      4. JeffSilberman just can’t stand to think that millions of people around the world don’t think like him. Jeff says, how could it be that so many people are so wrong. Does it ever once cross his mind that he may be on the wrong side of an issue? I leave the answer to your intelligent observance.

  8. Congratulations! Your insightful, knowledgeable comments are a breath of fresh air!

  9. Turley claims:

“While we have our trolls and blind partisans, most of those on this blog value passionate but civil discourse. It remains a great honor to serve as the host of such a growing and vibrant community.”

There is a lot of Trump in that statement! That’s all I got to say.

  10. Re: An amazing thing happened at Harvard’s graduation ceremonies recently. One of this year’s Harvard grads, Julie Hartman class of 2022, was chosen by the Headmaster of her House (dormitory) to give its graduation speech on May 3, 2022, delivered at Harvard Chapel.
All the 60 million should watch this brave woman and the inspiring speech she gave!

  11. Many thanks for your continuing dedication to enlightening us on these legal matters and issues of import on your blog!

      1. Yes Darren, you’ve kept this blog running near as perfect to a Swiss Watch as anyone could! Thank You ….. & P Turley.
